Hi Peter, just picking up on something you said regarding the tracks, in normal service you would not see rust on the track due to a combination of maintenance, the material they are made from and them being un use. so keep your weathering to muck, dust and mud. coming along nicely though buddy

When I build a tank, I usually start cleaning up the track parts in my spare time way before I need them. That way I don't get burned out on the cleanup before I start building the tracks. i would say that back wheel would turn ,as if the spindle goes all the way through ,it would be glued to the inner part of the hub cap ,that came in 2 pieces ,then the outer piece would be glued on just to the wheel and not the inner piece and wheel would turn, thing what needs to turn and what needs to be stationary

Hi Peter, Your Lee is looking great. I'm glad I was able to help you with those wheels. Thanks for the shout out. I agree with you about part Da12, I wouldn't fit that until you get the tracks fitted for the last time.. Also don't glue in the front sprocket Ld1& Ld2 until you are ready to install the tracks for the final time. The tracks are going to be workable if you are really careful with your glue. The instructions say you will need 79 of each of the 4 parts that make up one side. I would get all the parts cleaned and counted out before you start. When I make up tracks I try to work against a straight edge just to make sure everything fits. If you need anything else, let me know. Have a great day mate. Jeff

Dear Peter, that round circular hatch on the routemaster roof is for drainage. Apparently, the Routemaster was notorious for leaks especially between panel lines. Every once in a while the Routemaster would go into the workshop and the catch removed so that water could be drained using a pump. Great Build by the way! Best Wishes Johnny

This kit was produced in 1998, and the pagoda is wrong, part B4, is a signal platform that was removed from the pagoda in her 1944 refit, and the platform just ahead of it which has the Type 22 radar horns on it should be mounted in it's place. Additionally, there are two type 89 periscopes missing from the bulges either side of the pagoda just above the main bridge, and part B9 a platform that mounted a twin 13 mm machine gun and binoculars, these are not listed to be mounted in the instructions.

Could you glue the PE part to the tool then paint that entire piece. Once you’ve painted the exterior of the tank, you could carefully glue the tool (& PE) to the tank, prior to weathering.

Yamato 1/200 model small boats seem to provide for the “seats” to be flush with the top of the gunwales not part way down inside the boat. Am I confused or what? “

I am building the Yamato 1/200 scale battleship. A question about some of the smaller boats. In the anatomy of a ship the color photos show that the seats for the crew are fixed part way down the inside of the boat. But the sprue parts provided only allow the seats to be installed flush with the top level of the gunwales, not down inside the boat. What am I not understanding?

Pete, found out about you via HTM. If you are up for it I'm trying to navigate the minefield of 1:16 Radio Controlled tanks. My impressions to date are: There's a bunch of "entry level" options Heng Long, Tigen, etc. ("cheap" but crap [in my view]). Then you jump to say Agora. Dearer, but still not very accurate / "good" [in my view] Then say Tamiya. Good [in my view] Then say sonderfahrzeug-modellbau kits. Look great on the web site, but he wont answer questions before you spend the $. and finally the peak is 1/6 ArmorTek. Fantastic! - but at over AUD$10,000 (pre shipping it) would want to be.
