Am I the only one that wishes they were living in the 50's??? This music is way better than the stuff these days... why can't we have any songs that are irresistible to dance to???... no matter how bad you dance...
I was a teenager in the 50's born in 1941...this was the greatest music...we could actually understand the lyrics...and didn't get in trouble for singing them outloud...this music will live forever...
Gracias. Un teen de los 60.-
my dad was born in 1950 and he is 40 years older than and he is more modern than i am i drive a 1974 nova and a 1957 belair this and 70s rock is all i will listen to because i think the two eras are the best and would of loved to grow up in them
I'M 70. I'M A DJ FOR 47 YEARS. MY SPECIALTY IS OLDIES FROM 50 TO 2000. I SELL LIKE MAD, BECAUSE THIS IS THE MUSIC. EVERYBODY DANCE & SING TO IT. THERE,S NO PARTY LIKE A OLDIE'S PARTY. VIVA LA MUSICA.
GREAT BEING OUT HERE IN THE LATE 50'S!! EARLY 60'S I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE GOING TO JR HIGH SCHOOL!! 1960-1963!! THEN HIGH SCHOOL 1963-1966! THE BEST YEARS LOVED MY LIFE!!! DANCING TO ALL THESE SONGS!
indefinitely: you were obviously born out of time, but you are absolutely right, fortunately because of young people like yourself this music will last forever. you have a wise head on your young shoulders, I can tell you that you will go far. Good luck!
Je to najlepsia hudba 50,60 rokov.ma rychlost aj ritmus kde sa da donekonecna blaznit.nie ako ta dnesna ani hlavu ani petu.spieva sa o hovne.kto taku vraj hudbu pocuva?
well im 12 and i think the world was just... INCREDIBLE in the 50s and 80s they were just so fun, the music, technology and styles were all being renovated in those time periods and just everything was so much more fun and well...groooovy :)
I'm 25 and I have always been obsessed with 50's and 60's music, clothing, cars, and hairstyles. BTW the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is the coolest car EVER!!!
I'm 13. And I love these classics. I think this generation's music is all about the industry. No one cares for a good voice, a good swinging song. I wish this music would come back. We need it. It would give me some hope in humanity. And the dance moves that were used to these songs, they need to come back too. I can't Dougie or do the Jerk, but I sure as hell can do the Jailhouse Rock.
I was a teen in the 50's. I like the music of the 40's and 50's. But, rock and roll is a foreign music to our people. I like the 50's for many reasons. ..less crime. Our neighborhoods were safer...we never locked our doors at night, we left our keys in the car. We could walk blocks to school, without being fearful of drive by shootings. I never heard of drugs.
I don't want to live in the 1950's because of horrible history... but I really do wish we dressed like they did, had little cute fast food shops, and played music like this!! It'll be so beautiful. Just bring back some cute old stuff :) 💓
erikaxo erikaxo Everyone's gotta bring that up like they don't realize this decade doesn't have some shit going on. Hell, almost every damn decade has had some horrible history including this one SMH. Just because gays are being more accepted and women and blacks are being treated more equal, doesn't make it better. Do you people not read the news about the shit that's going down now? The 50s weren't perfect but at least things were made better and they didn't have ghettos on almost every 40 cities and a corrupt President.
I live in that time and I must say it was a good time's next to what see and here today. People like Elvis would play in an open fields and drive in movies was cool. A let not forget lover's lane on friday night. Yes those time's were the best.
MY FAV MUSIC OF ALL TIME IS FROM THE 50's AND 60's!!!! i remember dancing around the jukebox (my grandpa owned a jukebox and pinbal store in Vancouver) and it was amazing! i am only 20 and my son just turned one and is a huuuuuuugggggeeee elvis fan :)
I was a teenager in the sixties but i like the fifties music the most. I had more fifties songs on my eight track player than sixties. I have always liked fast cars and rock and roll music. Makes you stay young longer.
It is really nice to see all these nice comments from the younger generation. I did live the 50's. I was a teen and it was the best generation for music. With you poeple listening, the 50's will live on.........Cool Man.
For all you people that weren't lucky enough to be born in the 40's as some of us were and be there at the start of Rock & Roll I can only say listen to the Poni Tails - Born too Late and Danny & the Juniors - Rock & Roll is Here to Stay. All i'll do now is put another track on my '46, 1016 Wurlitzer and go back in time. Good Jiving!
I was born in the bad era too.... When there is no real music. Just random sounds. Yeah, all of my family was born in bad times. My grandfather in WW2, father at Communism era. And now me, in the modern era. This music will never get old. Love it.
At first i didn't liked all this ( i was dumbass) but in a family journey we hear all the best of the 50's and 60's, i end up amaze by the all scene of that age, the looks, the music, the people, just all. I get passionate so much i start talking to my grandmother, and she tell me that this were the most beautiful years of her life.
I can attest to the 1950s since I grew up then. My first car was a 1948 Ford when I was in High School and later in 1957 I acquired a 1957 Chevy BelAir to drive from my Aunt who bought it new. Much later, I bought a 1955 Chevy on my own and drove it until 1958 when I bought a 1960 Ford. Anyway, I really rue that I did not hold on to those cars I used to own.
I love this music and Elivs is always be the king, he was and still will always be my Idol. The music of the 50's and 60's was awesome. No matter what music you listen to the 50's and 60's will never ever die, I LOVE IT
I remember all these songs I was the youngest of 4 kids..My oldest brother was 10 yrs older than me..He grad. HS in 1953 ..My other brother and sister were 7yrs and 5 yrrs old My sister grad in 58..and I grad HS in 1963...so I went from Patti Page to Buddy Holly to Elvis... and I remember all the songs with fond memories...It is funn My husband was the oldest of 5 children and grad. HS in 1964,,,He remembers some of the songs but it is funny to see the differance ....
I love the 50's music ad I'm 16. I just love 'em so much! It's super amazing, and stuff, I also love the fashion and the style. Hahahah I'm in love with the 50's!
Nice to hear some good old music. I was at school in the 50's and a teen in the 60's. I still like Sinatra, Crosby etc, but our music was best. Todays singers would not even make the top 100,even if you knew what they were singing(?) about
what a 'quaint' era of music thats only great in retrospect. its nice listening to a nice type of music thats older than us, but really people, i wouldve much rather lived thru the music and drug revolution of the 60s and 70s
Everyone seems to remember Elvis on Ed Sullivan more than the Dorseys because Ed was THE show to watch on Sunday nights. It's the way it was in the 1950s and 1960s. I still remember the Beatles' debut on Feb. 9, 1964. "A really big shew"
I was born in 1995 but i like to think of myself as a product of the 50s! iv always loved this music, style, cars and attitude. My friends dont get it but idc! they will live their lives without this awesome music!
@IndefinitelyBi I am 43 years old, born in 1967. I often wished the same thing. We would have had to be born in the 40s to be able to enjoy the 50s, but I think that's where I would have had the best times! The only negative. . .if we were born in the 1940s, we'd be in our 60s or 70s now!

Reminds me of recently I went to a house to fix their heating, and they had just bought their daughter for her 18th birthday a reconditioned Wurlitzer juke box full of '50s 45's. I was drooling over it, so they gave me some sixpences to put in and play a few. Oooh loverlee!
the music of the fifties was above all fun to listen to or sing or dance to and dont we just all need some of that whatever our age! bring it back, so todays teenagers can enjoy it too....
Fonzie said it best on Happy Days when he reiterated "I wish it could be 1955 forever!" I remember those great days. There was more order and structure back then. Yes, we had problems in the '50s but they seem tame to today's goings on. Great music played by real artists with real instruments. I remember Elvis's first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1956.
I used to feel this way too. But then I realized being born when I was I get ALL of this music available to me without having to wait for it to come out. Plus the benefit of hearing some new music which isn't all bad.
I was lucky and was there for the early and beginning of Rock and roll. The dirty bop and the rest. turned up collars and the Fonzie style look. Would not trate for a millions dollars
This is such good memories of when i use to go with my friends to the rock n roll dances on a saturday night, all the guys dressed in blue and black and yellow long jackets and black trousers and us with our frilled out skirts, they called them teddy boys, it was brilliant, nothing like it today
Rock n' Roll hit the UK when the film "Blackboard Jungle" was screened IN 1955. Because of the film and the reaction of the teenagers in the UK, another film was rushed out; "Rock around the Clock", the film was rubbish but the music was like nothing we had heard before. It was fantastic! Speaking as a teenager of that time Bill Haley was the KING. Now I will admit all the girls went for Elvis but not the guys, they stayed loyal to Bill Haley. Don't believe me? Ask a Teddy Boy! ;o))
Lol I was born in 95, but i sure this i was born in the 40's so I could enjoy this music on every radio channel, Im a victim of wrong generation
How's time treating you my friend?
I am now sixty eight years old. Do I like this music, 'You bet I do'. Rock and Roll..
Gracias. Un teen de los 60.-

I'm 25 and I have always been obsessed with 50's and 60's music, clothing, cars, and hairstyles. BTW the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is the coolest car EVER!!!
Why do I feel nostalgia for this time period when I was born in 97 :(
I was born in 98 and i get nostalgic for the 1920s, so don't feel bad
@@adamnomdeplum3 play music from ancient times and ill still get a nostalgic feeling.

The cars as well omg they are beautiful better looking cars than todays. 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is my favourite.
back then we didn't have a lot of the severe social problems we do now
As long as you were a white non gay male you were fine

there was a real good quality of life back then,[thats probably why the songs were so great] , i wish i was alive back then.

As a very young adult, I am appalled at this generation's new music. We need more of the 50's.
Thanks for the memories. God bless.
This is my kind of music! I didnt know there were other people who shard my taste in music! IM SO HAPPY!
I'm in my 30's and i love 50's music, my grandma often talk about life in the 50's and i love to listen to her =]
Thank god sattelite radio has a channel for the 50's otherwise I'd go nuts!!
too bad i wasn't born in the 40's because when i got to the 50's i would be old enough and i would rock out and it will be great! XD
This is a wonderful rock and roll mix! I love the '50's and the USA!

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a town made for people of this era or earlier
Brian Negrete there are, they call them old folks homes.

the 1950s was awsome wish i had a suit and hat from that era !
I'm 15 and even I wish it were back, the music, the fashion, argh- bliss!
1977 NEW YEARS EVE AT THE PONTIAC STADIUM I SAW ELVIS WHAT A NIGHT HE WAS AMAZING SURE MISS THE OLD DAYS WHEN MUSIC WAS AMAZING
@Heather Brown. Elvis performed at the Pontiac Silverdome on New Years eve in 1975. It couldn't have been 1977, he had already passed away by that stage. Anyway, you're very lucky to have attended one of his concerts. I was 7 when he died, I would've loved to have seen him live.
this is the type of music that made the rebellious era of the 60s and 70s possible
Reminds me of recently I went to a house to fix their heating, and they had just bought their daughter for her 18th birthday a reconditioned Wurlitzer juke box full of '50s 45's. I was drooling over it, so they gave me some sixpences to put in and play a few. Oooh loverlee!
Beautiful!
I love this era of music!! Being born in 1992 I think I missed out :(
very few current songs will be remembered 50 years from now!!
ohh makes me feel so so young lol eventhos isn`t old enough to listen to them in the 50`
