Hi Matt and Nicole. We hooked onto your channel 3 wks ago. Religiously watch every evening. We are oldies.. but you have given us inspiration. Last year we climbed into our little Reno Clio and toured as for a month..yes we booked in everywhere..but what a journey . Jan is next one, we climbing into "Gertie" Clio, again and saying where we going? No idea. Just driving. We have a Mahindra scorpion but with diesel prices..naah. Hubby did 4 x 4 , extreme driving training with Eskom many years back. I'm 56 , he's 60..and we still travelling. Thank you for an amazing programme giving us ideas. ! 🤗
Go for it, that Scorpio is prompting you, adventure is beckoning. I turn 61 tomorrow, disabled but not in a wheelie, but travel we do. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Do it now.
Absolutely loved this one Matt! Being a Dutchie living for a couple of years in South Africa now, I enjoy learning more about all historical events that took place here. Your research about the found bullet so much adds up to this. I'm on a roundtrip in a bakkie camper right now, you and Nicole are a true inspiration to suck everything up even more than I'm doing already. Looking forward to your next episode!
I keep posting this on every video in this and the previous series, but this has been simply awesome, especially for those of us so far from there that will never get to take the same drive. Thank you so much for taking us with you and sharing your adventures with us. I hope there's more to come because I am REALLY enjoying this.
Nicely done. I love South Africa, and watching this series has me longing to go back. So happy to see you take the time to stop and soak up the beauty of this place. Interesting that you mention, listening to river, watching the wildlife, feeling the refreshing waters… using all of your senses to appreciate the moment. It’s not so easy to focus on the moment these days with all the technology bombarding us with a constant stream of information. Good on you for doing this and thanks for taking us along. Looking forward to the next installment.
Once again, a breathtaking video. U guys are naturals- thanks for sharing parts of our country that us non-offroaders would never witness and experience. Thanks, much appreciated.
One should just do it. I postponed my life until I became too limited in mobility to sleep in a RTT; a dozen strokes left some damage. With campers assaulted and robbed just across the river, at our age we don't take risks. For the two of us, we don't even know if the huts at Gannakouriep or Tietiesberg (the real name) will be safe. Life had changed while I was buried in financial statements and other people tax concerns. Too late to realize I had just one life to live.
