I never listen to todays music so decided to look up oldies here. Love the music from the 50's and 60's. There will never be a better era for good music.
I’m only 13 and these oldies always put a smile on my face with the rhythm and the lyrics, man I was born in the wrong generation today’s music I don’t understand what these “artists” are even saying but these oldies give me a good vibe GOD BLESS OLDIES
I was born in the 60's but this is what I was raised on and still my favorites as well as my daughter and granddaughter's. on behalf of all of us THANK YOU.
Its crazy how family influences the music you listen too... Im 16 and when i was little my grandpa would sit in the garage and just listen to oldies all day and i would be with him. Brings back great memories!
I was a teenager during the "oldies and goodies" time, and believe, I am so glad I grew up during this era. Music was music back then with harmony and great singers. this is "special" to me as well, I was raised near Mason City IA where Buddy Holly played at the surf. also, I knew the pilot who managed the municipal airport. it was his plane that went down carrying the singers. that haunted him until his death this past January. just wanted to share how close I am to this music. thank you for giving us all these great songs. I really appreciate it.
I'm depressed and heartbroken. This music makes me miss my dad. He passed away in 89'. I was 14 and he was 38. This music brings tears to my eyes. This music is great to sing along with. This is the type of music you know all the words to.
Such memories....sitting in the back of my dad's 1961 Chevy Impala convertible listening to these songs. And going to the Drive-In's with the top down on those hot summer nights. Sure miss those day's.
This was a time when the music and the lyrics both promoted a loving and soothing atmosphere where a girl and a boy became friends,a boy and a girl became lovers and this music became a staple of their lives and memories.
i love oldies, i live in the past. family and friends say its not good to live in the past, but that is where i feel the happiest. go oldies music, cars, etc
This music came from a time when life was simple, easy, and calm. I was a teen in the sixties and I enjoyed all of this music. I raised my children on it and they love it. That was when music was music, people fell in love to this music and you can't help but feel at ease and in a comfort zone when listening. I love the videos with the lyrics because I can sing along and not mess up some words (lol). Love it, love it, love it...
I was born May 4,1963 so I grew up listening to this enjoyable music that will still rock on!!! Now in beginning of 2021 as I’m nearing being 58 years of age I’ll be still enjoying this wonderful music🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵👏👏👏🥳🤩🥰that will continue on to listen and enjoy always 😁🤗☺️🌈☀️😄😉🌺💞🌹🌼🌸💓❤️👍👍👍🎵🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶!!!
I can remember back to 4 years old and this is all the music my Mama played all the time..I know all the Motown and Oldies by heart and now my kids (grown) do too.. I love this music, thanks for putting this together,,My man and me loved dancing to this...
Thanks MMP! Tons of nostalgia coming my way. I grew up in East LA and Thee Midnighters used to practice down the street, heard them while they were still 'unknowns!' Great pics. GodBless
The 50's and early 60's....what an era...music that will never be duplicated..music that said something...told a story..words you could understand...music that you and your girl could romance to...wish I could go back....
No internet, no mainstream media, no way for evil to reach us so easily. Life was so much sweeter and I was an 80s baby. Appreciate this type of music more and more as I get older.
Everyone i see here in the comments are from different generations rather they be from these old but good times or this current generation and honestly it's very beautiful seeing many people from many different time eras enjoying the same music. This kinda music isn't forgetten or killed by time because us the people keep it alive.
I absolutely love these!! The best thing about these songs are that I’ve never heard of them before so they are new to me. I am such a huge fan of the oldies!!! all of the songs have a special place in my heart but there’s only one song that I loved the most. The song is called one summer night!!
I still listen to all the oldies. I am 74 yrs old and I remember them since 1952. In those days they werent called oldies, they were records that we loved and bought. L:A Dolphins of Hollywood, Rosalyn Records on 5 and Main and of course Wallaces music city on Sunset and Vine in Hollwood.
i listen to all genres of music...but i love the oldies the best and im 13 years old. Todays music will never top all these soulful voices. THIS IS REAL MUSIC!!!
The best time of my life My late husband n I often got lost in our little world with this music. We fell in love listening to this music Got married had our kids with this music n he died listening to this music. I now listen by myself to this music. I know what you mean, I wish for just a few days I could be 14 again and then 15 and 16. Love these oldies. Had such a fun time growing up in SanFrancisco.
Thanks for sharing. I listened to the whole thing, and a song you had on here from James Brown called "Try Me" was very good. It's the first time that I've ever heard it.
I just love the music. I don't care about what the times were like when these songs came out. One could argue that things are worse in other ways now. In the meantime, let's all just sit back, and enjoy great music.
Thank You it is just what I needed to hear , my Aunt passed on 10/21/13 and every song on here she used to play while getting ready to go out !we say our final good byes on 11/16 and we will be playing oldies for her to get ready to get thru the gates ! thank you again for the walk down memory lane
wow! I remember when the TOPS came out in 1964. Levi Stubbs was so kool! The other day I heard "Mighty Love" by the Spinners on the radio. It MADE ME SO HAPPY. I felt like a kid again!. Music is so under-rated as a mood lifter.
Beautiful. Thanks so much for taking the time putting this awesome group of songs together. I haven't heard some of these songs in many years. Awesome.
I was born in 1992 and I swear I was meant to be born in the 50's! This is the music that I will choose over any other kind! This music actually has meaning and can cheer you up, unlike the new music that constantly having cuss words, talks about women as b**ches and talks about drugs. I love the Art Laboe stations, listen to them EVERY night =)
I was born in the early 80's but I cannot resist oldies. I listen to all sorts of genres, but if a good oldie comes on the radio in the car, then it gets turned up, and if everyone in the car is smart, then they just quiet down and enjoy the ride...
From an old vato these are some great rolas just to chill on a sunday with the hina right next, reminds me of the great cruisin' days on Whittier Blvd and La Puente.
I listen to this music 'cause I grew up it. Can't even listen to it on the radio anymore as it is just too old. The oldest played songs are from 1965 = gee I was 14 in '65. So thank you for uploading ;-)

I feel so blessed to have been a teenager during this rock n' roll era of 50's and 60's. Best music ever! Still loving it over everything else now. If you love this era, try listening also to the folk music of the 60's era also, e.g., Monday Morning by Mamas and Papas. Great Harmonizing.
