The greatest lesson that anyone of us can learn is simple, but it is not always easy: you can trust God in every moment and all circumstances.

As much as I believe and listen and read about God’s love for me, it is good to hear these words and be reminded again and again to trust in God, and in his plan for me. Every year, every month, every day, every minute our Lord is there. For you, for me, for us.

Open up a Bible anywhere and read the word and hear what God has to say to you…if that doesn’t help…there’s a book called, Jesus calling…each day Jesus speaks to you, and you will be able to relate to his words of love and care for you, and your trust will build each day! God bless you with the grace of His Holy Spirit which is the love and power between God and the gift of Jesus life of salvation for our souls!

...if you need to be constantly reminded every day, every minute, how firm do you actually believe? What I mean is, would your belief turn into doubt when you aren't given that reminder , when access to Mass is not given, the FBI has a bounty on every single Catholic in USA and there will come another "pandemic" to take away all access to God's sacraments and is already killing off people in religious life! How firm is your faith in God, is your soul right now prepared to walk through the fire and be faithful or will your belief dry away because it is not rooted deep enough in Truth and Love in Christ?

Father Mike, thank you for introducing Fr. Ciszek to us. I have ordered his book.
I loved your interaction with the Jewish boy and his father at the holocaust museum.
Both my parents participated in WWII in Europe. My mom was a resistance worker in Belgium 🇧🇪 and my father was an American soldier. I learned a lot of heartbreaking things at a young age .

I wouldnt compare him to Bishop Sheen. Sheen is a theological giant and there can only be one Sheen. I'd say comparing him to a modern day Saint Bosco is more prudent.

@@FlexCathedrafromIGI’m 53 years old and I barely knew who Bishop Sheen was. His show had been off the air by the time that I was born and he died when I was only 9. My generation was not raised on him. My mother was a huge fan so his old books were in my house but I had no interest in reading them at the time. I have watched several of his old sermons here on TH-cam and I don’t question his wisdom and magnetism. However, Father Mike has a special gift to inspire younger generations raised on the Internet. Actually, it was Father Mike who finally led me to watch Bishop Sheen videos. I simply compare their level of charisma, eloquence, and their use of mass communication to effectively convey their message of salvation. Plus, the camera just loves them both!

I'm reading `He leadeth me,' now and it's blowing my mind and humbling me at the same time. Never the less it brings some kind of peace - you know the peace this world can't offer because it doesn't belong to the world or come from the world. It's not ours to manipulate to our own ego and remove from another. It's not under our control.

Recently I was diagnosed with Subcortical Vascular Dementia and boy I was angry with God because I now have a 6 month old grandson. I have been speaking to God and I knew this anger will pass. May this beautiful homily of the acceptance of God’s Will through the experience of Fr. Ciszekbe be the template to all the priests.
Especially for priests who self identify as ‘cancelled priests’ which have been removed from their duties.
I pray that they would accept their removal as Gods Will Instead of going on the Internet inciting a rebellious spirit against The Church and particularly against the Pope.
I hope that they would pick up their cross and accept Gods Will just like Padre Pio did when The Holy See ordered that he would have to cease his priestly duties. Also like Fr. Dolindo who was slandered and was suspended for 16 years. Fr. Dolindo did not rebel he remained faithful and obedient to Holy Mother Church until the end. In his exile Fr. Dolindo composed ‘The Surrender novena,
“ Jesus l surrender myself to you take care of everything “.
In the sight of these injustices both Fr. Dolindo and Padre Pio had the same response which was total resignation and obedience to the Will of The Church, the Will of God.
Thank you Fr. Mike for another great homily.

Father Mike, I’m confused. I believe God is all good and doesn’t cause evil. But in the Old Testament, God routinely wiped out people: Jews, enemies of Jews, Egyptian first-born, people whose land the Jews wanted. Maybe they were bad people but God routinely killed them. So I’m very confused by this. Maybe a future homily could explain this. Thank you, Father. I’m so grateful for and appreciative of all your homilies and for Bible/Catechism in a Year!

I wish i could sit down with Father Mike for 5 minutes, and tell him i started following Christ because of the free gift of salvation. Come to find out, its not a free gift whatsoever. In fact, Christ died for our sins, and says himself, "if you reject me before people, i will reject you"
Basically, there is absolutely no free gift, and Christ dying was for absolutely nothing, and did absolutely nothing for anyone.
Its a free gift? How are we supposed to accept a free gift that God might not give? Doesnt that seem kind of fucked up?
It sounds more like this. Follow me, or go to hell. Go through tons and tons of suffering, and you may not even get into heaven. In fact, the rich man will have a harder time to get into heaven than a camel going through the eye of a needle.
Where in gods name is this "free" gift exactly?
There is no free gift. All of Christianity cancels itself out by its other teachings. Its basically a trap for your soul.

I don’t understand this line of thinking. Yes of course if bad things happen to us, it could be God‘s will. But I don’t understand how God wills us to do evil. good things do not come out of evil. Some people go to hell and that’s not a good thing. Yes, God should allow us to do evil, but my point is that good things do not come out of it all the time.

I just love to watch and listen to Fr. Mike. It’s so rare to experience this holy enthusiasm for God and his Word. It becomes apart of us I think, like his holy joy becomes min. And I always feel lighter, less depressed.

Oh Father: this is such a wonderful homily today! I look forward every week to your teachings. I go to church each week, but often times my cross is so hard to bear. I was attacked almost two years ago by my mentally ill son. I lost so much, and had to move in with my daughter and so
