Thanks for the vid, just did this job. Drives great and no codes but didnt reset the adaptation. Ill go ahead and reset them with the autel when back in the shop. Thanks again.
Hey man, I know this video is a little old, although I am in dire need of those injectors caps that you used to compress the seals. None of the tools I am using work to compress it. I’ve tried every b58 injector seal tool with no solution. If you could possibly send or tell me what brand those are I would appreciate it.
Another way without a tool is take a piece of rubber fuel line and run it over the seal and they tighten a hose clamp and let it sit for a few minutes. Hope that helps
Yea you don't need those "caps" to compress the new Teflon seal. I've use a tool from dptool from Amazon for mine. Different tool but same concept, just need to apply pressure to compress em tight
I mean is there a specific pattern that you have to use what are the Torx that you need to bolt down the injectors the boat down the rail first and then the injectors there’s so many questions I have that unfortunately your video did not want to share
Did you reuse the old screws or all brand new ones? When I did mine there was also a sequence to tigthen the screws down. Final torque should be 5nm then 90 degree turn.
Yup did all that in the Timelapse. I just don’t have the information from the Alldata available for me to share. Generally though, screwing the screws closes to the manifold first then the ones closes to turbo is the way to go. Then slowly tighten the injector screws going back and forth between the single injector acres to get a nice flush fit. Also, BMW calls for 5 Nm but rarely can you find a Torque Wrench that reads that low, so hand tight or slightly over is not bad.
Where did you get those caps? Trying to find a set for when I do my injectors or something that will work but am not sure what to buy for the seal compressor
That’s basically how a lot of OEM parts work. Your BMW calipers aren’t made by BMW, they’re made by Brembo, your spark plugs aren’t made by BMW they’re made by NGK or Champion, your BMW OEM Coils aren’t made by BMW they’re made by Eldor. Your pistons are made by Mahle.

so once rail is back in and you torque injector bolts down doesn't that mess up space for injectors?

Have you found a solution now ? I am having same problem

A lot of the work I did was based off the Alldata information (BMW OEM), what are your questions and I will happily answer them.
Now if only I could get my hands on those specialty tools. They've been oos for a while now. Thanks for the how to though.
I know, I spoke to him, he’s getting some in soon!

@@NoClutchGarage Yeah I just bought a bicycle torque wrench for the job which are easy to get off amazon etc
nice! I’ll look into it!
Good morning
I will soon place the 6 injectors.
Do they have to encode them with ista or Mhd is to do it
THANK YOU
All you have to do is reset fuel adaptations!

No need for the caps if you buy new injectors!
@@bmwsincekid the new injectors don't come compressed though 🤔
Is the Bmw Stamped Injector same as Bosch I mean bosch makes for bmw and bmw Just puts it emblem on it??

Thx B58 ❤❤❤❤ next year im gonna tune my 540i 😊🎉
would u recommend swapping injectors on a high mileage car ?
Probably a good idea but I wouldn’t mess with them if they aren’t giving you issues.
@@NoClutchGarage I mean all it takes is a random failure with no warning and the motor can be toast
I mean you can apply that logic to just about any engine failure…
where do you get those thing to sit the seal?
Honestly the shop has them but there is a seal tool you can buy!
Are those the Bosh Injector?
They’re OEM
@NoClutch Garage OEM so expensive. Isn't it like 300 per?
1500cc per injectors?
It’s an estimation yes
The torque sequence wasn’t correct!
Literally read off of Alldata idk what you want me to tell you
@@NoClutchGarage Im just saying thats not the correct way bro
