    Thanks for the very useful information. Can my daughter apply to colleges [planning 7 for early decision] one at a time directly with the schools or in bulk via those apps where she can send one application to multiple schools? What do you recommend to increase her chances of review/decision?

    if i have strong AP scores and want colleges to consider them in my decision, do I have to pay for the full score report to be sent from college board to the school, or will they use my self reported scores on my application for my decision without having the official report yet

    • @AngelicaMichelle
      @AngelicaMichelle  ปีที่แล้ว

      They’ll look at your self report, obviously you can’t lie though because you will be sending the score report to the school u end up going to regardless

    When you say apply early, how do we if we are still waiting on our letters of recommendations from teachers?

    • @AngelicaMichelle
      @AngelicaMichelle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, in my case I asked for rev letters before Junior year ended, and asked them if it was possible to get them back by August 1st. (Aka before they get bombarded the beginning of freshman year with rev letter requests). But by early I mean early, august, latest early September!

    hey internet, i could use advice (bear with me through the rant). i did horrible my first two years of highschool. like really bad. i’m talking 2.0 gpa sophomore year and i wasn’t involved in anything. i’ve definitely made a massive improvement since. i get straight A’s now, i won several national and state awards in speech and debate and mock trial (also the captain of the team), i am a semiprofessional guitarist and musician, founder and president of 3 clubs (also some state rewards), and i teach guitar to middle school kids along with a few other involvements. i can’t make up for my freshman and sophomore year, but my goal is harvard. i did pretty bad on the sats too which i probably won’t submit. my question is: is it even realistically possible for me to get into a prestigious college now? my gpa is still pretty bad, i believe i’m sitting at around a 3.2 not including senior year (yet to come). i’m also kinda nervous that it might be a reach for me to even get into a normal college that isn’t competitive. do you guys think my ecs, awards, and improvement could make up for it? how much do you think the first two years will affect my application?

    • @jazlyn2721
      @jazlyn2721 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I skimmed through this and seen you have a 3.2 and haven’t even reached senior year yet. You will be fine. You can easily increase that gpa if you take honor classes, AP’s , and depending on school dual enrollment. Some don’t even count your freshman year at all. If you try the SAT/ACT and receive a great score, that will have a impact as well. It goes beyond GPA. Improvement is something they look at heavily as well.
      Edit: Okay I finished reading and you will definitely get into a university with a unfinished 3.2 that will increase your senior year. You’ll be okay girl, you got this.

    So usually the applications that we submit to colleges usually never include our senior year because the admission usually start at the beginning of senior year?

    • @AngelicaMichelle
      @AngelicaMichelle  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      correct, they'll still ask about what classes you'll take your last year. You have to list them out

    • @OriginalSirSpeaksAlot
      @OriginalSirSpeaksAlot 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @laleagregory7192 I ended up taking 2 classes for the fall semester, and I'm taking 2 more for this spring semester.
      I don't fully understand everything yet, but it's doable just talking to the advisors. For classes, I talk to a regular advisor. For finances, I go to the financial advisor. I'm actually gonna go to a financial advisor right now because there are some things I don't understand regarding that. Like I got a grant and I had no idea where it came from, so I need to be educated on it lol

      hi! i’m a rising senior, and i would recommend still submitting your transcript during the requested time period despite you being a little ahead (that’s assuming you are). now if you’re worried about not getting all of you credits in time, i recommend talking with your school counselor about your current classes and classes that you can take during your second semester to fulfill those requirements. same applies when talking about dual credit classes which typically factor into your academic credits. i currently have all of my credits but it doesn’t really make a difference when factoring in “time.” i feel it just makes the process a lot less daunting and makes everything go by more smoothly if you stick to your class graduation time period (in our case, class of 2024.) i hope this helps, just let me know if you need more clarity:)
