For those of us with an extensive list of things to isolate, you can instead select the items you want to *keep,* and then push Ctrl+I to select the *inverse* of your current selection. Basically just manually selecting the group of things you have less of to save time!
I realise I was also using the wrong version of blender so that wasn't helping, I think I've worked it out with the right version, I am guessing it is the material properties tab, was having a right little tantrum 🤣
This is great, very informative and easy to understand for someone that doesn't know anything about blender I'm having an issue though, when I'm in the process of making the hair fit my avi when I do the elastic deform, this doesn't move the bones with it to the point where they'd end up outside of the hair strands. How do I fix this issue?
Thank you for your videos, but in some cases, when you close the Blender or Unity menu with your avatar and just say with words where to click, it's a little difficult. Just move it to empty left corner, please
i followed your tutorial and exported just the hair for a avatar im working on, the problem is when i get the fbx to substance painter to paint some of the paint crosses over to other parts of the hair, is there a fix for this ?
i have 1 more question is about Opening FBX files. When i Open FBX files the Bones are always really big and there sticking out of the models any idea why it dose that? i have a wicker beast too and my FBX is no where close to your FBX file lol "im guessing your got Ignore leaf bone on??? for the settings?"
if you have a bunch of end bones thats most likely due to improper export settings (not turning leaf bones off) how ever this can be easily and quickly fixed without much hassle, let me know if you want that info
@@PxINKY yes please all my import settings are on Default settings i never touched anything i tried "Leaf bone off today" and i thought that was the fix i guess not lol "Ops you said Export settings... Umm i never Exported the Files this is DL right off from Gumroad fresh files grabbed from Unity FBX. it dose it to all my FBX files" am i allow to msg u on discord and ill show you what my looks like X-D???

@@PxINKY thanks that helped alot! yeah i was like i wonder what happen to the Cats Dev lol i didnt want to use Blender 2.80 because it was soo Slow and laggy then i stopped using Cats X-D and did every thing the Old style way Ouch T.T

you can try editing the bones within edit mode to match or just split the hair armature and move it independently
Keep up the good work :)
at about 1:08 you say to press tab and get to materials n what not but i dont see any of that stuff.. im not entirely sure whats going on?

Good point, I normally take screenshots on the screen, but it seems I may have forgotten that in this video. Ill make sure to cover that next time!

how do i put this, when i export the body mesh just turns invisible
Could you make a video on how to splice a head from another avatar and merge it onto a new body?
I had this planned, I just wanted to get a very basic level one out before I move onto more advanced stuff like that!
Stay tuned ^-^
@@PxINKY makes sense, I will stay tuned. Very excited to see
@@PxINKYCan’t wait!!! I was abt to ask this question 😭
Does this work for body parts like hips?
Yes, but that also requires some more advanced tactics, ill be producing a v2 of this soon!
Thx for the tip👍

where there any to begin with?
These videos are so informative and helpfull. But do you HAVE to slam your desk when you press keys sometimes ;; It's so jarring!

@@PxINKY i changed it the most newest version and restarted pc, and then it started working again. guess it was just in a silly goofy mood. lmao
Why do I keep getting invalid header every time I try to import.... ;-;
is it a red error? make sure your sdk / unity is up to date
i thought Cats only works with blender 2.80 to 2.90 O.o
it works up to 3.5 if you use the developer build
