Lol. Skunked. Same here man. 413. Seen 1 squirrel in a week. Tons of food for them too. Last year they ate every apple and pear off my tres. This year nothin. Barred owls and fishers at night tho. Strange.

I drank Coffee with Three Squirrels on my front porch this morning. It finally got down to 70 degrees here in East Texas . I believe our season opens next month, but probably won't need a jacket or under quilt.I know you guys are enjoying that Fall like weather.🔥

Super cool. I always like the hunting videos. I hunted this afternoon but didn't see anything. I did find an old bottle while walking. It turned out to be an old glass milk bottle. Super cool find.

I like the skunk smell. Also i like having garlic breath , love when my hands smell like garlic or lemons .
Dave & everyone, Set Power has very affordable 12 Volt Refrigerators $139 for 21 Quart, & $219 for larger size. All come with home AC power cords for indoor use. These units will also run 3-4 days on a Deep Cycle Battery & other backup power units when there's a power outage.

Spent 14 days in that same spot last year. Watched a Bobcat cross that old roadbed one morning. Lot of hunting pressure there.

Lmao! When you said you were skunked at squirrel camp... I thought you got sprayed by one! Which I thought was hysterical because I know your stories of living with one, and the dog making it spray, plus way, way back when you got your hat spray back I think...dual survival. Dave, I'm your age, so have been watching you forever seems like. I absolutely love your setup. Not wanting for you to supply one.. Just saying. The sprayer/Jerry can setup is definitely a need, along with a portable rechargeable power system. The radio 704 trs - 6 blah blah is definitely my weakest point. Anyway, live everything, can't wait til November for skillets.

Our season just started but I've only been out once and got skunked. I train my Labradors for waterfowl and upland hunting but they also love to retrieve squirrels for me.
Over in Perry county, there's a free camping hunting spot. It's over at Wolf Creek wildlife area. Not far from where you are at now. Just a county or two beside ya and they got good hunting. Nice big red squirrels in them bottoms by the creeks in the evening

I never understood it. I walk out my front door and sit in my driveway and I see at least 6 different squirrels within 10.minutes. I go out in the woods to hunt them and I sit among piles of acorns and black walnuts for 3 hours and see no squirrels.
