I mostly go infinite on accident. Like when I had 2 All for Ones that happened to be 0 cost because Snecko randomly decided they were.

Only time I did was a God run. When you play a power make a card free had shuriken and shiv build had 3 1000 cuts 3 accuracy 2 after image 2 endless blades and 1 of the one that adds poison on unblocked damage. Plenty of draw and ever card exhausted added a card to my hand. 5 energy and coud cycle deck 3 times first turn.
Every infinite run I've had (two) have run into Time Lord.
I'm past ascension 10 on all characters and i don't remember ever going infinite

I wonder if there is a really good colorless character mod where your character is just built around colorless could be cool.
You'd probably have to do something to either add more colorless cards or somehow grab cards from other colors, because there's simply not a lot of damage options available in the colorless cards.

@@joshuamartinez6722 potentially, yeah. Though violence only draws attacks rather creates them. It would be a very rough start before you got those cards.
I had an A20 Defect run where Neow gave me Metamorphosis and it steamrolled act 3 because I also got AFO, Madnesses from winding halls, and multiple Holograms. It was a really fun deck because it was the one run I've had where Reprogram was actually really good Defect scaling. I still died in act 4 though
I'm glad you looked at the cards created by other cards when looking at beta art, because Live Forever is literally my favorite beta art in the entire game

Three Coolheaded+ + Forethought+ + Blizzard is a pretty cool infinite. Turn 1, use Forethought on 2 Coolheaded, then use your last Coolheaded to draw two free Coolheaded. Use one of the free Coolheaded to draw the Coolheaded you just used and the Forethought again, then use Forethought on the two not-free Coolheaded, use the last free Coolheaded to redraw two free Coolheaded, one of which you use immediately to get the Forethought and Coolheaded back, then rinse and repeat entirely for free until you have 500 block and your Blizzard is one-shotting everything. That run was hilarious
I had one good Sadistic Nature run after it got buffed with the Ironclad and the Champion's Belt (another very low tier Relic). Turned the Thunderclaps into Immolates basically. It was a fun run but literally the only one I ever used it effectively.
In defense of sadistic nature, it works not only with posion but also with weakened and vulnerable (which are often on common card for the watcher and the ironclad). It's still a C tier card at best and probably not worth a buy in a shop but in act 1 and 2 it can help with some annoying fights like birds or gremlins (since it's +5 strength to cards with any debuff)
I'm now realizing I never knew what Discovery's upgrade was, I have probably like 500+ hours in the game across several devices
Once I got bottled apotheosis+. Sadly, that was my first time fighting donu and deca. I died with innate apotheosis+ like a gamer
Magnetism beta art looks like the devs wanted to put magneto in it, but got into legal copyright trouble so they just made a guy with a magnet on his face.
Panache better be s tier
37:30 D tier makes sense for Sadistic Nature - I only ever like it when I'm ironclad, I took a punt on an early shockwave and/or uppercut but don't have enough damage to use the vulnerable, and the shop has 5 utility class cards and I need damage to get through the next 3-5 fights.
Or I guess tesseract event in the defect powers deck

The madness card is useful if upgraded because it then costs 0 so it's basically free actions.

I think it’s a bit unfair to rate Finesse and Flash of Steel so low because of their low value. The simple fact that they are essentially a “free” card in the deck that can scale with dex/str is incredible in builds which scale them, especially with Kunai and Shuriken. Sure, they’re not as good initially against the Heart or Time Eater, but if you’re taking these cards then it probably means that in a few turns it’s like 10 literally free block or damage, which is not an insubstantial amount (and Flash of Steel gets you closer to Kunai/Shuriken procc)

The 0 cost "draw one" cards add so much consistency to few cards deck. The effect is in the worst scenario add ((1/sizeOfDeck)*100) consistency% with no drawback

The thing is though if you draw finesse/flash of steel if you just hadn't added them to the deck you would draw the card you're looking for instead. The best use for them is going infinite or with relics that can scale with them or the odd bird where flash can be the difference between making it lose flight or it remaining airborne. If you have nothing that help them scale or scale off them I wouldn't buy them usually unless it's to setup an infinite later as they can be a big liability on timeeater.

I got bludgeon from neow and a really early forethought that allowed me to play it alot more so that's a scenario in which forethought is good

I am very late, but Beta's beta art is actually a reference to how real beta cards looked.
If you played the Defect before he was finished, most cards would look exactly like Beta's beta art. The only difference is that they would spell out Beta instead of using the Beta symbol.

In what world Bandage up can be F, when it's an exhaust card, that gives up permenant HP heal, cost 0. You'll always be able to heal up or most fight then boom it's no more in the draw pool.
Against a boss I can understand, but it can literally saves a run specially with anti-rest relic or other situations

the secret technique beta art is a reference to Regular Show's martial arts episode. in that episode, mordekai and rigby steal some secret techniques from a book of martial arts, and that is the book in the beta art. i dont know why is it in korean lol

Two bosses one of which is mandatory for an actual win. So yeah, it’s pretty important to factor that in, you could drop time eater as a worry and only say the heart, and the card would still be bad.
Sadistic Nature deck: Ironclad with a couple of uppercuts and a couple of shockwaves. Didn’t carry the deck, but dealing between 20 and 100 dmg (depending on the act) per fight for a 0 cost card was pretty dang good. Added up to 14 dmg to both of the aforementioned cards

The thing about bandage up, is that your HP is resource, so if you have lost six hit points, and pull it, what are going to take damage anyways, it becomes a defend, not a heel
When is started playing I thought discovery was the most broken card
Also mayhem can kill you through fairy in a bottle in the heart fight so I'm never taking it again

i think ritual dagger should be a little lower maybe high or mid a tier. simply because of how hard it is to be new at the game and be focusing so hard on increasing its damage you only use it as a finisher card instead of the boss health chunk remover it can be.
That's almost always the correct way to use it though? Why would you use Dagger in most boss fights if it's not ending the fight?
Dramatic Entrance beta art is 1000% the merchant, not the defect
The only thing I can say about the madness one is it reminds me of the Nietzsche quote about staring into the darkness and it staring back, which makes me like it, but that might just be me being a nerd
I hope there is a tier list from all classes and colorless cards of just beta arts.
Upgraded forthoughts may be good in Ironclad runic pyramid deck, when you don't have any space in your hand

I'm thinking it's because the most common way of picking it up is from the shop
There's a handful of reasons for that, I think. The first is just the health you get is notably more - which feels even better combined with amplify or Echo form.
And I think the other aspect is just that the defect sometimes wants powers really bad, like if you have storm and/or Heatsinks, you'd take even a power that does nothing as long as it's cheap.

Another way to think of it is bandage up is 4 block for 0 energy that doesnt scale with dexterity that also exhausts, its just not great power for the draw cost, and repair has almost double the power of it, so the draw cost is a lot better

I wish the bite event was changed so on the ascention that makes events worse it was lose all strikes gain 3 bites. I think that would be worth it a lot more times

Mayhem playing Hand of Greed isn't a bad combo. It's free damage (which gets you money if it kills something) and let's you know you have Hand of Greed on the top of your deck for next turn or if you draw.

Forethought can only really work in a deck where you have runic pyramid or a crazy amount of card draw....
Literally the only time it worked for me was in a Packmaster Run that had Flow and Resevoir as well as the pyramid :D. Flowed an entire hand of cards and redrew new ones, played the ones I could that turn, then shifted all the good ones back into the deck to draw next turn as 0-cost ones
The video and Tier List were all nice and peaceful, but then 39:44 happened...

A certain other spiretuber named Transmutation as his favorite rare colorless, but i haven't been able to get good use out of it. I'd say D but basically going with Frost here
I think Bandage is C tier its cheaper and faster than self repair
1 energy for -3/-4 healing is a trade I can accept
Tbh if self repair is too slow then you're probably in some really dire straits that bandage up won't solve anyway

Not gonna lie…for like a whole year, I thought Forethought and the Silent’s Setup had the same mechanics or were the same card, so i never took setup. I was always like “that card is ass, why would the Silent find it useful?”

That card IS ass, just not as ass as Forethought
Setup used to be similar, it put the card at the bottom of your deck instead of the top.
Setup honestly isn't horrible if you have excess draw or Runic Pyramid, both of which are highly valued in most average Silent runs. It's just not a useful act 1-2 card
Yeah top of the draw pile is far more useful than bottom. Synergizes well with all the carddraw options Silent has. The only thing forethought works better with is grand finale, but with that card you're just better off with well-laid plans to retain the finale until its condition is met.
The horrible catch 22 of Jack of all Trades is that the higher you put it on the tier list the more worse cards there are below it dragging down it’s consistency. If the card was at top of S tier you’d have to drop it down because there is only one card in the pool that is as good as it to get off of it.
sadistic is free and does good supplimenary damage with a debuff set you are mental lad. It isn't flashy but it gets work done for no cost. Going without it for a poison build or any debuff heavy deck is asking your landlord to raise your rent.
If my damage is scaling well with poison then why would I care about having sadistic nature?

I was thinking about jack of all trades because I remember it giving me 0 cost cards a lot and it made my deck OP. Then I remembered I just had Master Reality so it made everything 0 cost and it was insane.

I think it might be a reference to the Conan the Barbarian movie with Arnold Schwartzenegger. Conan and his crew are hired by a king who explains that his daughter tried to kill him because of the cult she's in and he shows them the dagger she tried to kill him with. The ritual dagger has a similar design to that dagger, minus the snake aesthetic that it had in the movie.
People who say "Finesse is free" are the same people who refuse to adapt a shiv deck when time eater is the boss and then cry immediately after being ratioed.

Frost why is Trip only A tier? On Ironclad you put Bash into S because it applies 2 vulnerable. Is 8 damage better than saving two energy??
Ironclad literally starts every run with bash for free. It doesn't make sense to compare it one to one with a card that has to be picked over other stuff, usually in exchange for gold.
You also have to account for the fact that everyone has access to colorless cards. I do like trip early on if I'm playing Ironclad, and the type of Defect deck that wants a Beam Cell can be happy with a Trip too. But I find that Terror can easily make Trip redundant for Silent, and Watcher's whole starting deck makes Trip immediately redundant because her damage output is broken.
I wouldn't call trip redundant on Watcher, it can easily make or break a final turn in a combat. Zero cost cards are pretty premium on Watcher since Watcher really wants a lot of carddraw to increase damage output.

Honestly, I feel like you could fix bandage up by just giving it a "draw 1 card" built into it. That would probably make it a B or A tier card.
This guy often disent consider us shitty players. Bandage up is an immediate buy if you're expecting to get hit a lot.

How is Enlightenment good with Snecko Eye?
You draw a bunch of cards with Snecko, costs get randomized, cast enlightenment, now all of them cost 1

This is sad because colorless almost never get play
If I've got the money or good gold/shop relics I'll drop gold on a colorless in a shop. Sometimes, if the card's good. Otherwise you basically just get them from Neow and the act 3 event that gives you 1-3 colorless choices
