We had a ton of fun during the short time I was able to visit and Black Beard Projects is a really nice guy for hosting me. Hopefully we will meet again! He finished the axe in Part 2 here: th-cam.com/video/rT5S9qUC-lc/w-d-xo.html
Thought the same. When I was young I had to buy one of those saws, too. Worst decision I ever made. I could have worked more precise if I knibbled the wood off with my teeth...!
Dear Hand Tool Rescue, I really like your content and the small funny details like the Nutella joke👍. Maybe you could "upgrade" your Videos with other TH-camrs/ helpers with an Interview like Diresta did in his Video. Also I think thats its good that you use the original audio from the restauration and don't put some Music under it. I hope you will make much more Videos in the future😁 and could think about my Ideas. ~JK
The master mechanic that I trained under way too many years ago, always said that a good mechanic could fix anything with an adjustable wrench, a pointy stick and a rock. I think you just proved him right. Great vid.
I found my great grandfather's axe he used to bust firewood every year and its an old Sears craftsman 3 1/2 pound Michigan style single bit axe. The handle is holding on by a thread and the rust on the metal is horrible. Thank goodness that it ain't pitted too bad. Love the video and can't wait to see more.
I just bought one of your wrenches. Saw AvE do a build quality test on one and decided THAT was the tipping point where I spend my hard earned dollars on a tool. Ordered it with a brass nut & right handed. Shipping after December, 2018. Thanks for making it. There really are not that many great tools in the world and I wasn't going to let this one go by me.
safety! Safety-axe! Ah we can axe if we want to, we can leave the stumps behind Cause the stumps don't plane and if they don't plane Well they're no stumps of mine I say, we can go where we want to, a place Harbor Freight will never find And we can act like we come to fix up some tools Leave the new ones far behind, And we can axe
I saw some unsafe things things that could of gone wrong if you didnt take the most care and attention while doing it. But as long as your focused on the stuff he was doing there shouldn't be too much risk, however i would say there are a lot safer ways of doing the things
Love your projects. Quite amazing you are doing some work with some other guys. Can't wait to see your new shop! Your patience restoring a tool supersedes any human patience!!!
Always thought "you're that four armed back beard guy... confirmed".. cool collaboration. Actually visited his site first and thought, he'd messed up his video. Then watched yours and thought "another Angel Axe. ?" Must be common.. " penny dropped and giggled
Great video and super restoration as always. For a moment I got confused with the grinder and the jigsaw, but then I read in description you were in Italy ...
Ooo boy! Talk about "hand" drilling, I've done that before and it's not easy to do that with a wrench. Due to limited tools I understand the necessity.
A little advice since you are a new channel, people really appreciate when you don't use power tools on things like axes. Soak it in vinegar and use steel wool to remove rust. Electrolysis is a good way as well, its power yes, but very "non invasive".
Make yourself some birchbark tar. There are lots of vids on how to do it. Mixed with linseed oil it makes the best wood finish with the manliest smell known. Also great for conditioning raw leather.
Hello from Russia! When the Soviet Union produced excellent haste, from a good alloy, an ax rang at work, it did not imprison it! I still have a grandfather's ax on the farm!
Tip: Foldable workbench with clamps costs 20 euros and enables you to clamp in the jigsaw upside down for an impromptu table saw. Makes for easier cutting.

Lucky you had a Lidl nearby...
Thought the same. When I was young I had to buy one of those saws, too. Worst decision I ever made. I could have worked more precise if I knibbled the wood off with my teeth...!
you should update the name of the video to "Safety Third - A collaboration"

20 points for grinding with an unsecured vise and using tools upside down! frigging awesome!
hammer1212 not to mention, while wearing shorts
We were going to light it on fire, that what might have been too much.
The master mechanic that I trained under way too many years ago, always said that a good mechanic could fix anything with an adjustable wrench, a pointy stick and a rock.

Great vid.
Hermosa Axe. .son ideales para restaurar. Felicidades
I really appreciate how you give old tools a new life. Well done sir.

Sounds like a good project, Jared. Bushradical has some good axe videos if you want inspiration.
2 bearded guys, an axe and no safety! looks like a Blockbuster!
We traded beard recipes.
Alternative title could/should have been: Two Burly Men polish their ax while firmly holding each other's wood.
YES! Two of my favorite things: Hand Tool Rescue and an axe restoration!

good job boys , i can't wait to see part 2🤔😀
as your buddy would say - "engage your safety squints!"
Thats funny because we have all done it and I find my self squenting all the time when he uses the grinder!
You should use gloves while working...
Sûre
That's the least of the safety concerns in this video!
Looks like the Return of the Dangerous Brothers hahaha :p
I didnt see anything unsafe in the video.

You are a genius with the tools, but the most importantly is your sense of humor!!! Regards.
This was awesome because you showed that even with basic tools , you can get things done.. very nice!
Thank you!
I like that you kept the guard on the grinder... for safety. Also, cool bandsaw.
Hand Tool Rescue: "Safety is Our Third Priority"
ZSandmann LOL
I see what you did there!
Safety.. that only for football.
9 accidents and it'll be their first!
I love the max safety section. I think all future videos should include an element of risk.
Love your projects. Quite amazing you are doing some work with some other guys. Can't wait to see your new shop! Your patience restoring a tool supersedes any human patience!!!
Anyone else see this and think about it as a hobby?
Whatever happened to making things? Fun stuff!
5:02 onwards: *italian sounds for “hold my beer”*
J
Surprised you did this without a proper workbench, sheesh! Great video. Thanks!
Love the wrench. In your hands the original multi tool.
he makes them and i think he sells them
Glane Cool
th-cam.com/video/068bjdXqlx8/w-d-xo.html there's a link in the vids description for sales of the wrench. :)

Something magical about watching my favorite you tubers collaborate
Power tools, axe heads, boat shoes. What could go wrong. Sick Axe, man.
Very nice sir! Its nice to have a change of scenery now and again. I hope the new shop isn’t too much of an inconvenience.
4:23 had me dying lol. Its nice to see a channel like this with a touch of comedy.
Great collaboration
First Dimmy Diresta, and now BBP??! you're a GOD!
Hahaha, I've been lucky!
I subscribed to your channel before his but still haven't looked to see who made this format popular first. His views are out of this world!!
Well that sure beat my holiday entertainment!
The lord was thinking of you specifically when he figured he'd better give us 10 fingers :-)
Enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Looks like you could do with a draw knife old boy, marvelous bits of kit and I've no doubt you'd make plenty of use out of it!
That axe head cleaned up heckin' fast!
Great collaboration!
Parkside powertool? In my Hand Tool Rescue channel?!
Lidl forever.
Always thought "you're that four armed back beard guy... confirmed".. cool collaboration. Actually visited his site first and thought, he'd messed up his video. Then watched yours and thought "another Angel Axe. ?" Must be common.. " penny dropped and giggled

Takes me back to 8 grade wood shop.😊
Ooo boy! Talk about "hand" drilling, I've done that before and it's not easy to do that with a wrench. Due to limited tools I understand the necessity.

Parkside for the win!
Rofl sanding with the htr wrench!! I already watch both you guys so nice to see a collab
Safest table saw I've ever seen!! :)
Awesome work! 👍👊
Was already subscribed to both channels, surreal video.
loving the safety shorts
Love it, safety third.
Woohoo. Slow night at work isnt slow anymore. Thanks m8
No problem.
Would love to have that axe head. It’s the perfect shape.
Primitive, primitive, but I see where you are headed. I once built a pair of saw horses with a can opener.
Good job 👍👍👍👍

A great tomahawk build.
Ahh needed this fix BAD thank you at HTR!!!

YES CROSSOVER EPISODE!!!
Basically the Avengers.
This makes the flame thrower look like a safety video. 😄
Thanks again for the videos. Very nice collaboration (already subscribed to both channels).
Now you're making drills?!? Amazing! I must have one.
That edge looked so soft!
Nice work!
I suppose everyone should start taking an adjustable with them on holiday 😅
Epic crossover
Although this is obviously a "do what you can, with what you have, where you are" project, I think Wranglerstar would have a cow if he saw this!
Benvenuto!!!
Bienvenido!!!
AvE brought me here...happy to be.
Excelente👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
"Very limited tools and time" This is a life metaphor
Worked out well considering the available tools
Thanks!
You did an amazing job with what you had to work wirh
Thank you!
Whoa DIY video for Dads without safety warnings! :D Kinda like it, but i hope you still have all your fingers!
Enjoyed!!
And thumbs up also
Hello from Russia! When the Soviet Union produced excellent haste, from a good alloy, an ax rang at work, it did not imprison it! I still have a grandfather's ax on the farm!
Great fun.
Now thats some golden backyard DIY with minimal tools shit there. hahaha
In italy.. Great! 🇮🇹😍
Good collab! I appreciate the humor! XD
Thanks!
Welcome!
I love your parkside jigsaw ... I have the same :)
This video was great, I learned how to restore an axe and get reamed by OSHA simultaneously. :D
it reminds me when I was a child and was playing with my grand'pa's tools
Nice job
Safety first!!! the fingers do not grow two times. *MOUNTAIN EAGLE*
Tip: Foldable workbench with clamps costs 20 euros and enables you to clamp in the jigsaw upside down for an impromptu table saw. Makes for easier cutting.
..lookin' good..
To heck with the axe: restore that grinder!
Just heard about your channel from AvE's latest video. Looking forward to checking it out.
Welcome!
I can imagine the tail poke into body part when swinging the axe.
Safety third!
You are the man very nice job to take care later :)
Lol.. Love it.. 👍👍👍👍👍
Cool restoration! Nice works!. I have subscribed & followed your channel. Cheers.
I love the safety... Haha!
4:28 what is the other guy trying to do ???
Loved the drill! LoL
Wow. This is the first time I see a Parkside (cheapest available supermarket brand) power tool on a video.
