To be honest in my opinion DmC Devil may cry is 100 times better than this game dmc4 isn't even a dmc game it is just pain when I died while playing as Nero, I had either combo B or combo C I can't remember but when I died it got rid of it and not only that but it didn't give me back the lost souls I had SCREW DMC4 I RATHER PLAY DMC2 THAN THAT SHIT. (This was from the past I'm better at the game now it's fun)
they dropped the ball _big time_ with how weak and lacking in impact most moves feel like in DMC5, rather tame audio-visual feedback. Hell, just compare cerberus from DMC3 to DMC5 to see how they massacred my boi 😤 DMC3 and 4 have excellent feedback both in character and weapon sounds, as well as visual effects (not to mention style and swagger for days in their cutscenes)

I really do miss Lucifer and Pandora. I hope they return someday. I also kinda miss when Dante's dt form changed with his weapon, not drastically but a small change would be neat.
The devil trigger design was an amazing concept. The dt design being fixed on later games proves that he has gained more control in his demon powers thus doesn't need to borrow the energy from the devil arms.
They don't tend to re use Devils Arms. Only Ifrit's style from the first game gets carried over, but with a different name and look. Beowulf, Gilgamesh, Balrog

Strange comment since the gameplay in this video has all the shadows and ambient occlusion disabled, for some reason. The game looks way better than this.
You only needed to press the same button of the style you already had on, for example if you had trickster, you needed to press the trickster button again to use darkslayer

Taunts changes when ur stylish rank changes, the shall we dances or more are at Smokin(S) Smokin Style(SS) Smokin Sick Style(SSS). It's just like Dmc 5 taunting and stylish system bruv, only thing is that u gotta taunt again and again to get that kind of taunt which is kinda annoying that u'll have to keep ur stylish rank up to S or more

Just charge/just release/just timing(saw it once) are the different names of the same mechanic in dmc 1, 4 and 5 (I don't think you can do it in dmc3) when you release gauntlets attack button perfectly in time so your charged hit deals much more damage. And Distortion means using perfect timed DT so your DT frames stacked on top of attack connection frames, and somehow it creates additional hit with good damage. You can mix Just release of Gilgamesh/Beowulf and Distortion for max damage, but they are not the same thing, and you can make distorted version of any attack in dmc 4, not just for Gilgamesh. As far as I know Distortion is a glitch, it was removed from dmc 5, and its usage feels like game breaking in 4. On the other hand, Just release of Gilgamesh or Beowulf is intended and has its own visual and sound effects since dmc4, but devs could demonstrate the mechanic more clearly then they did, its the most important mechanic of the charging gauntlets in my opinion, and its my favourite in the entire series, but even dmc youtubers don't talk about it for some reason

I know this isn’t DMC 5, but there is a way to give Dante the Darkslayer in that game. Still not much, compared to Vergil, but more than the DMC 4 style of the same name. I think it’s a mod, but idk for sure.
It gives you "Super Armor", you take no damage, cannot be staggered or being knocked back. In exchange for slow movement speed, short duration time (depends on your Rage gauge), long animation time to transform and you still lose Style meter if you take damage.
Dmc 4 has a special place in my heart... for being the most painful for my fingers💀

When I played dmc 4 I got the yamato I was never able to use the dark slayer fighting style with Dante
You only needed to press the same button of the style you already had on, for example if you had trickster, you needed to press the trickster button again to use darkslayer

How do you use the Yamato in the forest level?
Save in mission 18 and then you'll have it in every Dante mission
