Yesterday, I received my first pair of White's Boots. I ordered a pair of Millwood, Hybrid Wedge, Brown Distress Leather, with a Black outsole. They arrived exactly as I ordered them and they were stunningly beautiful! Even better, they felt tremendous on my feet right-out-of-the box! So what if they take 1,2, or 3 months to arrive, that ONLY means that they are being made with exact instruction & care as the buyer ordered. Be patient, because when you get your White's Boots in the mail, You are going to be tremendously pleased and crazy proud that you now own perhaps the greatest American Made Boot! Stop thinking about it, Go Out and Buy Yourself a pair of White's Boots, You will NOT be disappointed!

That alone tells me that company is serious about their product and take pride in their work. That makes me want to go get a pair now. Way to go Whites! its nice to know you are seeing reviews and making adjustments. Im sold! Thanks Rose Anvil for the update and keep it going, i think companies need to know that people care about what they buy.

Ordered my Perry Select's the second they dropped! I got the Tobacco Stampede because I couldn't take my eyes off how beautiful that color was! As far as MITUSA goes, I'd move it to 1 because the Double Shot leather is better then the JK'S. I have a pair of JK 300 and love them but I am just a sucker for a killer Moc Toe.

I’ve had the original Perry for about 18 months. The brown leather has aged and patinaed magnificently. I’m sure the Doubleshot is great, but not sure it would look any better than my boots do now. I wear custom orthotics, so the leather shank wouldn’t do much for me. I’ve had no problems at all with the cardboard counter, which is sandwiched between thick thunks of leather anyway. The new Perry Select looks great, but the “problems” it fixed aren’t really problems, IMHO.

If you're thinking of getting a pair, I've done everything from spike camp backcountry trail work to landscaping to factory work on a concrete floor in them, done 12 mile days in the mountains in them with a 40 lb pack and a chainsaw, etc. Used one, and only one, pair to the end of their lifespan. I also served two seasons of trail crew in a pair of White's, so I can compare and contrast. I second your suggestion, I would LOVE to see them cut in half. Preferably the 2233, the most iconic.

I'm sure you know, the main issue with the Red Wings in the break-in. It's a rough week but after the leather finally gives, I would argue that the Red Wing 875 is the best bang for buck MITUSA Moc Toe. At $290, the Perry Select is hard to justify for the $100 difference. You could make an argument for the normal Perry. Love the videos, I am hype-fixating on them at the moment so it's nice to have something to fill that.

The biggest thing holding me back from getting these (or other similar moc toes) is that I just don't like the white wedge sole. Isn't it hilarious how a company "listens" to what people want, yet this dumb boot is not offered with different color vibram soles which we know exist, and no safety toe option. Also you mentioned the rambler, they don't offer roughout option for these boots either, which is superior for work. When you look at the leather choices, you know they will get sliced up like crazy. All 4 of these major boot brands refuse to give people what they want, and if they do - it will take 4-7 months to build it and cost $700+.

Whites Perry fixed all that and the select is an even better choice but the one complaint I would still have is that the tongue isn’t gusseted higher up. Though if I were to get a wedge sole from White’s I would get the Journeyman or Foreman. The Perry is nice but it kind of erks me that they don't offer rebuilds on any of their goodyear boots. Now that I have both, the Perry Selects and JK 300’s, the Whites are, IMO, far superior for the price point. The biggest tipping point is the premium leather, better internal components in the Whites vs the Jk 300’s. And frankly, they’re just better made, have a higher QC than the 300’s at that price point. The stitching, attention to detail on the Whites is phenomenal, again for the price point. And I have 6 or 7 pairs of higher end, heavy duty, premium JK’s in various styles that you would have to pry off my cold dead feet! 😳 I only wish Whites offered more aggressive Vibram outsole option on the Perry Selects! FWIW, the Whites run bigger than the Red Wings Moc toes and have a wider toe box, are more roomy. You can drop down a 1/2 -1 full size from the Red Wings Moc toes with the Whites.

I’m surprised nobody is complaining about the toe cap!
It is collapsing like it’s made out of cardboard!!
    No structure whatsoever!
I have two pairs of these boots and on both of them the entire front end of the boot it’s way too soft!
I have red wings, Thorogood, and Carolina boots, and none of them have this problem.
I’m curious to see if anyone else has this problem.

Now I’m interested to hear your thoughts on how this compares to the Nick’s moc toe. Is it worth the extra $200 or so for the Nicks? Seems like the only real difference is maybe leather thickness and stitch down vs Goodyear welt

The small ankle struggle is real. I have a pair of B-Width made-in-USA Red Wing Supersole 2.0s, but the ankles are made for fat-footed people. Once they stretched just a tiny bit, I can't lace them tightly enough any more.

Perhaps purchase an orthotic. Especially one with a deep heel cup so it’ll hold your heel in place better. I use Super Feet Carbon Fiber Low Arch ones.

I've got the 6" in British tan. I love them. Comfortable, albeit heavy. Gorgeous. Even more so as they patina and break-in. I've got a few pairs of really good boots, and these are among my most worn. If I ever wear these out (I doubt I will, honestly) I would absolutely get them again. Probably. Those Red Wings, tho...😊

Not sure if you’ll see this But how have they been? Does the British tan patina?

@-CMajor- Just got it. I'll be honest, they are great. I have nothing bad to say about them. But grass being greener and all that, I kinda wish I went with the RedWings. My all-time favorite boots are my Iron Rangers, and I wanted to explore different manufacturers. And I wanted a PNW boot. So yeah, they are great boots. And yes, they are putting on a great patina. And they are mad comfortable. Great boots. But the RWs are the original...

You're going to make consider these selects. I had to return my perry's because the popping noise from the shank was downright embarrassing.

I have a White's Fulton Moc Toe with the same type of leather that's in the Perry. I believe the insole might be synthetic though. It's a good boot. But I'm really excited about the Stampede Leather. I love my Red Wing 875s but the White's Moc Toes tend to fit me much better. The Red Wing's last is just too narrow for my foot. The Stampede Leather is really close to that good ol Moc Toe color too. And IMO White's makes a superior boot to Red Wing. I do still love Red Wing and I always will. For the money you can't beat em. But I also have two pairs of 350 Cruisers (one for work and one for casual wear). And honestly it's probably the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. Love my Nicks Robert Boots and they are superior quality to the 350 Cruisers. But I find the 350 Cruisers more comfortable for sure. I really want a pair of Perry Select Moc Toes in Stampede though. Thanks for the video.

I just received a pair of these, and I have some toe jam with the insole inserted. I understand if I wear them without the insole they will be very stiff to start. Will they eventually break in and be comfortable? Also, will I feel the clinch nails that are exposed? Or should I return them for a larger size? Thank you for any advice you can share.

Bedos Leatherworks has several vidoes that explain the types of welds and which ones are best for what. You have to watch him fix a pair of boots to get the info but its quite fun..

I think Weston is wrong when he says the Red Wing 875 is uncomfortable or is not a good work boot. For me it is the perfect work boot for landscaping. No boot in my 57 years has performed better.

I think the Perry select is more for the money compared to the JKs for the $100+ dollar difference. I may have to get a pair of the Select so I can use my Perrys for work. They're too nice at this point but that nice leather may supplant the standard Perry.
