I got disappointed with very minimal improvements in website, e-commerce, email marketing, marketing automation, social media management and many other modules. It seems many modules have maybe one developer assigned to it and some of the modules are totally forgotten about. With this slow pace improvements how can you compete with Shopify, Klavio, etc in the future?
@1ZecaR1 Odoo wants to be one platform offering all business solutions. I can justify using Odoo and have integrated data if each module offers 60-70% features of standard alone solutions (such as shopify for ecommerce or klavio for email marketing). Now what I see is each year those stand alone solutions offer 50 or more features and Odoo enhanced each of its modules by 2 or 3 new features. In this way, it will get way behind those solutions that customers will have to switch to stand alone applications from Odoo. I feel Odoo had more introduction of new features 5 years ago when it had maybe 25% of its current number of employees.
If it will do all the improvements in odoo 18 itself then there is no space for improvements in further versions and also the ones people are using will get a tough space after migrating as they have to learn again as business owners don't want their software to be much of a messy
What would help me really, as an owner of an IT company, is a tool where I can track my contracts with subscriptions from other companies, like odoo, or insurance companies.... Does anyone know how I can do that?
where is the menu of company properties? on odoo 17 and before, there still have that menu, but when i check on odoo 18, its disappear, and the model of ir.property was not found too.
Can Odoo allow an employee to make orders for customers (who cannot collect cash) and another employee to collect cash during one POS session? Kindly assist
We have been using Odoo for 5 months. While some aspects are functional, we have found the financial module to be particularly weak, which has been a challenge for us.
@@JustMeMajd Sure, you compare to other clumsy old softwares from 1990, like PHC, Oracle Netsuite... It's 2024, Odoo is a nightmare to navigate and understand, it is not user friendly or intuitive at all.
When we are handling multiple spaces in business we can't make it simple and if it is simple then also it couldn't be that simple that it could be used by one single person so don't get bother brother it has all things what is needs, ya you can say that it is slow but that is something else problem but it is simple indeed.
Good, but still missing many features like a clear management of warranty traceability of products and the way of commission calculating.
When can the upgrade be done?
They said till end of the year. I assume december

E-commerce should be faster.

Level up your frustration with the worst user interface in the industry!!
How come? There is no easier interface out there

@@jimykx2 I disagree with you, I worked on SAP, Oracle, Zoho and Odoo by far the easiest one as long as you understand how it works
Compared to what software?
@jimykx2 compared to SAP, Oracle, Sales force, Zoho and Bitrex
Awesome
UI is a joke.
Hi
They make it seem simple but it's not. Odoo is not intuitive at all and super frustrating to use.

Yes, you need to be able to count to 10 to use Odoo. For some people this is complicated.
The interface is still as poor and frustrating as it was 10 years ago... #facepalm
