  • Come with me on this video as I explore the ruins of the "Old 96" Ranch house that was part of an active ranch until the 1960s. It is one of the only structures left as the desert reclaims territory with a vengeance.

Interesting to see what once was and active ranch and now a Ghost ranch.
Once the roof is compromised the rest of the building follows in time. Even concrete will suffer from freeze cycles and degrade by surface spalling and pressure cracking due to ice.
Building with no doors is likely a water tank with a roof for domestic/household water. Pipe to the top was the fill pipe. Pipe at the bottom was the service pipe.
As a retired architect/builder/carpenter, I always think of the hard earned efforts and expense to establish a viable place.
Thanks for the visit to what once was a life lived. A place of memories for many... 👍👍

It was a beautiful ranch at one time. I remember it when I was a kid. I'm from the Florence area and there is a lot of history and abandoned ruin. I love the underground celler that is there.

A very interesting place. I lived in Prescott years ago and wandered all around the northern Az area. Spent time near Casa Grande too.
Thanks for finding interesting places to visit.
