At first I thought it was a bad idea, but after a lot of completed campaigns I decided to use the Prestige option and... Freelancer started to be cool again :)
SA and SO are difficult as fk. I haven't done hardcore, but I try to do all the objectives. So far, if I was to do hardcore, I'd fail like twice. As soon as I can do it a couple of times I'll take the risk haha. Do you get to keep your guns when you enter hardcore? Or do they all reset as well?
@@Veeroos Yeah, I heard Gen mention he prestiged his guns later on. Also, if you rely a lot on the weapons, prestiging the guns to reset them is also kind of fun. I didn't realize HOW much I actually relied on silencers and snipers. It forced me to be more methodical.

Honestly thought Dubai first mission was game over but you managed to stay calm and persevere! 👏 Not only congratulations on beating Hardcore butt doing it on your first try is something special! It's when things doesn't go our way that our resolve and never give up attitude gets tested. I have used ALT F4 many times for near death situations. However I think it's awesome to have the chance to retry let's say an SA/SASO mission to find a beautiful route. Because it's one thing to try to find a way out of a sticky situation and another if you get shot from every angle and you are right then and there about to die. I love the run and gun aspect of speedrunning with Silenced Pistol + Sniper but those moments that bring out the survivor in me are also very exciting and challenging! I just love Freelancer compared to the regular story mode (which I am also going to complete at some point). Freelancer has that neverending newish feeling of having to figure out everything on the fly. I started playing Hitman for the first time in December 2023 and I'm already sort of hooked.

Gen have you tried using a shotgun or submachine gun for collateral kills since the patch? I saw that they increased the time to receive the objective now?
I've never tried it myself, but I know that it works. I saw other people do it. I assume it's rather easy with a shotgun and a bit tricky with SMG since you have to flick really fast between heads.

I've never had this problem. Every time I wanted to craft C4, I did it. But I heard from people about it. I'm not sure, but I think it happens more often on PS or Xbox. What platform are you playing on?
Doesn't work for me on PS4 either. I picked it up twice, lol. It seems that if you have ANY other explosive, the option to make your own no longer works.
I think it's scripted that way - when assassins and other guards evacuate suspect they spot you if you come close to them. Maybe it's made to avoid players to just run close and drop bombs on them.
@@GenP Could be but there was no indication of anyone being after YOU specifically or that they even had any clues on your look/disguise. I wonder if it was the camera ? Because it was live when you took out and then snapped the neck of the suspect on the floor in the garage entrance hallway. The camera however usually starts glowing yellow, then red and beeps to indicate action going on (as you ofc know). Yet I wonder IF it could have been a bug ? That the camera recorded everything but didn't say a word. Like a SA camera lol. If it wasn't the camera, that right there is just bullshit and makes the game bad. Not to mention something like that could cause you to lose everything ?! Hell nah... IOI has some fixing to do in order to make the NPC function how they should in my opinion. *Looking at you enemies who forget that you have become tranquilized when other things happen LOL*
I tried hardcore with my first prestige , I got so close to completing it , but i got mowed down by the Ambrose Island guards. The NPCs always seem really inconsistent when it comes to combat situations, but let's just say I was pretty miffed haha
I see. Ambrose is one the most unstable maps, at least for me 😅 Everything can go wrong very fast there. A bit of luck is always required for hardcore, I was close to fails couple times too.
Playing on prestige hard-core mode now completely not worth it. It’s like the developers get off on making the game worse absolutely zero incentive to want to play hard-core mode or prestige when the rewards are so low.🙄🥱 OK, we get it. The developers get off on making the game annoying and not actually difficult.

How do you shoot so fast and accurate. What settings do you use?
I play on PC with mouse. In game settings my mouse sensitivity is around 0.6 and 800 dpi in mouse settings.

Yes, reward is growing until prestige level 5, so it's maxed at level 5.
