When watching Eddie on stage with a cap at first; the song begins - he looks like a nice, polite schoolboy. Then - the cap flies off and totally different person shows up on stage! I see that transformation every time!
Ahhh! I keep thinking back to these years at the moment, having dreams about these days… when I felt safe. Aged 14 - 17, smoking weed, drinking cider, crushing on Eddie Vedder. No worries, no job, no kids, no Coronavirus.
@@vanessagorman2305 Yeah I'm unable to comprehend how I became 42 years old when my mid to late teenage years only feels like 10 years ago, im quite concerned at what may feel like 5 to 10 years to me, I may be dead or too old to care, feels like someone has held down the fast forward button on my life and it won't stop, probably need to change a few things in my life or take out whoever's pressing fast forward or maybe stop worrying about it as I'm pretty sure I can't slow it down unfortunately, or can I?
@@mrtickle905 Tell me about it, the days quickly turn into months and the months into years. I still feel about 15 whenever I listen to Ten, although sometimes it makes me feel sad that I'm not 15 again. Lockdown hasn't helped. The last 3 months have flown by, but I've absolutely loved spending loads of time with my 8 year old, long walks in the countryside with her, exploring nature, splashing about in streams, camping in the garden, tie-dying... Making beautiful memories that I hope she'll remember forever. I think back to then, before technology took over, we were mindful of every moment, spent time with people rather than wasting time looking at things on Social Media and Netflix binges. When the 'new normal' comes into place I'll be getting rid of social media and attempt to be more mindful and have more fun like we did back then. Minus the getting stoned! Do you remember when we would use a payphone to call our parents to tell them we'd be late home because we were too busy having fun or getting stoned? :)
Is it just me or in almost every taped performance when he sings "the look..you know where", he looks directly into the camera? The only time he does look into it! No words for that "look" he gives us!
Ever since I read this a month or 2 ago I've been thinking about this while watching all their videos lol every time an Alive video came on, I stopped what I was doing and looked at the TV to see if he was looking at me on that part. LOL
He definitely knows how to use eye contact for dramatic effect. Watch the official Jeremy video. He only looks directly at the camera once during a key lyric and man does it make an impact.
Haha I've never seen this one until now, oh my god... i will never get sick of young PJ back in the day, especially our Eddie. They are still my all time favourite band
Can I just say, I was born in 1987 and remember appreciating his music from a young age. I thought he was old looking then. Now at 32, damn he is fine.
It be like that sometimes. I cannot believe how much I loved this song as a child and how much I still love it. And when they finally got it; the energy. Holy moly.
In '92 I saw the epic live show with "the leap of faith" into the crowd at the PinkPop festival from 200 meters away, fan ever since. Played quite a few of their songs in a hobby band many times, still a fan
I saw Pearl Jam for the first time in October, '91. I only saw them because I was bored and a friend had an extra ticket. They played the Michigan State University auditorium and I assumed they were just a band that was trying to hang onto the 80's pop or hair band trash that I absolutely despised! As soon as we sat down I noticed immediately that this concert was going to be different, good or bad! The stage was very understated, no colorful banners, no zebra-print guitars in the shape of a lightning bolt! And then they took the stage!!! Wait!? Where was the over-processed, teased hair? Where was the spandex that was colorful and bright enough to induce seizures? No makeup? And then Eddie began singing!! I knew at that moment that "we" were on the verge of a huge musical explosion! Man, was that an understatement!! It was more than music! It became a way of life and my friends and I were all the way in! It was an awesome time to be young and grunge!
Pearl Jam fan since the beginning, but first time I'm watching live concert footage. Woweeee! Now that's a quality energy filled fucking performance!!!!
Esta es una de mis bandas de culto, era un adolescente cuando aparecieron, crecimos juntos y 26 años después, casado y con hijos... sigo amando su musica...🤘
Written by guitarist Stone Gossard, "Alive" originated as an instrumental titled "Dollar Short" and was included on a demo tape circulated in hopes of finding a singer for the group. Vocalist Eddie Vedder obtained a copy of the tape and wrote lyrics that describe a somewhat fictionalized account of the time when he was told that the man he thought was his father was not actually his biological parent.
Jesus christ, youth is a hell of a thing. Look at this man. He's absolutely gorgeous.

Wow... I'm not a Pearl Jam follower but nobody can't deny, THAT'S REAL ROCK'N'ROLL!
Well, after watch this, I think I became a Pearl Jam follower.!
Me too!
A guy gave me CDs of them around that time and thought they were cross, fast forward 2017 can't get enough of them now, big mistake at the time
Hey man, so join us
That happened to me when I saw then live in ~2010
Never listened to them except on the radio but went on to buy a few cds and love their shit.
It was an amazing performance
I knew it since 1991. Been fav band almost 30years now
I think this is probably the best version of this I've seen after all these years👍👍
When watching Eddie on stage with a cap at first; the song begins - he looks like a nice, polite schoolboy. Then - the cap flies off and totally different person shows up on stage!
I see that transformation every time!
Best version of this song ever! Never take it down
Don’t worry, we won’t
Top demais 😍❤️🎶
Muito amor por Pearl Jam
This was when Eddie was his sexiest.
Hard agree.
No.
Old is more sexiest
I Like him older. Very sexy.
Oh yeahhh!
he is so handsome!
i will always love Pearl Jam! one of the most epic bands ever! still get chills watching them play
Exatamente agora .... 13/12/2019 🇧🇷 um amor chamado Pearl Jam🤘
Damn it never gets old watching Eddie perform this song, and still after over 25 yrs he puts those same emotions into it.
Absolutely phenominal....the talent is mindblowing.
A young Eddie was so good looking though 😍
He was hot!!! 🔥 🔥
He is!
GORGEOUS!!! 🤤🤤🤤
JAX B Young Eddie really reminds me of Bradley Cooper.
n1ko Bradley Cooper followed Eddie on tour before making A Star Is Born
The energy alone i still can not set at ez ,I am 55 yrs old in still jump around when you play , thank you eddy Vedder and pearl jam thank you !!!!!
Man Dave Abbruzzese on the drums doing a phenomenal job as usual
Still makes me mad he didn't get a Rock N Roll Hall of Fame award. He deserves it.
Quay Evano Same here. 2019 and still so disappointing.
He absolutely kills
Agreed, why was he replaced?
Guys, why is nobody talking about how high everybody is in this video!? It's the best part!!! I f love it.
A pleasure listening to Dave's drumming, right tempo, right feel and just such a great flow.
His voice is so amazing, and His vocals are insane. I love it so much! Also, his energy and stage presence is nuts! Hats off to you good sir!
Ahhh! I keep thinking back to these years at the moment, having dreams about these days… when I felt safe. Aged 14 - 17, smoking weed, drinking cider, crushing on Eddie Vedder. No worries, no job, no kids, no Coronavirus.
Same except I was early 20s. Still crushing on Eddie.
Best years ever!
@@Ketannabis If that was sarcasm… funny. :)
Ohhh Eddie im glad you still alive man! And stay alive! We love you man!🤘😎🤟👍
Amo a voz , eles são ótimos, adoro Pearl Jam
У Peart Jam ЭМБИЕНТНАЯ МУЗЫКА !
🌟☀️🌤⛅🌙⛅🌤🇺🇦☝️✌
I went through my 20's in the 90's,and we had some deep long lasting tunes from it.PJ was,and still is a killer group!
2:16 my face when i hear the timer go off for the pizza rolls
im in tears laughing, that comment killed me
but he's gorgeous tho, right?
Man, I wish we still had music like this.
damn the video quality is crazy awesome
eddie vedder has always been one of my favorite vocalists and i believe one of the best in the history of music. he always sounds amazing!
one of my favorite vocalists. His talent and voice are simply amazing.
Instant nostalgia. Brings me back to when I actually cared about this band/life in general. Memories.
Right.....you summed it up great! 😉
There's a black sabbath solo at the end.. lol
5:46
Just like witches at black masses 🎼
iPhone yup I noticed the war pigs reference too
No mames
CV. P.
When hearing that, I felt like "damn, rock guitarists also do the licc"
This is the best version of this song. Change my mind.
LOL
He’s got some intense eyes, man. Donny Jones from My Name Is Earl anyone?
That is so hot
He definitely knows how to use eye contact for dramatic effect. Watch the official Jeremy video. He only looks directly at the camera once during a key lyric and man does it make an impact.
Haha I've never seen this one until now, oh my god... i will never get sick of young PJ back in the day, especially our Eddie. They are still my all time favourite band
Can I just say, I was born in 1987 and remember appreciating his music from a young age. I thought he was old looking then. Now at 32, damn he is fine.
This drummer was the best in Pearl Jam Band!
One of the best vocals of all time
Obrigado por ainda existir! I LOVE YOU PEARL JAM !!!!! GRUNGE VIVE !!!
It be like that sometimes.
I cannot believe how much I loved this song as a child and how much I still love it. And when they finally got it; the energy. Holy moly.
Also, the 90s and dr*gs were lit, apparently.
In '92 I saw the epic live show with "the leap of faith" into the crowd at the PinkPop festival from 200 meters away, fan ever since. Played quite a few of their songs in a hobby band many times, still a fan
Never seen such energy contained in just a tiny little man.
Jarmund right, he’s on fire up there.
Never seen such a small meaning comment in such a large idiot
I’m assuming you’ve never heard of angus young
Jarmund Lmao was this sarcastic?
Too much cocain
You're lucky, i live in a town where nothing ever happens
His arms are so addicting, his facial expressions are perfect❤️ enough about his looks though, Pearl Jam is untouchable.
Sheyenne Lynn Ambrose his arms lmfao
Sheyenne Lynn Ambrose Yes they are.Such a young energetic awesome performer. I love Pearl Jam..
Arms?? Really.
Whatever works...
His arms and those damn eyes
facial expression like a psycopath
How does this NOT have 1 billion views WTF?!?!
yes
Pearl Jam fan since the beginning, but first time I'm watching live concert footage. Woweeee! Now that's a quality energy filled fucking performance!!!!
Esta es una de mis bandas de culto, era un adolescente cuando aparecieron, crecimos juntos y 26 años después, casado y con hijos... sigo amando su musica...🤘
Eu também, melhor grunge
Me gosta murcho bene bene
Toda una generación noventera que jamás pasará de moda.....
The incest part is fiction, the rest is true.
The Best!
