Moto, BMX, skating, Karting, mountain biking, no matter your age, everyone speaks the same language. 8 or 80, it doesn't matter. Everyone is there to do the same thing. Love this podcast.
The more I find out about Remy the more I’m like “this dude’s got it right”. Coming from a BMX background into mtb I’m fully behind the whole “you don’t need all the gear to have a sick time” thing. As well as pushing the boundaries of “normal” riding. I don’t go nearly as fast or as big as he can so I won’t be getting my own Red Bull helmet but I’m fully there for the ethos behind what he’s doing. I’ve taken a look at my 130mm Giant Trance 29er trail bike and actually thought “how can I make this work right for me” so I’ve stiffened the suspension right up and slowed the rebound down, ditched the gears and gone singlespeed, ditched the dropper post in favour of a pivotal BMX seat and post and I’m considering setting it up either with a mullet setup (29” front wheel, 27.5” rear wheel) or just going full 27.5” just to try it and see if it works any better for me. I know I’m gonna get weird looks and comments out on the trails but I don’t care because it’s gonna suit my style of riding, which is “push up the hill, scream back down hitting all the fun bits with as much speed and style as I can” on a light, nimble bike. So I’m not quite a full fledged DHT rider, sort of a “DHT Lite” kinda rider 😂
100% MTB being a bmxer first the big corporate big logo, upgrade upgrade upgrade side of mtb is something I dislike. More DIY, more ware what you like, have etc. Work trousers, t shirt, or a running top, whatever. Modify, and build, don't buy buy buy.
@@gypsytalespodcast9369 maybe the MTB stuff can go on the Gypsytales channel and only the non bike stuff; music, comedian etc on the Gypsytales Podcast channel. These bangers are underviewed IMO...
Interesting point on the pedalling and jumps and its something I struggle with (at a lower level obviously). A good set of bmx trails you expect to drop in and be able to clear the jumps, but on a mtb park half the time its crank crank crank towards a jump and it does feel unnatural (to me) for some dirt jumps to need to pedal
I was surprised with the talk of "what is style". Style, which is individual, makes you smooth, smooth makes you fast. Style looks amazing but is the solution to smoothing out the rough (moto and mtb).

Anyone know the Danzig/Ramones mashup he’s talking about? The song playing in Remy’s head for Sound of Speed? Want to find it bad. Thanks.
Awesome sick podcast with remy 🤟
Remy is a proper on to it rider. For the love of the riding.
Still got a Specialized Bighit with 24 / 26 inch wheels lol. Sod this 29 inch stuff. :)

Chur Remy 💯💯💯
Remy is a loose guy, sounds like he'd be a rad guy to hang with.. coming from a bmx/mtb rider and a massive drum and bass head!
That gatorbeug hat is out the the gate
