Fracture is the victim of the community constantly dodging it and over-hating the map to the point where nobody learns how to play it so it's not fun. Just learn the damn map, it's easily the best in the game.
@@scxrpion3828 yea at low ranks or no comm games it could be hell, but it is way more fun and different in other way due to how aggressive you have to play on defense
@@rawr5085 for sure that's what makes it the funnest 5 stack/pro map imo, but back in plat and lower that map gave me nightmares. "hey lets push this" no response. "yo breach stun this" no response. "im gonna flash this lets fight" nothing.
I am surprised that just a few people mention Deadlock on Fracture. I'm glad she was remembered here. She is actually pretty good on that map, especially on defense. The fact that the map has elevation and enemies need to fall down on ledges makes it a perfect place to install the sound sensors, especially on A I hope that if the Deadlock's changes work well, we might see some gameplay with her on Fracture.
Deadlock was mentioned but I agree. Lots of elevation and her sensors can be placed sewers to stop defenders. She has an insane number of unbreakable trips and ult line ups. If pros actually try to learn a new character she will see play there.
@@vincenzosama Doesn't make much more sense, when Fracture was in the mappool Deadlock was even worse than now and since her buffs Fracture hasn't been played, why would anyone talk about her and Fracture? And if you mean the general playerbase rather than pros that makes even less sense as the playerbase in Valorant is braindead and doesn't understand the game, so they won't even know what's good on which map anyways
Deadlock is a hidden gem in Fracture since defensive aggression is always the key to winning a defender round in a map where enemies can come from four different directions and easily overwhelm your site. Her gravnet is extremely good for this as it can both shut down aggressive plays and be used to reclear space. But I think where deadlock really shines is during attack rounds, especially for postplant. If she has ceiling trips on Bind, in Fracture she can place completely unbreakable underground trips. How strong her sensors are on a map really is what only make or break the agent's viability in that map.
I dont remember Sova being accepted as that good on Fracture outside of the way that EG used him. I think it's more likely we will see Skye/Fade + Breach comps.
Nope, sova redefined how fracture would be played. you have a recon to act as a trigger for a breach stun --> if no one is there, you save the stun/flash for another area. ITs essentially a war of attrition concept. Before teams were gambling with stuns/flashes which is inifficient because it means if no one was there, you'd have the space with 0 util. By saving their utility, it allows them to scale further and more util to siege the later areas increasing the round conversion. Similart example is how the GUARD would have a kj turret as a trigger for the astra star in Art to always confirm the kill, or how on sunset NRG would breach stun off the cypher trip. Essentially its an attack version of a trigger play. :) tl;dr saves resources to increase round conversion without wasting util in areas that are empty and assumed to be contested for.
@@YasinKhan-bf5xs I mean, I think that's fair but like also only one team REALLY was playing Sova. @@funkycrawler619 Makes no difference if one team used it when the team that used it had flawless victories on Fracture undefeated on it with that comp and won champs. if the fast execute, fast retake gameplay continues for this map, is actually think vyse has a lot of potential, especially with the razor vines' trajectory being really potent on fracture.
I still think eg comp will still be meta/really viable. I've had talks with alot of coaches and they also agree the only changes to the eg comp would be either gekko for sova, double duelist with neon or vyse for sentinel.
Fracture hasn't been in the comp pool since i started playing valorant, i have been praying for a "how to fracture" video to come out all year (s tier dad joke, im aware)
Astra was an interesting pick when Gambit/M3C was still around, nAts may optimize plays with chamber and Cypher. We may see Sova on Fracture because of COM. And the rest will be the same. Possibly stick with Skye or Fade or Breach in fracture.
I was really hoping there would be changes to Fracture, because while playing really aggro is fun i dont do it too often and my teammates are usually really adverse towards playing aggro for some reason. Was this confirmed somewhere? Most of the maps rotating in and out for the last episode haven't really been changed, Sunset has basically been the only one.
ascent is still the best map in the game. I get that it got stale. but it was the best defined map. fracture still blows. breaks all the rules. not even in a fun way. sure it’s fun to watch for pro play, but bad for everything else.
As a recon initiator main, Fracture is horrible to play, map caters to duelist/controller/sentinel players and new initiator agent better be good on this map. This map better get heavy adjusting, the pinching often cause teammate to die early and always ended up playing 3v5 most of the time. This map is great for pro play, but a horrible unbalanced ranked map that needs heavy adjusting.
recon initiators are played often on nearly every map, and double initiator is pretty common even in ranked where one of them is always a recon. i think its good to have a map where recon initiators dont dominate and offers more opportunity for other agents. even then, fade is still good on fracture and sova isn’t a bad pick either. basically every agent is viable which is good for the game
In the current rotation? It's probably the most interesting one. Ascent is the most stable, and it's been removed. And most other maps come down to preference of gimmicks, of which Fracture's is arguably the most unique.
It's a good map in coordinated play because comms are huge enough to win rounds and it allows more variety. Ranked its a pain in the ass because of that same reason though, because 90% of ranked players would rather get chat banned for a racial slur than press their PTT button a single time.
