Durock T1 Tactile Switch Review
The Durock T1 Switch is popular switch when looking for tactile switches. It comes in a number of different spring weights and isn't a super aggressive tactile feel.

65% Keyboard Comparison- KBD67 vs Bakeneko65
มุมมอง 2.3Kปีที่แล้ว
Today we are looking at two great keyboards in the 65% layout. This more compact layout has become a favorite of mine for a clean desk setup for work and these are two of the best to look at. The KBD67 is one of my absolute favorite budget keyboards out there and the Bakeneko65 has a more unique build style. If you are looking for smaller form factor, you need to consider both of these boards. ...
Tactile Switches On a Budget - Akko V3 Cream Blue
มุมมอง 2.1Kปีที่แล้ว
Akko Cream Blues are the main competition to the lavender purple in the Akko line up. They require a bit more force to use which makes them a great choice for people looking for a bit more pressure needed to use the switches but still want a great price. Lego Keyboard - Fun or Frustrating?
มุมมอง 714ปีที่แล้ว
Super excited to get into the "Lego" Keyboard or the Kit Adam as it is really called by KBDCraft. The idea for something like this is really awesome for those of us that love to build legos. The execution though might be a bit lacking for the overall experience of the keyboard. They did a lot of things right with this one and with some improvement I think that the Kit Adam could be a really awe...
Devastating TKL - Is this a good TKL for you money?
มุมมอง 1.7Kปีที่แล้ว
Taking a look at not just our first solder PCB board, but also the first TKL we have done on the channel. TKLs can be a great option for people that want something close to that 75% layout but also want to have the extra function keys. TKL was my favorite layout for a long time, but is this TKL worth your hard earned money? Keyboard (Please note this is the aluminum version, they may have stopp...
Chosfox Hanami Dango - Tactile Switch with RGB Flair
มุมมอง 535ปีที่แล้ว
The Hanami Dango switch was an interesting one to me for a few reasons, for one its by Chosfox who I think knocked it out of the park with their Voyager switches, but also this switch has a light diffuser which makes it really cool for RGB Boards. If you are looking for a tactile switch made to spread the RGB love all over your keyboard, this could be the perfect switch for you! Switches: kinet...
First Time Soldering Keyboard
มุมมอง 126ปีที่แล้ว
This is the first time I soldered a PCB and I really enjoyed the experience. Hotswap is great to use and the ease of it is unbeatable, but soldering is a good skill to have and really helps you take pride if your keyboard. Chosfox Voyager Tactile Switches - The New Tactile Champion?
มุมมอง 1.9Kปีที่แล้ว
Today we are looking at the Voyager Tactile switches by Chosfox. This switch has a two stage spring with a very pronounced tactile bump, perfect for those who really love the feel of tactile switches. These have the makeup of what I consider to be the best for tactile switches but are they better than everything we have tested out so far? Get your hands on the Voyager Tactiles from Kinetic Labs...
Redragon K629 - An Actual Budget Keyboard? (With some Mods)
มุมมอง 5Kปีที่แล้ว
Unfortunately in the keyboard world it is not uncommon to hear about all these great budget boards and they all are still $200 for a barebones kit. Redragon has come up a lot as a decent incredibly affordable and easy to get keyboard. Out of the box it may not be the best but adding some additional items to this board can make it a pretty decent starter keyboard for an incredibly reasonable pri...
Mechanical Keyboard Switch Lubing - An Important Skill to Know
มุมมอง 243ปีที่แล้ว
Let's take a look at how I go about lubing switches, from the tools that are needed to the process and how you can assembly line a whole pack of switches to get them done. Not all switches come factory lubed, although it can be great when they are offered lubed out of the box, sometimes it can be inconsistent. Many people will choose to lube their switches themselves to have full control over h...

Today we are building the Bakeneko65 by cannon keys. This is a 65% keyboard and with the Durock T1s in it something just makes it the right feel and volume to be an amazing work computer for me. This gasket mounted keyboard is super simple to build and a great entry point to Mechanical Keyboards. Definitely one to check out if you like the 65% layout. I LOVE This Keyboard - KBD67 Lite R4
มุมมอง 3Kปีที่แล้ว
The KBD67 Lite R4 is a keyboard that you hear about a lot but is it worth the hype and is it still one of the best? Today I unbox and build the keyboard and let me tell you, it is fantastic. This is a keyboard that really stands out as an entry level ABS keyboard and should be considered if you like this layout. Monsgeek M1 - First Keyboard Build and Thoughts
I have the Gateron Jupiter Bananas, apparently they are very much like the Baby Kangaroos, have you tried them ?
I'm not sure about in the States, but in Australia at the moment the barebones M1 is like $94.00 and the Q1 is $170.00, almost twice the price. It doesn't seem like the Q1 is worth anywhere near that much of a premium over the M1 in the video, but I really don't know as I haven't tried either of them.
Q1 is just a money grab, literally the same exact keyboard may be bought for ~100$ (Lemokey P1)
@@KonovDS I ended up getting the Q1 Max, I like well enough but it was expensive. Particularly considering you end up changing the switches out first thing.
it`s actually only for metal case?
I hate those keycaps
For me, m1 is an endgame keyboard. I have ducky one 3 prebuilt too, and they're both great. Why would anyone need anything else?
Too heavy and not quite tactile enough for me
They sound pretty cool tho
better than Neapolitans?
early 2000's tutorial music, i expect a crt filter next time
I'm looking for tactile switches with the closest feel to the Alps Amber or Alps Orange? What do you recommend?
sorry, I'm team linear🤣
Spacebar fixed 👌
The oring mount actually makes it easier to swap out the assembly lol
Just go all out for super cliky Kailh Box Jade. 😁😁😁
Not A budget Keyboard. you need switch and keycap =$$.
This was my favourite kit that I had my eyes on for a really long time and just when I was about to buy it I find out that it is discontinued 😔. No websites have it other than eBay where it’s being sold for 280-320. Which is just not worth it. I would kill for this to be back in stock 😅
I can use bluetooth or 2.4ghz in Linux? M1, q1 both?
The dealbreaker for me with the M1 is that the switch for mac or windows, is under the Capslock. Whereas Keychrons at the back
These, their full packed/latest versions are great, once modded, but as was out of my budget I went with Keychron V1 Max, as an upgrade to my K2 V2, which I modded and sounds much better than these out of box. Definitely will be modding V1 Max as well.
Great tutorial and sound test.
I've seen many videos talking about "what to get as a beginner", but what should you get as a pro? Are there differences, and if so, what? Thanks for the clip!
can i use eva foam for force break mod?
Thanks man! Super useful review and comparison! 💯
How does this compare to mmd princess tactile? In terms of tactility, sound, feel? I prefer higher pitched ones. And i do like the feel of mmd princess tactile but it's more on deep sounding
Damn, they do sound good. My sweeet spot is around 50g though, these might be a tad too heavy unless I swap out the springs.

baby kangaroo vs cream blue pro vs lavender purple pro?
Always baby kangaroos for me
got this board a while ago, but replaced it last year for a better keyboard after getting more into the hobby (felt i needed a new one anyway). gonna give the redragon to a friend whos totally new to mechanical keyboards & i may give him some supplies to make it sound better & show him how to mod it. at the very least i want to give him better switches. when i got this board i was just not a fan at all, but at least theyre better than browns imo. its definitely good for the price all things considered, & i think itll be a good keyboard for my friend to get into the hobby
Keychron q1 pro - that sounds like a beginner keyboard to you??? 😂😂😂
baby kangaroos or voyagers?
That's a tough one because I love them both. They are very similar, I think the kangaroos have touch crisper feel to the tactile bump where the voyagers feel a touch smoother. You won't make a bad choice with either. I use the voyagers in my main keyboard and have been using them for months and before that it was the baby kangaroos. The Voyagers I think sound a little better, but I also have them in the zoom75 which sounds incredible
@@TactileTalklove the quick reply! Have you checked out the poison gas switch from them?
@@clackology No, havent had a chance to check those out yet
I picked up the Bakeneko65 on their mystery sale this week, $69, and it's a lot of fun. I got grey with the zinc weight. I put in a few switches around the edge then put the O ring on it and then the rest of the switches were easy. I did add some poron to the bottom of the case due to the zinc weight as I had some lying around. I put Oil Kings in it and it's actually quite deep sounding which was unexpected with no plate foam but I like it quite a bit. I didn't use the O ring on my Neo65 so this was the first time I built this type keyboard and it was a lot of fun, especially for the sale price! Great and very through review! You videos are great, high hopes you start to get the subs you deserve!
doesn't really sound pingy before
I own this kit and I find it useful. I agree that it is missing tweezers and and a stem holder. The keycap opener requires a fair amount of time and effort, so it does not scale well with keyboard switch lube project, but a word on this in a moment. The switch capacity of the workstation aligns with the typical (at least at this time) count of a Glorious switch pack of 36 switches. I found that having this workstation, or a reasonable facsimile, was necessary to preserve my sanity. It was worth the money. Now back to the keycap puller. I sprung for the Gateron keycap opener and it is a joy to use when in assembly line mode; however, I found that if I had the misfortune to close a switch with the stem facing the wrong way (i.e., the stem will not depress) having the Glorious opener was a lifesaver. The Gateron opener applied too much force and in once case I bent the leaf making it unusable. Here the Glorious opener was useful in being able to open the switch without damaging the internals Clearly an error on my part, so it was nice to have a safer though more time consuming alternative to repair a problem of my own creation.
Man, I just ordered these and they're going to be here next week. This video is extra assurance. Thank you.
I have a keyboard with outemu reds, this is my first mechanical keyboard, and I kinda like them, but I found them on the light side; also, I make many typos by pressing keys without realizing it. I would like to try a tactile switch that feels heavier, not prone to typos, and fantastic for RGB. What would you recommend? Which switches should I try first? I've been thinking about Durock T1 clear or Akko cream blue v3 because they are cheaper...
Akko makes great switches for a good price. I still really like the gateron baby kangaroos and it seems like a lot of people agree those are a great switch. Personally the T1 isn’t super high on my list for a heavy tactile switch, there’s nothing wrong with them and you can get a strong spring if you want some you need to push hard but I’m not in love with their squishier feel
Hi. Very good reviews you, thanks a lot for your effort. Does these Akko cream blues distorts too much the RGB colors?
I haven’t had any issues with any of the clear top akkos messing with the RGB
Nice video but im late
Hi, can you recommend tactile switch which has more marble sound?
Marble sound is kind of a hard one for me to match I wild imagine you mean a bit deeper than these. The glorious pandas might fit that but it’s hard to say since there’s so much personal taste involved and a ton of switches out there
@@TactileTalk Hmm, maybe I can paste some typing videos that matches my taste? th-cam.com/video/LYw_2hPHcsw/w-d-xo.html I like the sound in this video. But unfortunately, This switch is unavailable anymore.
Try the gateron quinns. They have that crispy tactile bump similar to the baby kangaroos, but is made entirely of nylon which gives you that deep marbly sound you might be looking for.
no dif
From my experince with the Q1 version 2 I found that more foam in the base makes the keyboard much louder. That, in addition to the PCB tape mod made my Q1 too loud for me. I ended up removing two layers of the PCB tape (keeping just one layer) and kept the stock foam.
Just got the Baby Kangaroo V2 to my Keychron Q1 PRO and Q2 PRO, better pins on the new ones too. They came lubed, but way too sparse for my tase, they also had a sharp ping from the spring. But after some more lube they feel and sound very nice. I have used several tactile switches before, but with these you can really feel the satisfying bump.
Awesome! Glad to hear you are enjoying them
isn't this board alu not plastic?
They make it in both
are they going to fit on my gk61?
From what I can see they should. As long as it is hot swap and can’t handle the 5 pin switches you are good. Since I don’t have a gk61 I would just confirm that first
Having all of them .. the M1 is a very cheap version of the AKKO MOD 007 and the $40 or $50 cost difference isn't worth the savings. The big advantage to Keychron is it uses the standardized now web based VIA and not some potential Chinese spyware software.
Does MOD 007 has RGB? From what i see there are 3 versions of it and it looks like V2 has RGB. But it's very difficult to find correct information. Backlight is very handy for me.
@@allidsarebusy .. The MOD 007 series has RGB, the earlier models which I prefer had north facing RGB and the newer ones are south. The exception is the MOD 007 V3 VIA series with its flex cut PCB which does NOT offer RGB.
@@DJaquithFL Hi yeah thanks. At first i didn't noticed that there are 3 versions of it. However, everything is sold out! Like all over the world except for Philippines and they don't ship world wide. I just got used to backlight so much, otherwise i would just buy SPR 67 DIY Kit as i like it. They still have MonsGeek M7W DIY Kit but i like AKKO models better. Not sure if there is much difference quality wise or is ti just a mtter of taste.
@@allidsarebusy .. The case on the AKKO is much more refined in its fit and finish. None of the edges on the AKKO are harsh and sharp, whereas they are on the cheaper MonsGeek. Personally doesn't make a difference to me what anybody buys and I understand availability issues. If you don't need a keyboard immediately then go over to AKKO, search for .. MOD .. then find a model and color you like and get placed on a waiting list. For the most part, maybe a couple months. No matter where you're at, AKKO is shipping directly from China so I don't think they care as long as there's not some embargo.
If you’re coming from K2, how much of an improved experience do you think the Q1 pro is?
I think it’s a pretty big step up but depends what matters to you. You get a much higher quality fee from the weight, I like the layout of the Q1 more as well and the sound is great too. I have an older k2 that had flakey wireless but the Q1 has been reliable but again it’s all up to what matters to you the k2 is still a solid choice
Does the keyboard work on ps5?
Not sure honestly
A few suggestions: - I'd probably do a force break. Since it's a two piece keyboard, the vibrations from the top case transfer in the lower case, creating ping and hollowness. While the included Polyfill helps, find force break to be more effective. - I'd also remove the mounting screw nearest of the spacebar. Generally, giving more movement to the spacebar will allow it sound more free and fuller. - I found FR4 top mount to be on the stiffer side. More flexible plates such as PC, POM, and PP can yield potentially really nice sound and feel on top mount. I think for a top mount board that was released a few years ago, I think you can get it for $125 like you did at the time, pretty worth. However, it's currently $200, which is only $100 off the original price of $300. Considering there are other top mount TKLs rn that are around the same price but offer just a bit more, it's a hard sell atm.
Thanks for these suggestions!
I use them in my gmmk pro for 2 year now... pretty happy with them. Good for gaming and productive work
what keycap set is that :o
That should be the nicePBT galaxy set by canonkeys
@@TactileTalkof course out of stock 😭 such a nice set
You can buy each parts off brand and get it for cheaper, also Krytox 205g0 sounds better for me
Feels light? Are we using different boards mate? The Q1 Pro is a heavy mofo. You want to feel a cheap, lightweight keyboard try the V4 BW 75%. I also have zero ping in my keyboard, and it's currently stock, so I am not sure why yours has it. Maybe a QA thing?
Very possible things can always go wrong in QA
