I'm running the new Rough Country lift that uses springs and not just the spacers. Also used Rubicon Express relocation brackets. I'm very happy with the result. The lift was $600, brackets were $200. Running 35s on a Gladiator Sport S with max tow package. No rubbing at all.
OH MY GOD!!! Round Rock donuts! I used to go to school right next to that holy place of sugary goodness! Stopped by almost every day on the way to school. Ahhh good times.
I'm 32 know almost 33. I remember when I was a kid that sky-jacker was a big thing in off road world is you weren't runing it you where runing pro-lift . I seen that mopar offers their factory lift kits with fox shocks? How dose it compare to sky-jacker ?
I enjoy your videos. No BS'ing. Skyjacker doesn't get a lot of love in the Jeep world but sometimes it is a budget decision. Thanks for showing people that it's ok if they can't go crazy and start throwing money at their Jeeps.
The 2020 and 2021 Jeep Gladiators all models are developing leaking axle seals on primarily the rear drivers side. Jeep knows this and are replacing the axles under warrenty. There is a good chance that a recall is coming soon.
@@Phoys1 I run 35" Falken tires-35x12.5x17. My wheels are 17x8.5 Tactik T-742 with +6 offset and 5" backspace. They stick out past the fender about 1 inch.
Good informative video. I went with the Skyjacker 3.5 in. lift and after some changes I'm now happy with the results. I opted for the M-95 shocks which turned out to be not so good, the rears were making all kinds of noise while cycling. I changed them for a set of Fox 2.0's, they are much better. I also put a set of Rubicon express control arms front uppers and upper and lower rear which really improved the ride. Now I'm very happy with the lift.
HI,where you located at ? i am in long Island NY & looking to do the 4.1/2" lift on my 2020 gladiator Rubicon.Do you know any place near my location. Thanks
I got a rubicon express lift kit for my JL. Was told they have decent quality. The ride was very harsh and the parts rusted up after 1 winter season. The OE parts surprisingly are holding up much better. I think I'll try the mopar lift kit next.
I bought my gladiator about 5 months ago. I choose the sport package for the simple fact the Rubicon can not have the tow package. My plan was to drive it stock for the first 2 oil changes, long story short, Corona. Once I'm back to work I'll definitely be lifting and putting on 37s. I've been impressed with the products you offer for the gladiator. I need a bed rack that is water resistant for the Oregon coast.
Gotta love the clowns bagging on Rubicon owners for adding a “cheap” suspension. Most of us don’t do rock crawling - that is absolutely boring to me. I run light trails & do weekend trips. Bought the Rubi (after owning many Sports) because I get the axles, gearing, e disconnect sway bar, & other features + resale value that I want. The stock Rubi shocks are Fox & they perform very well. This Skyjacker lift clears bigger tires & that’s what most of us really want. Fixating on what other people do with their money & getting butt hurt over how other rigs are setup is a mental illness - go get help.
I agree. Different stroke for different folks. Personally I wouldn’t run it but I use mine a bit different than the people that will run it. That’s why there’s an assortment of lifts and brands out there.
yeah why do they get off on crawling rocks?? like bro youre still just in big bear... its not like they are treking to this dope ass spot that only a jeep can get to, so they can camp for a week... they literally go up a big rock and smile like what an accomplishment that my man made vehicle that i didnt build can go over that, boring is right.. losers lol
I really appreciate this video!! I’m installing a spacer lift, 2” front 1” rear, on my 2 door jk. This and my 32” tires will allow me to drive off road without dragging under the Jeep where I wheel. My research claims my factory shocks and the geometry of everything else in the suspension doesn’t need modification, do you somewhat agree? Any thoughts would be really appreciated!!!
Exodus 4x4 Oh so only during articulation would it run? I thought it wouldn’t fit at all the way it was demonstrated in video? I was actually considering same lift for my gladiator. That’s why I was concerned.
It won’t fit at full droop, but at ride height it’s ok. They aren’t designed for the angle at ride height either so time is limited. I’d recommend an aftermarket for sure
Wait!!’ So this lift installation negates the truck’s off road capability?! I mean due to your comments on the front drive shaft reinstallation. I think the truck looks great but is it essentially now a mall crawler????
It’s up to the customer to opt into buying a front driveshaft. It’s not just this lift, but any lift over 2.5” should change to an aftermarket driveshaft. That’s pretty much been the standard on Jeeps since the JK.
I have the same color gladiator and rims ,, except my rims are gun metal color,,, I installed a 3.5” lift ,,,, with35” tires,, I get a little bit of sailing with the tires so a stabilizer is next... 0lllll0

Disagree - I have a Rubicon JL & do light wheeling such as fire trails only. Why would I dump thousands on a long-arm or other similar high-cost setup when it’s overkill for most? I bought the Rubi after owning Sports because I get the axles, sway bar disconnect, gearing, & other features + resale value. Your opinion is idiotic.
I'm not sure but I don't think this truck is $60k because it doesn't look like a Rubicon. I believe it's the Sport based on the hood. The fenders were probably swapped out with Rubicon fenders. It's more affordable to do than replacing the stock hood with the Rubicon power dome styled hood. So he wasn't budgeting a lift on a $60k vehicle.

How high of a lift was required
You can run 35s on a sport completely stock anyways. A 2 inch lift lets you run 37s

Yes, it caught my attention too. I think it may be FabFours.

The Leightner rack is hands down the best option. Very stout and the powder coat is top notch!

Just put spacers on the cross member if that hasn't been mentioned already. Then see where you are at with the exhaust. Dent as required.

With a 2” front spacer you’re correct, not enough to warrant adjustable arms. Rock on!
