I'm going to try the Repashy gel food for my Otos & Siamese Algae Eater. The brine shrimp hatchery looks pretty interesting, too. I feed my fish frozen daphnia once a week, but I'm sure they'd love the live food, too.

I used to do this and my plants kept dying, then a lady at my fish store told me to plant them separately and my plants have thrived ever since. But If planting them bunched together works for you that's completely fine tho! Just thought id share my own experience :)

An interesting thought just came through my mind and reminds me of my early days of fishing with my wife. When we had no money at all we go from fish store to fish store looking to see what they had to see if they had anything exceptional that we might want. But I have a feeling people today don't do as much traveling for fish as I used to so maybe a thought on how people that are going to peruse a fish store in contrast to the average customer. Maybe when I'm talking about is the local customer versus the fish tourist.
On myself like to wait till they're done helping local customers and then ask my questions and I assume that most people would do this instead of demanding to be the first in line for attention even though you're not intending to buy a whole lot.
In the end I get to know my local fish shops and I consider that within 50 mi I get to know what that shopkeeper likes dislikes as far as fit fish and whether or not he'd be interested in fish that I have for sale or if they're particularly looking for anything. Even to the point where if I'm looking for a specific fish I can ask them if they've ever run into it and sometimes I get a yes it's the fruit. That's how I found my first emerald green - corridors back in 1984 back when those were unheard of but one guy in bend Oregon had a couple and I had to drive them back three hours to my fish tank.
So maybe a thought on the Aquarius visiting shops. I know this is probably not in your usual range of topics

In which fishes are extremely sensitive to any change in their diet even from day to day
Clean loaches have a 3 mm max size range in their pellets they can't take anything that's extremely sharp and they really don't like change at all for instance they live between 78 and 82° for an entire year and they only eat things 3 mm or smaller that is pretty much the same thing every day
    Of course our exceptions
And not even trying to point out facts what I'm trying to point out is knowing exactly what your fish like to eat is actually half the fun of owning a fish
I'm currently doing research on hillstream loaches and I really liked your video about it but all I see in the videos that other people are making are tanks that are basically food deserts for a hillstream loach especially when they're new
    So I don't know there's a lot to learn

What would you recommend for a mixed Cichlid tank. They love the frozen food (Cichlid community and Blood worms) but they won't touch any pellets (floating and sinking) or flakes. Even the ones labelled specifically for Cichlids.

Brand new tank with new filter. Should I be doing water changes when trying to cycle first? Or no water change until ammonia and nitrates reach zero?

Most of them are from aquariumcoop.com, which I work for. They mostly specialize in beginner level plants that do well despite my lack of a green thumb. :)

How long does fish food usually stay good before it expires? I only have one betta, so I'd love to try this trick!
