On the holding location while cooler it's installed. It's made for thumbs on screen while index and middle fingers on back for the L1/R1 + L2/R2. The leaves your ring and pinky finger as support. While also not stressing your pinky finger in a wide grip. This makes the controls similar to a game controller layout. It does prevent some of the exotic hand holds like "5 finger" gaming grip and the 6 finger screen hold.

Looks amazing wow, and i'm very interested
But there is a feature missing in this Rog Phone 6 is that there is no 3.5mm Jack on the Aero Cooler/Fan and that the problem is whenever you can use a type c converter to a 3.5mm jack but that becomes a problem when using a headset and charging at the same time and it's annoying..

And yeah you're right - this cooler is quite a downgrade in terms of functionality compared to the last one.
You can try to get the asus professional dock so yo can connect more usb accesories, i use to do it with mi rog phone 2 with the cooler and external usb dac attached at the same time and it was better to have all connected with one cable, and with the ethernet connection the temperatures get controlled a lot better as you can turn off wifi anthena, you can try and get a OTG usb dock as well if you dont find the asus professional dock

The software gives us the option to automatically turn off the fan when the microphones are active. I can't imagine how it's like if your teammates playing while hearing a whirlwind. 🤣
I'm using this now and I realised that the armory crate cooler temperate isn't really accurate, it seems to show the temperature inside the cooler instead of the temperature of the back plate. e.g. armoury crate shows cooler temperature 34 degrees but when i remove it, it's cold to the touch, probably about 20 degrees. i hope they will have a software update for this.

How can you turn off the annoying sound, when using a magnetic case for the phone the magnetic clip part keeps activating the aero cooler port. Is there a way to stop it?.

Also, that's a nice suggestion you mentioned: a controller grip for the fan or any 3rd party willing to do this. Makes the awkward hand position be less awkward lol

Nope. Once the cooler is attached, it can only be used for charging.

We've heard about such things happening to the ROG Phone 5. However, our unit was used to play Genshin Impact every single day and it still works perfectly fine - so I can't verify how severe the issue with ROG Phone 5 really is.
And so far, no such thing on the ROG Phone 6.
Did u test the cooler on the rog phone 6 or the rog phone 6 pro?

Both 6 and 6 Pro are exactly the same, only the back is different.

Hearing that people are encountering (motherboard issue it seems) camera clicking issue on rog 6 (mainly firmware 163 above for rog 6) / wifi issue on rog 5, just wondering how often would you do firmware update and is it better to charge battery through side port/bottom port? (Sorry if questions are silly or shouldn't be asked here) would like to hear a professional's opinion on this!
Not silly at all.
The motherboard issue - can't tell since our unit is working fine. Even the ROG Phone 5 is still working fine.
For camera clicking issue, no probs so far though might be the same as the motherboard - only happening to certain units.
For the charging, both ports are going to work the same.

Difficult to tell. I do know some phones have "bad updates" but I generally just update everything.
Please answer my question, can I use Aeroactive Cooler 6 bottom usb type-c port for plugging in headphones? (using type-c to 3.5mm converter)
I don't think it's possible. I tried connecting the phone to the PC via that side port, doesn't work.

I plugged in those USB-C to 3.5mm that doesn't have DACs inside and it doesn't work.

While using this cooler, is it possible to plug USB OTG? Does the cooler have USB C port or something ( Im curious if it is possible to play with non wireless xbox pad while using cooler at the same time)?
There is a USB-C port on the cooler but from what I've tested, it doesn't support OTG. Only meant for plugging into a charger.

Another note about this cooler. You can't really clean it. Can't disassemble it at all. There are no screws on it, also no response on forums about it. I guess the best way would be to use a pressurised air can to try and blow out the dust but it will stop working sooner or later due to not being able to clean it properly. I have used mine for a year.
Does the aeroactive cooler count as controller support on games like cod mobile or apex legends mobile? Or does it register it as a screen touch?

Nope. Once the cooler is in, you cannot use USB-C to output HDMI.
That bottom port is a USB 2.0 port, only for charging and slow data transfer

I don't use cooler trigger cuz to huge. So I just L1 L2 n R1 R2 9n the shoulder trigger. Including the air cooler u have 6 triggers.

This new one fits on the ROG Phone 5 yes, but the camera cutout is not the same. There's a huge empty space.

2. I think the none. The old coolers are not compatible with this phone.
If going by rog 5, this cooler will be needed to access x mode+ which is a step further compared to x mode. If so i think this cooler is very much needed for rog 6.
Rather pointless for now. There's no game that demand so much performance.
@@NasiLemakTech true, but mobile gaming is getting much more attention now. A lot of graphic demanding games are set to be released this year and next year. Aside from x mode+ to boost the performance, the heat problem that will come from those games really scares me. Rog 5 is quite bad at heat management especially in our malaysia climate, im hitting 70-80 degrees playing games like genshin. Therefore im having pretty high hopes for rog 6 and its cooler to perform properly.

@@loading...4304 in case of cooling yes it's way better than 5 by a lot , playing all day long temp didn't go over 30° and that's without freezer mode just a regular smart mode, when with 5 playing all day phone would reach up to 40+° ,now about the triggers,5>6 rog5 way more comfortable to use ,rog6 is just so massive and when playing shooters and want to use both phone triggers and coolers it's so uncomfortable hand position, imagine holding phone with a brick attached to it's back

Is it me, or my aacooler 6 often disconnected suddenly.. it so f annoying.. it's not usb type c prob but the upper clamp that have sensor that it will turn on the cooler if you clamp in
I think it's your unit's problem. Mine stays on when it's clamped.

I just buy aeroactive cooler 6 and use it.. after use it the firmware is updated automatically and effected my sound latency while gaming.. it's delay about 1-2 sec.. how can I fix it? I'm using rog phone 6..

Cooler 5 makes more sense. In ROG 5 the side USB port is free for PC transfer and Video Out while the fan is attached. In Phone 6 you can't do all this.

There's no battery in the cooler. Yes you do bypass charging by plugging it into the cooler.

Ah no, you just plug it into the cooler's port and you can use it frozen mode. The bottom port is not usable.

I don't understand mobile gaming when things like the Switch and Deck exist.
It's an expensive accessory but 6° C at 99.7% sustained performance after extended gaming (simulated) is the best sustained performance on ANY phone... Period. Not even an iPhone can match up to that sustained performance
I believe any other phones with a cooler will achieve this level of sustained performance.
The main benefit of this cooler is the extra buttons... if you use them, that is.

Rog 5s pro is such a failure ,most of the people had motherboards issues where the phone was unable to turn on..Ive been taking good care of it no overnight charge still i got the same issues like other did. So a big NO for me this time around.price does not matter to me but whats the point buying a luxury phone that's not even lasted for a year though.

I'm disappointed that thermoelectric is only active if the phone is connected. I was expecting to use the cooler 6 as the world's most yolked up drink coaster that would help keep my drink cold and my table hot.

The openness of the cooler makes it more accessible and practice as a coaster.

And if you use the cooler then that side port can't be connected to any earphones. It can only charge the phone.

RM300+ for a cooler, that is twice the price of last year. Heck
There are tons of other phone coolers out there that does the same thing and only sells for just 10% of the price of this cooler, without the software lock.
No idea who would buy this tho.
Buttons + smart software controls + RGB
Easy the others coolers will be on top of the the sided usb that will prevent you to use that port and dissmiss its Purpose
