Buying the roof mount requires you to download the app create an account and log into the store through the app, in order to buy one. Talk about frustrating.
The cat 5 in-line coupler is available on Amazon.

Ok I definitely want that
"Hey, man...what is your WiFi password?" is not a phrase you normally expect to hear at a camp site.
Your SSID should be: "$20_FOR_1_DAY_SEE_ME" 😆
I dont wanna be weird and ive never seen ur vids before but i just seen you passing by Seattle 😧 crazy. :)
Not to worry, we are in Washington, it is Portland that is a the land of the weird… wait… we have Ballard. Carry on. Welcome to the channel.
Another great video mate, always give great ideas
Now that is some spendy pr0n.
Yea, work anywhere. Thought that through.
Your 72 hour kit is now complete!
Hi Vhad hope your doing well!
I vim doing vell. :)
Awesome!
Good advice on preserving Sika tubes… But I think you’re supposed to pinch the tip first before you put it on.😀
maybe get another mount for the antenna?? put it down deeper on the wall...... then for driving plop it recievrer in the low one, out of the way but near by to the "in use" configuration. Tadaaa... No more having to dig out out of the cabinet and climb up with it in your hands to install at camp.
Don't care how much waterproofing you feel is enough, it's not a good idea to drill a hole to the exterior right next to electrical, but you do you...
Ac lines yes, dc lines not so much
Yup AC lines introduce a ton of noise on an Ethernet cable.
Why are we still waiting on mobile Starlink terminals when they should have launched that way?
I have the feeling that has more to do with Comcast and dish networks lobbyists buzzing around Congress than anything technical.
cut out at batteries at 50%. Are you running lead acid?
Nope. We are running lithium iron phosphate but I want to keep enough in reserve to cook dinner and make coffee in the morning, since we are 100% electric
Pls send me a link to that system if you can

Camp under a tree for shadow or having internet?
If I’m truly camping, under a tree. But if I have to work, internet. Best of both worlds. :)
@@BrokeOverLandhaha. I know, working under a shadow darkens imagination.
"Is that my boob?! Disgusting..." *demonitized* lmao
Curious to see a real-world review of Starlink. As a telecom professional, the installation certainly looks simple! Kinda surprised it's using Cat5e though, and not Cat6...but I guess it's not like it's a 10Gb ethernet connection.
Why wouldn't it be fiber optic instead of twisted pair copper?
It has to get the power over the copper. It’s running power for the tracking motors and snow melt heater.
I was also surprised it was just 24 gauge cat5 with custom ends. But the cable is stamped cat5e 24awg
