I tried the force break mod on my jris65 because even with some foams in the top row was really pingy. It works wonders. This has to be my favorite mod so far in terms of how little effort it is for the benefits it can have. I am using my jris foamless now. I know that this mod will make a massive difference to some boards and not as much on others, but its genius.
It certainly might help though it's not obvious by watching and hearing the video. It's probably better understood by the person who types. Hopefully, it's an easy mod to apply between the parts assembling the chassis, depending on the specific keyboard design.
That can definitely help, force break seems to be very dependent on the keyboard itself, if your keyboard is super pingy its a potentially easy way to stop that noise, but unless its an issue you are already dealing with its not going to dramatically change anything.
force break is putting something like a layer of tape IN between the top and bottom case too sort of separate the two by a very miniscule amount too reduce ping between the two parts of the case, putting a deskpad UNDER the keyboard just reduces desk vibrations between the keyboard and the desk which are two very different results
I don’t think you get a ton of thock out of this one more if your aluminum board has some ping to it, it could help prevent that. The audio could be contributing to the sound you are hearing, but honestly these light switches with the ABS keycaps also just have a bit of a higher pitch click to them. Nothing beats foam for more thock imo
just got this board today and honestly mine sounds perfectly fine even without the force break mod.

Yea I think the board itself plays a huge role in whether or not you will see the benefits, but a great and easy mod to have in your pocket.
Great tutorial and sound test.
i ordered my 1st custom keyboard today and that is Monsgeek m1. Hope it gets delivered soon, so that i can start modding it.

Not really sure what force break mod is but might as well use a deskpad under the keyboard to get the same results

Very interesting, I heard high pitch after force break Mod? I thought it should be more thock, but not more clear nore high pitch?

The force break mod mostly removes ping from the case and that can effect the sound
it`s actually only for metal case?
Spacebar fixed 👌
doesn't really sound pingy before
Mod ❤
