Long-standing gamer, recent speedrunner. Playing different games, but one of my favourites is HITMAN.
Hardcore Any% Speedrun in 24:19 (World Record) - Freelancer - HITMAN World of Assassination
It was so hard to achieve this time. My last personal best was 26m 15s, and then I had two more 26-minute runs. But now, looking at this run, I realize how easily it can be a very low 23 minutes or even less. I have two very slow missions here (Paris and Sapienza) and two slow showdowns (Haven and Mendoza); improving at least one of them will make a huge difference.
Even though I feel very excited after getting this run, you never know how long it may take to improve RNG-based speedrun, so I think this is probably my last hardcore run unless IOI makes it 'No longer possible' again or there are some changes in Freelancer mode.

Strategies for Levels 1 and 2 are the same. The only difference is that Level 2 has the 'Do not get spotted' complication, but it doesn't change anything at all. Level 3 can be sub 40 if you boost from another ledge, without going for the table boost. Earliest time I could shoot speaker to kill him was late 13th second. Sometimes after 2 shots panic he hangs around on his spawn longer and you just lose few seconds. It's called "subdue boost". It's possible to do when you take cover behind some small objects. If you subdue some NPC and turn away from that NPC at the same time, all this animation may interact with object somehow weird and push 47 to the sky.

Hello genP, Have you ever had "campaign failure" on hardcore mode even though you successfully completed the mission? This happened to me several times so I looked into it and apparently it's a problem that has persisted since freelance mode existed. have you ever had this problem?
Yes, I had this problem a few times, but it was a long time ago. I remember it was happening rather often after the Freelancer release, but then after a few patches, I didn't encounter it anymore. I remember it was mostly happening when I had "timed" objectives.

Soooo can you go get them weapons by starting a campaign.. and immediately exit the level without killing any targets? Just to collect weapons? Or do you also have to collect and complete the mission?
Yes, you can collect weapons from the mission and exit without completing it. But if it's alerted map then you will fail campaign.

Most of the tricks I used in this video have their guides/tutorials. Only the subdue boost doesn't have one, but to be honest, it's very niche and there aren't a lot of consistent spots to use it.

incredible run, loved seeing all of the niche tech that isn't used by campaign speedruns getting used here. Do you just take the el matador to cause npcs to move around like at 26:24 in new york, or is there some other reason?
Thank you! I bring el matador mostly because it's the only unsilenced epic pistol and there is a prestige objective about it. Also it's good to just shoot your way through a lot of guards sometimes when you are in deep troubles 😅

@@inteam5 100 кампаний есть на основном аккаунте Epic, а это я гриндил на Пикоке, здесь может 3-4 кампании всего завершил. Престиж я раза 3 сделал, а потом надубликатил оружие и закрыл ачивку)
