- 10 Exercises For An Unstoppable Left Hand: jazzpianoconcepts.com/store
In today's video, we go over some fun ways to make improving your left hand a fun and interesting process. I've used these exercises and techniques for years to catch my left hand technique, speed, strength and facility up with my right hand as much as possible without getting too bored in the process.
In this video, we take a look at how the entire Neo Jazz Piano Method works from start to finish. You can make some incredible progress applying this method to your learning. This is all in all a 12-week process that you can use to overcome obstacles to your jazz improvisation and harmony, implementing Neo Soul-inspired techniques, harmony and improvisation to achieve a modern jazz sound.

5:19 Brad Mehldau uses that exact concept but I usually hear him do it with triadic shapes
Great stuff
Great work Noah; much thanks! :)
Bless you sir 🙏🏽
Excellent tips as usual. Right into the target :) Thank you
You have no idea how much you advanced this saxophonist piano playing chops by saying "finger is a personal thing, so I'mona to find the best fingering that works for my hand". Dude, Noah, you're such a great teacher!
So glad to hear that, Otrie! Thanks for the kind words.
I haven’t watched it all yet, but I really needed this. Thanks
Hey, you're welcome Ruby. Hope it helps!
Thanks
5:12 this lick also works really well over a Dominant 7 chord (in the case of Cm6 it would also work on F7)
Once again, another great video Noah!! Thank you 🙏
You're welcome, Zane!
Great ideas, thanks!
Sure thing, Theo!
Gorgeous
Thanks!!
It would be cool if you took some of these concepts and styles in your videos and applied them to different tunes (standards, pop songs, etc) and then go through an analysis of how you achieved those sounds. Show both you would practice the concepts and then how you would apply them in real-time on a tune.
Hey Vinny, I like that idea. Will definitely keep it in mind for the future.
Thanks!
