I think the JYP learned from this and that's why they created the "studio within a studio" concept where each group has a dedicated team (songwriters, stylists, etc) to make sure that each group has a good number of comebacks and doesn't just sit on the shelf. (If you don't know, Twice was their experiment with this and their success convinced them to do it with all groups that debut after Twice). Edit to add that, before that, JYP used to write every single song himself and he couldn't keep up anymore. He realized it was unsustainable.

Slightly troubling given the Bad Girl, Good Girl concept perhaps). Bad Girl, Good Girl was an immediate success. Although not prolific, they enjoyed great success with most of their releases. Nonetheless, it appears trouble was brewing beneath the surface. Suzy became a household name in Korea and there was a term "Suzy and the girls" for the group at one point. (JYP has alluded to this problem which is why he is much more careful with Twice). Unfortunately the Korea-China political issue in 2015 pretty much ended the group, at least indirectly. I'm sure you're well aware of this now, but K-Pop used to be way less conservative and full of way more interesting mature concepts and themes. I LOVE modern Kpop but I feel like 2nd gen is by far the most interesting and diverse period in kpop. I'm hoping JYPn debuts with some sort of mature concept, since all their pre-release content seems to be leaning that way.

When I Don’t Need A Man was released, I started paying more attention to Fei (the one with curly hair) and I still do. They were the only kpop group that I watched for years until I decided to give other groups a chance last year, starting with Blackpink, then Red Velvet and NCT, and TXT too. My intention is to gradually know more groups but right now I’m obsessed with NCT and RV.

I love 2nd gen groups!!! they were all diverse and changed up concepts like it was nothing! IMO kpop kind of went backwards in regards to maturity. Yes, they always did at least one cute concept but at the same time matured with their age demographic. And I feel like in 3rd and 4th gen they do not do that as much or not at all. Now they tend to stay in the cutesy concept longer and are afraid to "grow up" in a sense. you hardly ever see groups (especially girl groups) do sexy/mature concepts whether it be ballads or pop comebacks, they like to stick to one thing that "works" rather than change it up like they did back in the day.

So, the girl with the pink hair, you picked out perfectly in I Don't Need A Man. She's Jia. I remember there being awful rumours spread about her when Miss A first debuted about her being a trans male. I can't imagine trying to start your career in the entertainment industry and having to face rumours like that.
The girl whose voice you liked is Min. The girl with the curly hair is Fei and the final member is the maknae Suzy. She was such a baby when they debuted, like, about 15 years old and it was such a mature concept and lyrics. She was by far the most popular member of the group and got a fair few acting jobs. It always felt like JYP just didn't know how to support them as individuals while supporting and promoting Miss A as a group.

I love 2nd gen groups!!! they were all diverse and changed up concepts like it was nothing! IMO kpop kind of went backwards in regards to maturity. Yes, they always did at least one cute concept but at the same time matured with their age demographic. And I feel like in 3rd and 4th gen they do not do that as much or not at all. Now they tend to stay in the cutesy concept longer and are afraid to "grow up" in a sense. you hardly ever see groups (especially girl groups) do sexy/mature concepts whether it be ballads or pop comebacks, they like to stick to one thing that "works" rather than change it up like they did back in the day.
Omg! Miss A!! BAE SUZY!! ❤❤. I did not expect you to react to them. I used to love their songs. Their concept at that time is refreshing and different from other groups which makes them unique. They are well loved in korea. Definitely one of the top girl group. And suzy is just another level legend. Public calls her 'nation first love'. I think to date she still holds record for the most sought after idol in term of cf/acting/screen appearance.
Sadly two of the main vocalists are from china. I think you know what happens between china and korea. Only suzy is still active now 😕

Yes, the Pink hair girl, Jia. She’s Chinese along with Fei, the curly haired one. Suzy and Min, the one you like and shortest, are Korean. Suzy was 15 when she debuted in Good Girl, Bad Girl. Min is the funny one of the group. Suzy is the most famous one and currently has a successful acting career and less of a musical career.

This is random but hear me out. The ark is a group debuted in 2016 and disbanded a year after. They have a song call the light and they did dance covers of other groups and stuff. It would be great if you can check them out one day cause they reallyy had the potential to grow but unfortunately their company sucks

I'll be honest, I didn't think the group was going to last. Despite big success, they weren't all close and seemed to treat the group as work only. Of course no bad blood. All the groups I've seen that tend to view their members as coworkers and don't hide it typically disband

"Bad Girl, Good Girl" was so iconic, and it was only their debut too! miss A actually has two Chinese members (Jia, pink hair, and Fei, curly hair) and two Korean members (Min, short hair/your favourite, and Suzy, tallest/pretty one), hence JYP's "Made in Asia" introduction ;0

Fun fact is that they hated that songs so much. They didn't like the song where like against men or something like that. They didn't like this three songs and that concept. They prefer a bit more fun stuff, they didn't want to men hate on them.
