You brought forth some very good points and also you are portraying a more realistic life than a lot of others on utube. I appreciate both of these things and your honesty in saying so.
Shannon, I’ve watched a few of the time management videos and can really identify with some items you mentioned. Number one : delegate! There are several years difference in my children’s ages. There was always a “chore” list. I would tell them it was their contribution to the family such as doing the dishes and straightening their room. I can’t say each girl was as acceptable to the idea. But it is what it is. I was a single working mom, child 3 and later child 4 had time intensive medical issues. I always was able to get everything done. But… there was one thing that I always delegated ….. cutting the grass! No matter how financially stressed I was, I decided it was cheaper to pay someone to cut the grass than to pay to replace my old broken down lawnmower, and stress myself and the older girls to do it. Just not worth it. It’s like picking your own battles! I like your batch ideas. I use that technique also.
As a homemaker these time management skills are great tip's. Also I would like to say is I'm alot older now so a task that use to take me 20 minutes now takes me 30 minutes. So that really changes my time management.
Batch working is better for me as well! I used to do laundry everyday and it transformed me into "an empty laundry basket freak" LOL 😅 In my case it was counter productive and when I switched to a one day or twice a week batch laundry it made such a positive difference! As a personal preference I'm not on any social media such as Instagram, Facebook etc. it's one less thing to think about! However, I understand the need for it if you have a business, a u-tube channel or if it brings you joy! Thank you for the great tips and take care!🌿🌾🍃🍂🍁🍂🍃🌾🌿
I agree about the laundry ! It makes a huge difference. Also when it comes to social media I have limited everything to what really needs to get done and it makes a huge difference with how much time I have for my life and family =).
👋 Shannon! Very motivating video! 👏 I usually get lost in the details and waste so much time. Time is the biggest "enemy". 😉 And with my mom being a hoarder, and me doing the minimalist journey, it's not easy in regards to time. She was my trigger to minimalism because everytime I came over, I would always throw away junk stuff she'd keep in the "maybe/save for later" box(es), and she'd get very upset. 🤣 Big hugs. 🤗
Hi Alice, the details can take so much time and especially decluttering can be very overwhelming sometimes. It sounds like you are doing an amazing job, it just takes time. =)
Great video, Shannon! On the delegating part you mentioned, I have no problem seeing TH-camrs outsourced tasks they don't like doing or deem non essential. My caution is that being upfront with their viewers is utmost important so it would not cause someone to stumble thinking they can't keep their house as efficiently as their favorite TH-camrs do. :) Hope you are feeling better now that you are almost past the first trimester?
Thank you Jenny, This is why I mentioned this about social media because I was actually feeling like I couldn't keep up at one point. I kept thinking why can't I keep up and do everything. Then I started to hear different people I follow mention that they have house cleaners, people helping with their blogs, people editing their videos and so much more. It just helped me put everything in perspective and made me realize if you want to grow a business even bigger sometimes help is needed =)
I have aBlock schedule and a morning and school routine ...I Also, only put three daily things on my to do list ( aside from my morning and school routines) what do you think??

Time blocking is a big one for me! I love being organized throughout the day. Good luck to everyone this semester!
Time blocking is great 😊

I do all my laundry in one day too, and I never thought of it as Batch work. Good point. Thank you very much for the tips!
Love the idea of thinking about the three most important things.

What a great idea! I also see the benefits of letting others help out or paying someone to help out =)
