I love that torches are a legitimate weapon class. It gives off the same vibe as people torking the hell out of the fork in skyrim, except this time it's something they actually expected you to do
Just a heads-up, the unique properties of the Beast Repellent and Sentry's torches work when the torch is on your back. So you can two-hand your main weapon and still get the benefits
Sentry's Torch can be really strong because you can use the Last Rites AoW of the Golden Epitath to buff its Holy damage among other buffs. GigasThiccas made a video demonstrating a fully buffed Sentry's Torch in PvP and he was destroying people with it. You just need an opponent that lets you buff
We must study under the Wandering Nobles to learn there Torch Martial Art, also the Fallen Hawk Soldiers with the Ghostflame torch get hyper armor attacking with it (not much but it’s some) I feel at least the “torch attack” move should have some poise
Frost torch and fire torch combo can be op since you can frost bite than hit them with fire damage to instantly reset frost built up and than frost bite them again, practically turning it into bleed. Edit: also I’m pretty sure players that gets slept also looses chunk of their FP
I use torches dual wielding them with swords while exploring caves and dungeons. They disable main weapons ash of war, but regular ones allow to "stab", which works really well against most enemies found there, and the fire breath one is awesome to clear out lots of weaker annoying enemies in tight spaces. All three fire torches are a weapon of choice for fighting miners. They are great
In DS3 I had some success by using the Follower's Torch in my off hand and a Whip as my main, try pairing it with a whip, it's fun even if it isn't the best pairing (:
There is 9 other category left apart from main categories which is 3 Bows category,Crossbows,Ballistas,Glintstone staffs,Sacred seals and Tools that have 4 damaging item(Wraith calling bell,Omen bairn,Regal omen bairn,Ancestral infant's head) and there is shileds too if you count
Btw monk if someone has a flail with spinning chain Trying to backstep out of the ash they are trying to chainsaw don't let them breathe if they mess up

They could have just ported the Torch Mace from DS3 and called it a day on steel wire. HOW did they manage to make it just worse?? Also ghostlflame torch NOT having a ghostflame version of the flame spray is so dumb it seems accidental, like they legitimately lost the file or forgot to implement it

Firebreather is best used unlocked so you can turn the breath towards the enemy.
Funny thing about the first St Trina's Torch fight. Dude pulled out a rift shield. Increasing your resistance to sleep, frenzied, and cursed!
