Just accidentally came across this video on TH-cam. Never heard of this band, but I did notice your comment and decided to give them a few minutes of my time because I generally agree with what you said and based on what you said, I figured that there is a good chance I might like this..... ... and sure enough... they are pretty good.
In my top 5 active bands. Not a single bad song on any of their records. Saw them twice in Columbus OH and their shows are sooo good. Also, Peter is a beast drummer whose enthusiasm multiplies the energy at shows. Glad they are getting more and more recognition.

Amazing how many people in the comments are hearing them for the first time - severely underrated and they should be selling out venues double the size of what they are playing. Still hands down best album of last year (and there are a ton of good ones from last year) and even a better band live.
Not the first time hearing them, but I keep revisiting because they're so amazing. They really are so underrated. I feel like they need to play on SNL or a late night show or something and their fanbase would explode.
Met Jessica at the hotel after PJ gig. Had a chat in the elevator. Very gracious. They killed both night in St Paul! I'll definitely go see them if they come to Boston
Listened to this actually on the radio, caught in the rain on I-5. Made it to the show the next day at the showbox. Hell of a return to live music. What a rush. Love these guys.

Who runs the audio mix… give that person a raise! The sound is incredible and I was introduced to DSD when they opened for Joseph in Feb2020 and I was hooked. Incredible band. Side note… please book Joseph!!
Can't stop watching this. The energy of great drummers never translates fully through video, and Peter looks like he'd blow up the room live. Definitely hope to see them come to California.

Wow. I haven't heard a band this sonically rich AND chock-full of catchy pop hooks since DIIV's second album back in 2016. I'm absolutely blown away right now.
As someone who was a big fan of alternative " pop" music (from punk to Americana) who gave it up for old and new "classical" music about 20 years ago, hearing a band like this with songs like these reminds me of what makes rock 'n' roll revelatory.
Amazing performances like this are why I subscribed to this channel. KEXP is one of the last avenues to find really great music these days. Deep Sea Diver will now be in my collection and on regular rotation. A great end to a tough day. Thanks KEXP and Deep Sea Diver.

I was at the Missoula DCFC show with a friend, had no clue who was opening and never heard of Deep Sea Diver before that. Wowzers! Usually it's hard to get into a group you've never heard before but they were so amazing and the energy they brought was incredible. I didn't want them to leave the stage! Might be a while since I live in Wisconsin but I can't wait to see them live again!!!

"don't be afraid, don't be ashamed" is a mantra I can't believe took this long to exist, I love it, truly, it hits every bell I need to hear, sadly, I'm still afraid and (borderline) ashamed, but your song has truly struck a chord in the right direction, thank you all involved

KEXP is a treasure. Lived in Seattle for 20 years, and being able to tune into a station like that while being stuck in awful traffic was a gift.
Gotta do a live in-studio someday...its on the short list of must do's!
