I really don't know, I can't find info for a Version 1. I mostly got this for the 0.3 needle size.. Hope someone else can find an answer.

The other FWA Platinum was a 0.2 (PS270) I dont know if this was the first version and I believe that they come from the same factory as Iwata

Great review Peter, I've had a Procon Boy Creos 0.3 for a couple of years now and love it - feels really great in my hand. One issue though, the nozzle can break with rough handling so be careful cleaning the front end - ask me how I know. Take care.

Hi Peter, That looks like a great airbrush. This is a great investment for your modeling. I checked out that website, it looks like they have quite a selection of tools. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

Now this an excellent airbrush, I've thrown Acrylics, Lacquers and Primers through Mine, still on it's original needle and nozzle, doesn't miss a beat. I know why you went for a 0.3mm nozzle you need it for coverage on the yamato (I used the PS-270 (0.2mm Needle) for the Snowberry, again it's first on a new needle and nozzle in 4 years , but that's because I bent the needle lol)

Looks a great airbrush, something I need to invest in , but think I will have my eyes tested and new spectacles 👓 first.
Does that website supply drop bears too 😂

I think you got it wrong with the can of paint being able to paint through the air brush, I believe the can is compressed air. Other than that is looks like a good piece of kit.

What's the difference between the FWA and WA?

I think one has 0.2 needle and the other 0.3mm.

Watched another review of this airbrush on a prominent Australian airbrushing site. Was dismayed at his titling it a "beginner airbrush" regardless the otherwise positive accolade prefix "best". FFS. I've been airbrushing for more than 40 years now and only too well remember a time a decade before that when you had to be a millionaire just to afford an airbrush and a very basic and very noisy hobby compressor like a positively agricultural Miller -without an air tank!
I just bought one of these PS289. Yet to receive it (in transit). Appears to be right up there with MIJ Iwata airbrushes from what I can glean. I already have an Iwata, two Badgers, an Omni, a Tamiya (Sparmax rebadge) and Fengda cheapie. Can't fault any of the Badgers, Omni, Tamiya/Sparmax for the hobby painting job. I'd admired Sparmax from afar for years before Iwata acquired them when they were made in Taiwan. AFAIC they are right up there and offer fantastic quality for the money. People have become such snobs. Like a guitarist who has to have a Martin or Taylor for the name on the headstock but is challenged playing rudimentiary cowboy chords -badly.

I agree, Well said 👍 Actually I just upgraded to the Iwata Eclipse only because I destroyed the thread screwing the nozzle in my My Hobby Procon, otherwise it was a fine airbrush.
