Buy a used Tekno Short course truck they are completely indestructible and cheap if you buy used. You can get a used one with electronics for less than a new slash 4x4

Mine broke one time. Someone accidentally stepped on my car with their foot and the steering motor broke. Got a new motor now and it hasn't broke since.

I've had 2 traxxas 4x4 and 1 ultimate edition. You wear out drive trains pretty fast on lipo. Bearing seize or fail every 3-4 hours run. They go through atleast 2 motor bearing kits every 6 months. Loved every minute of mine. infact i,m gonna buy another one.
