    If the four toggle switches work a
    like a king of tone, both down on either side is clean boost. first one up second one down is overdrive. first one down. Second one up is the distortion.

    Awesome video! The pedal sounds great. Interesting that the Joyo infront of the dream 65 yielded those tones. I use a king of tone infront of a 78 Deluxe Reverb with a strat and it sounds great. The KoT brings back some mids, especially when stacked. It always fits well with my setup

    • @SuperdangerStudios
      @SuperdangerStudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was surprised too. I think the headroom on the dream is really low even at its lowest gain setting and the drive inherent in the pedal gets really muddy when used with a distortion pedal. The King of Kings sounds great in front of my blues jr. so maybe its just the pedal. Cheers!

    In the king of tone circuit there are 2 sets of clipping diodes. One in the soft clipping loop of the op amp, and one after the op amp which makes it hard clipping. The switches are turning those clipping diodes on or off. Or, more accurately, the off setting is bypassing the clipping diodes so you're only getting op amp overdrive.

    I have a lot of Joyo pedals, and this is the only one I didn’t like and got rid of. My main gripe was the volume knobs on mine had to be 75% to be the same volume as the bypassed signal. In other words, the first 3/4 of the volume knobs for mine dropped my volume, therefore weren’t useful to me. I don’t think you’re having the same issue, so it may have been just the one I had. 🤷🏽 Either way, the other dozen Joyo pedals I have are fantastic!

    I bought one after many reviews. I don't like it. I use it on a twin reverb with different style guitars but can't find an enjoyable "tone". It sucks the quality out of my signal to a very narrow, shallow tone. The drive is meh too.
    When I hit the twin a Nobels mini it moves the ground and really rocks. That joyo does the opposite. The signal becomes flat/shallow/weak.
    Also the switcht to clipping 2 sucks volume down.
    Not my pedal on my twin reverb.

    I like that you mentioned "blasphemous" because there is only one King of Kings ☝️, i really liked on what you said about Joyo giving you the pedal. So many TH-camrs sound like they've been given dirty money when they are explaining "yes i was given this but I'm going to give you my honest opinion, for real I'm not lying 🙄" 😂😂😂. I would say most of us are adults and like you said we will be able to hear the truth 👍

      Amen! And youre right! I assume all adults can filter out what a pedal could sound like in their rig regardless of the advertising angle! CHeers!

    Wow. I'm not sure I've ever seen a blaspheming guitar pedal before.

    That right side tone in front of a blackface is BEGGING for a tele! Would sound better with some chicken pickin style.

      @@SuperdangerStudios you’ve definitely sold me on the pedal though! I’m a worship guitarist I can’t wait to see what it’ll do with a nice reverb.
