For any new goose players out there I'd like to point out some tips and tricks that took me a while to learn while practicing geese. First of all, most of geese's inputs can be buffered, you can buffer your hcb's, pretzels, dp's getting a solid grasp on their timings takes practice but once you get it down geese combos are one of the most rewarding ones in tekken imo. Consistently doing Deadly Rave can be a pain in the ass, after you learn how to pull of hcb, f movement consistently there's still the input barrier, what no one tells you is that you have to delay the last 2 input or else you will drop deadly rave, you should press 2 just a fraction of a second before the kick animation connects. You can also do an shippuken by doing a full circle and pressing 1+2 as soon as you see geese jumping. One of the biggest obstacles I faced with geese was his d4, hcb2, unfortunately there's no trick to it, you just have to be really quick and precise. Lastly you might not be able to land two consecutive flying kicks in a row, the trick is to delay the first kick as much as possible and doing the second one in quick succession. If you have any more questions about goose I'd be happy to help.
Can you give some tips about neutral pressure and pressure at the wall? I try to do jabs and df1 but still find it hard to open up opponents. At the wall I try to do 1.,2,3 and d1,f3 for splat but that is also easy to block.
@@fr0mage geese has one of the best if not the best jab in the game, using them for neutral pressure is always good, try to read your opponent and go for a sidestep 2, 1 after jabs to see if they're pressing buttons, if you can land that first 2 and have a bar it's a death sentence, I like to use d2, d/f2 and d4 for neutral pressure, or ss3, try to change your timings for your ss3 if you can get a counter hit that's a free wall carry try to hardwire your opponent to crouch so you can take advantage of your f1+2 I mostly use b2, 3 for wall pressure since it's kinda hard to punish and wall splats on second hit try to mix it with your jabs and lows. Again try to go for lows and see if your enemy gets impatient, gameplan of geese is to annoy your opponent until they make a mistake and capitalizing on it when you get that first 2 in it's Goose time
@@fr0mage also forgot to say that b3 is an okay pressure tool depending on your opponent also it's a Max Mode combo initiator but try not to spam it too much since it's rather easy to punish

@@mikeg4490 Though it is completely doable on pad. Just today i was able to pull of raging storm a couple times, of course i’m nowhere near consistent and have just started playing Geese. What made some of his stuff easier for me is that, for half-circles you don’t actually have to do the complete half circle: you can just input f~d~b and it will give you a Hcb. I personally do it by inputting f~qcb since im faster that way. Raging storm can also be done by doing 2 hcb and then d/f, you don’t have to do the exact, actual input. Also an important note for his deadly rave: don’t try to mash it out like you often do with strings. The buttons need to be pressed in a certain rythm, going to training mode and listening to the audio-cues in the move demonstration sequence helps a lot with getting that rythm down. From there you just have to memorize the order of the inputs.
Don't let anyone tell you Geese is easy to play. His basic style, poking and movement is easy yes. His max damaging combos in the heat of the moment, canceling and all not easy. Takes awhile to get the muscle memory for him. But once you do its game on man. Good luck.
