BIG help! Thanks! I wrote down all the progressions. I'm a beginner, but this is an easy to understand/learn way to. get a big improvement fast. Much appreciated. 👏
Great explanation of that classic walk-up-so helpful to have the harmonic understanding also-now I get it! And that ii-V7 option is cool too. Thanks! (and of course, Bird Lives!)
worth noting that sometimes the diminished chord can be a regular m6 if it clashes with the melody. (Also, instead of ii chords it's often the V chord in 2nd inversion) Bars 7-8 of weaver of dreams: G7 Dm7/A A#m6 G7/B Because there's an F in the melody, the b5 of the #iio chord wouldn't work, so instead it's a m6!
Thank you for this, Casey! It’s actually a very intimidating topic to cover as walk ups can have so many different variations. Thank you for this addition!
WOW at 13:36 and 15:22 I will shed on these sections! Amazing! BIRD LIVES!

Jeremy - I love your style - I’m a Canadian whose son lives in SAN Diego - When I visit him how do I contact you for an interview person lesson?
Hi Bill! Thanks for the nice note. See the link in the video description that says: Schedule a lesson with Jeremy...click on the link for info.

Great Lesson!
Well thank you for the comment! Glad you liked it!
Hey what’s the program you used to write the music on the iPad ?
It's Forscore - I upload my own blank manuscript paper.
This is great!
I’m grateful, Robert! Thanks for checking out my videos!
In the diatonic walkup example are the notes A,B,C and D the roots of the chords? If so, what are chords you are using in When I Fall In Love?
A very Hank Jones thing too.
Yeah, totally. Hank really comes out of that stride tradition.
