Please advise if India has done right by purchasing five S-400 systems to protect our skies, inview of the systems being attacked in Russia/Ukraine war and elsewhere.
The IA & IAF put together have 138 Regts, Squadrons & Indep units of Air Defence of which 4 are S-400 Sqns (1.5 sqns are YTA). So S-400 is a minute part of overall AD. I haven't even counted the Naval AD Units which would take care of Threats coming from sea. S-400 are a good sys and will serve our Forces well. More AD units are being raised with other sys as well.
