Ok so an update for everyone. This video was because ASUS support asked me to send a video on the issue. We tried troubleshooting the basic "UPDATE EVERYTHING" that did not work. I ended up having to just send it in to get the joystick replaced.
I went to bestbuy, where I bought the device. They sent it back for repairs. Took about a week and a half to get it back. It costed me nothing because it was still under the manufacturer's warranty.
Everything works fine now and all they did was replace the joystick. I didn't have to remove my passcode or anything. (Also, wow I was breathing loudly.😂)
@tacticalhawk4531 same happened to me. I wasn't even using it, I've been using an Xbox elite controller, and they messed up the joystick on a firmware update 😂 now I need to send it for replacement as well, mine is one of the day one unit.
For me, 2 days ago, the left joystick started flashing while I was playing with the joysticks off. I'd like to point out that everything on my Ally is up to date and that I use it very little. Has this ever happened to you?
Same here with the right joystick. Cant move right or left. When i switcj to desketop mode the cursor mvoves to left alone . Wothout responding to left or right . Any one qith a solution? My rog ally has little mark on one corner because it fall along time ago, do you think asus qill reject the warranty because of that? If i open it, do i lloose the wattsnty?
First, I got my sd card reader fried, and I thought - so let it be. Then after ~ 2 weeks (total 120 hours playing Cyberpunk) both triggers and right joystick stop working. Software manipulation (driver updates, system reinstall) doesn't work😐 Seems like I'm going to send it back
Same, worked fine for an hour when I took it out of the box. Then an update on Armory Crate killed it. Let me know if you find a fix, i've been looking but none the wiser
If you bought it from bestbuy, I would try to return/exchange it. My issue occurred after the 2 week return policy, so I don't have the option anymore. Asus support asked for a yt video on the issue for the warranty claim. I don't want to swap out the joystick since that will probably void any warranty I may still have. Also, I heard swapping out the stick might not even help.
@@djcruizejr25 No, Asus support didn't help, had to send it in for repair. It is very likely a faulty joystick, so no amount of updates will fix anything.

Called ASUS and was going to send it in to be repaired but I can’t even figure out how to disable the password because ASUS said they’ll need to be able to unlock the device. I don’t understand any of the rules they are telling me to do before sending it in so I just give up. I’ll be using a Xbox controller every time I feel like gaming.

@@Nano.virus.2.0 Nope but there’s a video on sending it to Asus and apparently they were a hassle and charging people for other things to fix instead of the main problem. Video is from gamers nexus called “Asus scammed us”

If I reset the Ally it might solve the issue?
sigh... i guess i need to return mine. I never used it too. I tend to dock my Ally.
