If you think about it - this is the meta Riot has been inviting players to delve into for a while. The most recent two sentinels severely punish fast aggression and they've been nerfing movement duelists at the same time
I wouldn’t say highest skill ceiling, you probably just need to coordinate with your team to make the most value out of his kit. Tech wise he’s fairly straightforward.
Spacing is super important for trading in valorant. This development makes being near one another dangerous. I wonder what they will do? I don't think iso wall or cove blocks nades. Trap plays for common plant spots have been a thing for ages.
@AUG_Glow they increased its radius by 40% ish and made the lock effect permanent until taken off. Release deadlock had a much smaller net that autounlocked the people it caught after about 4 seconds or so. Release deadlock was actually trash ass and probably part of why tejo is a little overtuned on his signature
Wait until they overtune the sensors in the buff they announced is coming. The sensors are already very good pieces of utility if you know what you're doing.
@@hikaruyoroi they said they wanted to buff reactivity, so they'll probably change decrease the arming time since I think they probably want her in line with sage as a "reactionary sentinel" so to speak
Calling it now, we are gonna see a rise in yoru to be able to make noise of 2 ppl and bait out these traps, while being able to tp away safely and reposition. Not to mention the space denying utility like mollies and nades pair really well with aggressive tp plays
As an outsider on ow/rivals, feels like Valorants spotlight has left at least 20% and now they need a chamber level release to excite people. I wish they saw they have an amazing esport, but the ranked and casual environment both, but especially ranked, is horrible. No unlock system i cant even talk with my team about comp unless i wanna not play duelist or maybe stack with friends, no replay system so as a flash initiator if a flash doesnt hit, my best bet is to literally record the game and go into custom game to replicate it AND i might need a buddy to test why it didn't hit there, like this went from a damn 2 minute check in the much needed replay system, to like 30 mins just to critique my own flash. Locks are one thing that bring toxicity too, but there's more. When you're in-game, the standards for the community are pretty low. Im sure you know what i mean, going 0-3 and it's a surrender vote, more often than it should be. I dunno, i wanna love this game but it's obvious riot's ONLY solution to any issue ever, is more maps or more agents.
The problem with that is it might be very OP. Like if it doesn’t counter air strike abilities than it would be useless against Tejo but if it does counter them than it could deny whole ultimates which I don’t think is very fair. Maybe it could only last for a short period of time so you can bait it out
@@CutiesPatootied yeah but you can break a kayo knife position somewhere else. A trophy system for example could be placed inside of a safe position like lamps and there’s literally no way to break it because it eats every ability
@@tobe.moemeka I think it should act similar to Jagers traps from rainbow six siege. If one util flies past it's range then it deletes that util, so it wouldn't delete a whole ultimate but if Tejo threw his signature out and it flies within the trap's range on its way to its placement then it gets deleted. Maybe the trap can only delete one util every 15 seconds and it makes a loud sound when its active so the enemy team knows they have to sacrifice some util to get in or try to peek the trap to break it, making it not too OP but still a very useful ability
Watch this be like the outlaw where everyone was talking about how it’s going to be oppressive and then like 4 teams use it consistently and the rest use it incredibly sparingly

I like that a new agent is strong on release finally, but I don't like that Tejo has basically no counterplay, and that is going to combo in a bad way with other agents
Does this mean agents like omen and yoru might come back as a counter play? With yoru, raze, and omen they can easily both bait or use get out of jail cards to burn more of teams utility letting them do it early on the round and then slow it down. Not only that but agents like Omen, yoru, and raze would still have their best part of the kit for a hit like paranoia (best blind), yoru’s clone and blinds, and raze’s nade. Pair this by giving up an initiator and setting up viper, retaking space anywhere or putting question marks around the map would be much easier with viper’s wall and orb combo, blocking off a lot of vision for the enemy.
we never really had a sentinel for this map that hard countered the viper lurk up a short. I’m glad that vyse has found her niche, even if it is only on a couple maps. Also still glad to see skye on bind.
I think the meta should Raze, Astra, Tejo, Fade, and Viper. You still have almost just as much kill potential with Astras suck, and fades sieze. While also having incredible A take capability on ATK. Just look at how easy you can take showers with tejo/astra and A short with viper orb/wall.
Tbh love these new combos and comps, its really boring to see same comps on same maps from years back. The only time weird comps were viable was chamber meta. So really excited to see new combo vombos. Also, Vyse and Deadlock makes a lot of sense even on attacking side since Vyse has flash with info, deadlock wall and grav-net, and they both cover each other's weaknesses. Not to mention TEJO will be Chamber of this Event.😷
Viper, similar to kj ... Can be paired well if utility were used synergistically. Brim is an option, as well as Astra. Jett (preferred raze due to Nades but shes not meta anymore) Tejo (Comp built around him) KJ (combination of killjoy ult, plus tejo Armageddon would be power but how likely are both ults available same rd? 🤔) Sova (additional info to assist in using Tejo to his full capacity)
Killjoy is interchangeable with cypher. Cypher kit is very info gathering heavy and does provide good defense control on defense but im tempted to see how some of these agents can be used together to complement each other. So I would prefer killjoy just to see how that works out, outside of theory. Also I think it would be fun 😂
I think the lack of Viper (not because she can't work) is evidently a good thing because it shows Valorant overall is a place of a healthier meta with agent viability. That being said, I don't think the Tejo "situation" is going to be that bad because- what are you going to give up for Tejo? As seen here, Deadlock/Vyse provides synergy together (and probably Viper counter) but what would you give up for Tejo? Deadlock who combos great with both or Vyse who has a flash/info and a wall to stop a lurk? It's a pretty good spot for the game to be in if there is so much agent viability and hopefully VCT doesn't disappoint.
ths is just a metashift. We see this in Ascent before and there are teams that use this in Split. So there will come a time that Riot will address this because they want to prioritize gunplay over spam of utilities
he will be played by likely every team, he has a potential of 4 nades each round each one can kill a 150 hp agent, also stackable for some reason not useful but its there. easy to use stun which is incredibly strong. an ultimate that can take away so much space and put people out of position, you cant play through it like you can against breach, and unlike breach u can position the ult however you want breach needs to be in a good location to ult. dont think his drone will get many scans but it will play more like a skye dog for info and less about hitting the actual ability.
