I’ve watched this video so many times throughout my few years of studying jazz piano, and every time I get more and more out of it. Thank you so much, can wait to see what I get from this in 6 months!
Fabulous as always - both the teaching and the performing!!! What a superb personality to have for a teacher who is a natural for teaching!!! Thank you!!!
Great lesson - I've had your Solo Jazz Piano book for a while and have struggled a bit with the Red Garland comping and didn't realise you had these lessons - fantastic resource to back up one of the best piano books I've bought
I have always been a big fan of the track by Lee Morgan called "The Sidewinder". I have never known where the title came from. Or, maybe the title came before the rhythm. Anyway I found out at 21.30mins.
I've only recently discovered you channel Jeremy. Your videos are amazing & really helpful. I hope you don't mind me saying this but it would be helpful if your voice was louder as i have to keep turning my speakers down when you play the piano. On the bright side, my neighbours now think i'm a brilliant pianist.
Brilliant explanations, that I can understand after taking your well-organized Jazz Course this semester. Thank you so much! To all, I totally recommend this course. It's fun and and so informative. Best thing I did for myself this unusual year.
There’s now a second edition with videos of every example and I’ve made it easy to access the new content for those who already have the book: jeremysiskind.com/product/psjp2ndedition/
haha, good reaction! btw. i purchased 3 of your latest books, although not yet enough time to deal with thoroughly! i will experience the students feelings, lol

I named the rhythm after the piece, so I'm not sure that anything was explained. Sorry!

At around 2:55 you mention a book called jazz band pianist, i Cant Seem to find it through your link.
Do you have a link for it?
That one is published by Hal Leonard so I can’t sell it. You can get it from Amazon or your local music store
