Ubislop had 1 job. Make a decent AC game in Japan with a ninja protag. They could've used Hattori Hanzo who btw was an actual Assassin in AC lore affiliated with the Creed. People would've ate it up. But noooo, they just had to bring in the bbc LGBTHDTV samurai and fucc things up. It's like they're allergic to making lots of money smh.

Issekai is too Japanese for Ubi. Unless BL Issekai exists. Then Ubi might know. Yasuke being in Japan is kind of an Issekai already. He didn't belong in that world.

I don't know why they keep the sword as an object when it's sheathed. That is just asking for trouble. The sword and sheath only need to be separate objects when the sword is out. They're doing it the hard way. Or maybe that is easier but it's going to cause problems.

The Sekigahara Teppoutai banner is still in the game? I thought that got removed instantly. It's crazy to think Ubi's just ghosting them when the solution is as simple as swapping out a texture.
they removed some of the smaller issues, and have note disclosed what was done to the other more egregious parts
they've also told Sekigahara Teppoutai that they can't make changes because of the November release date

I actually started playing Sakuna after you introduced it to us in a previous video. I genuinely enjoy it so much so that it sits as one of my favourite games of all time. I learned a lot about growing rice even as someone who has a background in farming corn and root vegetables. Now whenever I sit down and eat rice, I make it for certain to finish all from not only in my plate/bowl but also in my rice cooker. Thank you for showing me the Way of the Rice 🍚🙇♂️

The reason of the sword keep poking out of the sheath is that they have big struggle with it in For Honor so they just remove the sheath from Samurai faction all together and leave it be. And that game was released in 2016. And after 8 years they still don't know how to fix it in their engine.

In all seriousness, I've thought about the question of the hour: what if they actually did fix things? Ubi delayed long enough to move Yasuke from a playable main character to an important quest giver, with a realized pair of Japanese natives as the MCs, fixed the errors (and removed the IP they are not legally entitled to use...). What then?
Well, obviously, that would take way more time than they currently have, so an additional delay. The second is... I am betting it would actually sell very well: they have, unironicly, put themselves in a position where removing a Black character would almost certainly generate a huge amount of media coverage and attacks from the mainstream, and be such a meme and "victory" among gamers, that it would sell explosively.
I also think there is just about no chance that happens.
*As an actual T (as opposed to just playing one on social media), that "surgery scars" toggle from Veilguard is the actual most pandering bit of fetishization I have ever seen, and probably the final thing needed to cement in the public's view that "diversity" of that type is cover for bad games trying to get good press.

If they did the right thing and fixed everything, absolutely it would do well. Problem is a lot of the problems are within their code in general as well from what we can see lol.
Companies will always do what makes them money, they never actually care about anything they 'represent'
Disney is good proof of this. If these kinds of things had an actually valuable role to play in the game that wasn't just forced, it would be much better received.
Either way, if they break the golden rule of 'make a good game' then they deserve to fail

At this point they should just add an opening clip of Yasuke being a modern day american getting hit by truck-kun making the game 100% isekai.
Current day protagonist is actually a black amputee with Japanese origins, therefore missing DNA (I know it makes no sense), so Animus has to fill the blanks, making stuff up. I should apply for a storywriter position, how am I doing?
I bet the mods that change Yasuke into a Japanese man will be banned due to racism. Just like that mod for GoW Ragnarok changing that black girl into white.
