About Gyeon, I just buffed my boat gel coat and coated it with Gyeon Pure. The shine is outstanding. You read my mind! This vs CarPro Essence vs Tac system Total One Essential vs Xtreme Solutions LVR403 vs TURTLE WAX HYBRID SOLUTIONS CERAMIC POLISH & WAX
@@paulgyro I thought Tac Systems temporarily closed down. I personally just used LVR403, it makes a good finish polish for black or dark colored vehicles. I imagine the Turtle Wax is great for what it is. If you are going for show car quality you are stuck with Gyeon or Carpro. Xtreme Solutions has a product call helios for white or light colored vehicles. I think if I was going to lay down a ceramic coating like CSL I would do the Gyeon. Use the LVR for non ceramic type of protection. Use TW Hybrid Solution as its family of TW products or maybe even Meguiars Liquid hybrid wax. I could be wrong.

Great Video Brian and THANK YOU for posting! Can you help me understand how to obtain better “Clarity” in my finish? I have a 2018 Toyota Tundra magnetic gray color with no swirl marks what so ever, I invested in a panel light and I try to find swirls and there just aren’t any. But I wanted to take the paint to another level of gloss. I washed, clayed, and then used McKee’s 37 360 all-in-one with orange CCS Lake Country foam pads, set at speed 4 on my Maxshine M15 pro series ll polisher, using moderate arm speed with two passes using the cross hatch pattern. This was my very first time ever polishing, and it was a great experience, had a ton of fun doing it. The gloss is very nice, I can see my reflection pretty well, but it still seems some what of a “blurry” like glossy image, not real crisp, like it could have more “clarity” to it. For my next go around, what could I change in my arsenal to get better clarity in the finish? Thx again!

Wouldn't it be a bad idea to put a ceramic coating over a weaker ceramic product? Folks have always said put the most durable product down first to give it the best possible contact, not that I agree with this but more interested in your thoughts. I've always felt it didn't matter and liked to put on a carnuba based wax first, followed by a good sealant in order to offer more protection and extent the life of the carnuba under it. Apples, and oranges to a degree but the idea is more or less the same. Folks enjoy saying the carnuba will fail faster and as it does it would compromise the sealant on top of it accelerating the failure. I feel the sealant should be able to protect the carnuba based wax under it (since it's goal is to protect the paint and block UV) if it's strong enough to protect the paint from environmental exposure it should should suggest the same for a wax underneath. Which ultimately offers a higher level of protection, and water characteristics on the outside layer, protecting the added gloss from carnuba longer.
Think of it like building a foundation for a home. Would you build the foundation out of wood and then build a concrete house on top of it? The concrete is stronger but it will compromise the wood foundation
