MONK VIDEO! >:) not to be "that" guy but im doing a spear only playthrough and would love to see a regular spear video since i saw you did the great spears
thank you so much! :) i've been loving this weapons series. maybe you can do a similar one for sorceries and incantations since theres different groups? i feel like that would be a pain but always an idea if youre ever feeling extra bored and want to show the worst sorceries in the game lol@@monkwashere
And instead of having Knowledge Above All as its weapon art, the L2 button should be able to be used for casting both sorceries and incantations. As for Knowledge Above All, I’d turn it into a sorcery or incantation you can get from defeating Gideon
@niall_sanderson that'd definitely work if catalysts were a thing in elden ring. I hopebthey bring them back in the dlc, that'd be sick. But they most likely won't 😭
About the warpick: back in the day it did in fact so strike damage, but that was a mistake. It should do pierce damage nowadays, according to patch notes, but they never updated the weapon info
Fun Fact about the mace, its one of the few things outside of Colossals that gets 1 handed hyper armor. The goofy heavy attacks still have it when 1 handing. Also the Warpick isn't the only hammer that does pierce , all the unique Morning Star moves do pierce as well.
The Mace has 1 handed hyperarmor huh? I have been trying to figure out what makes it worth using. It had to be something. That is really cool. I am gonna have to try it out
@@TheVeiledMonarch All of its unique moves deal Pierce, you can see it by hitting the miners in caves. They're weak to strike and resist everything else. You'll do full damage with a standing R1 but will deal significantly less damage when using a crouch R1 or running heavy.
Man, the gold/black design of the warpick looks so nice. I really wish they just made it a regular hammer with that look. The lack of refined looking hammers is one of my few gripes with the game.
5:19 That is the Dragon Towershield, from a pretty out of the way chest in Farum Azula. And that madlad Tarkus cosplayer is literally the first time seen someone using that in pvp.
For ease of acquisition and ease of use, I'd go with the Morning Star. It wreaks havoc with the Chrystalian bosses! I usually put Flame of the Redmanes on it.
I think Iron Tarkus was using the Manor Greatshield, in case anyone was curious. It can be found in Stormveil in the area with nobles on the way down to the Godwyn corpse.
Yeah they're good for when you want to invest heavily into faith because they have low requirements. Get the mace and put sacred blade on it or prayerful strike. The R2s are cool too.@@Anakthemutantmassenjoyer
nox flowing hammer is the best hammer in teh game and is my go to weapon for pvp and some times pve its so fun to use. its got decent range for a hammer, great scaling, hits like a truck, and the ash of war is good for hitting multiple people at once. jsut gotta be a careful with it as if they dodge the ash of war your kind of a sitting duck for a second.
DS1 Warpick is nuts, I have a 16str 13dex 40int build on NG+6 and I always use a +15 Warpick on the DLC bosses because of their stupid elemental damage resistance, it melts Manus with basically no proper stat investment.
I'm on my 4th playthrough doing melee only for all the bosses, and along with 2 curved swords I've also been usng the Mornng Star. Actually learning to dodge everymove and when to attack has been so rewarding, and I certainly would say the Morning Star is a simple but reliable weapon
Not gonna lie, I went throughout almost the entire game with just the spiked bat and let me tell you; there was nothing funnier than slapping lions claw on it and bonking my way through everything I came across, with a few exceptions
@borisdragosani7584 beleive me, I have been for months now lmao, the St. Trina's Torch represents abundance, and dreams come true, we must share this torch and pester him together💜
Spiked clubs a favorite. I like doing "apocalyptic survivor" builds and it's a perfect weapon in both looks and moveset, though I do miss the nail bat look of the reinforced club a lot
Weird and fun fact about Knowledge Above All: the game treats it like a projectile, meaning some bosses will animation read it. I used it to bait Malenia's Waterfowl to pretty decent effect.
The morning star is my favorite weapon both in the Souls games and in real life. Swords are cool and all, but nothing beats a good, old fashioned bludgeon. Kinda wish it had A scaling with heavy on it, though...
the single problem with Prayerful Strike is actually just hit "jitter". Its hitbox is relatively small, and the disjointing effect of getting hit throws off its aim even if you poise through it.
Actually the standard maces unique R2 has great weapon class hyper armour even while one handed it's great to use it with a off hand weapon because no one will expect you to be able to trade with a great weapons
Morning Star with Sacred Blade may be the combination I used in the most playthroughs at one point or the other. And for a low level invasion playthrough that thing with Poisonous Mist is viable for a long time at +3. Combine it with a Bleed Repeating Thrust Antspur and you got a stew going! Nothing beats a bouquet of flowers hitting the floor with a chunky sound, of course! (We need a flower weapon with a Scarlet Rot-pooping Ash of War, come on From Soft! Also a weapon version of one of those exploding poison sacks that would turn us into a self-damaging walking bomb when we are poisoned)
Honestly, playing with the Envoy's horn myself, the best use for the ash of war is to blow 1-2 bubbles then become aggressive, the opponent almost always forgets how good the bubbles can track
Something that I've got to say can be pretty funny in pickaxe or anchor set to whatever gives you the most physical damage and set the ash to prayerful strike. Basically just auto win every trade to a comical degree.
I’ve made it all the way from ng+ to ng+6 with Marika’s Hammer. I did use Bloodhound Fang for certain bosses that are resistant to holy damage. Especially the end boss.
Marika’s Hammer is my favorite, I’m currently doing a fai/str build with it as the weapon. With certain buffs I’m getting close to 2k damage from the skill
Can we just appreciate how dedicated he is for each video between farming some weapons, try them out and every new game cycles he did just to make them max level because of the limitation of (somber) dragon smithing stones/ larva tears
This is the knight slayer set, in reality it's a Frankenstein set but it draws inspiration from Black Iron Tarkus of ds1 and Knight Slayer Tsorig of ds3. The sheild is the inverted hawk tower sheild.
Can’t wait to see the great hammers. Envoys horn may not be good but envoys long horn is incredible in pve. Any large enemie is destroyed. Can’t imagine it being anything incredible in pvp however.
before watching your video i was planning on making a Goblin Slayer build which also includes the wood club with the barbaric roar and man, it looks better than I expected
Honestly the only hammers I've liked is the dual rotten hammers. One with cold affinity and one with rot affinity and use lions claw as the main ash of war, get the procs off then lion claw for huge damage
Honestly I love the great bubble horn. The small bubble horn isnt that good though. It's fun bubble showering people to death. People will always underestimate the power of a rain of bubbles, and if you catch them close and hit all of the bubbles, it melts people.
There is 2 category left to examine they are: Great hammers and Spears(i didn't mention 10 other category which is 3 Bows category,Crossbows,Ballistas,Glintstone staffs,Sacred seals,Torchs and Tools that have 4 damaging item(Wraith calling bell,Omen bairn,Regal omen bairn,Ancestral infant's head) and there is shileds too if you count
Does anyone know what armor was work but the first opponent of the spiked club? The clearest view of it without the lock-on blocking most of it was at 7:42 for anyone needing a time stamp.
Mace, Morning Star and War Pick are three of my favorite Dark Souls weapons. Unfortunately, the Mace and War Pick are heavily nerfed in Elden Ring. The War Pick in particular is just garbage, being low damage, very short and not piercing.
