英语黑化
1. Good for you! 恭喜对方/敷衍对方
- I just got a promotion! 我刚被升职了。 对方为你感到高兴会说这句话。
- trivial things that doesn’t matter. 不重要的小事。I finally got that piece of spinach out of my teeth
2. That sounds fun/great. I’ll let you know. 字面：听起来很有趣，我回头告诉你。其实是个no. inviting a friend to a party
3. Good to know. 很高兴知道这个you just told me a bunch of stuff that I don’t really care about, but I have to say something as a response.
4. It’s up to you. 字面：这是你的决定。实际：我不在乎你选哪个。which choice is better?
5. I’ll/ let me see what I can do. 字面：我看看还能怎么帮你 实际：我其实帮不了你（或不想帮）但不好意思直说。
6. Don’t take this personally. 不是针对你啊。no offense, but....With all due respect,
7. Bless your heart. 字面：上帝保佑你。 美国南方：fxxk you. 你太傻了，上帝保佑你吧。

這幾句都是要看談話內容跟雙方的語氣，尤其是good for you 和bless your heart,真的不一定是敷衍或諷刺，就像中文的「不錯」，有時是表示中下，有時是中上，但有時後又是很好的意思，沒有絕對的。

是的。 这些都可以象Maggie理解的那样，但是也可以是字面上的意思。看情况。

this video mainly talked about what do people actually mean when they say these things to you. They are list of things that might look one way literally. But when people say it, it actually means somthing different.
1. good for you = I don't really care about what you say
2. i'll let you know= i can't make it but i don't wanna say it to your face and don't wanna hurt your feelings. It is kind of refuse
3. good to know = i am not intereted in that topic. Please stop talking about this and let's move on to next topic.
4. It's up to you= i don't wanna spend time in talking about this and help your make a choice
5. I'll see what i can do/ let me see what i can do = they'll probably wait a day or two and then come back with a no
6. Don’t take this personally
/No offence, but/With all due respect = I am going to say something and you may not feel happy. Don't get mad at me
7. Bless your heart = sometimes people are annoyed with you

我觉得是要看语气的，有的朋友会特别兴奋地说“GOOD FOR YOU!!!”，我觉得他们也是真的很高兴的。

就像是中文回答對方「那很好啊」一樣，你也可以說是敷衍也可說是真心恭喜，也可以是沒話說了而已。我覺得都各沾一點點的味道，就看聽的人自己如何解讀。

I sometimes use "good for you", "good to know" and I don't mean it in a bad way. A lot of the times it really depends on the context, for example, someone just told me about a bunch of stuffs, I might say: "Really?! That's good to know".

Good for you. - 1. (In most cases) - I am happy for your achievement. 2. (Common) a filler to brush ppl off - whatever I don’t really care. 3. (Certain situations), stop showing off, you are making me jealous.

像good to know, good for you，maggie說的也都對，但有時候情緒和語氣的拿捏也不一定能用幾句話來概括, 妳的解釋可能會讓不熟悉的人誤會這都是負面,敷衍別人的講法，其實不然，這幾句一天聽到十次也不為過，如果就是敷衍的話，誰敢講? 所以還是有看情況, 對方在分享他自己的事情，也不需要妳表達太多想法時，good for you 就不錯用, 又是對方單純想知會妳一些事情, 你也覺的不適合發表太多想法時, good to know 也很好用啊...

就是跟中文一樣，就是針對對方的話題真心來回答，如果妳想恭喜某人你會評論多一點，例如你會說我知道你一直對這件事很努力，我真的好替你高興I之類的，而不會只回答一句那很好啊。I know you really work hard on xxx, I’m so happy that you make xxx. You really deserve it 等等，如果再加上個擁抱就更真了。反正是不是真誠恭喜你自己也知道。

“I will see what I can do” 还是要看语境，有的时候对方是在敷衍你，有的时候是对方真的没把握，但最后还是真的帮到你了。

Once I told my American friend that if someone tells you "No offense, but..." at that moment you know something really offensive is coming.

觉得主要还是说这些词还能这样用而已，并不是说真诚的对话中就不能用这些词或者用了就一定不真诚。交往深浅，对对方的重视程度，不是几个用词可以完全代表的。同样说I'll let you know或I'll see what I can do，还是保留了follow up的窗口，偶尔的不能成行也不意味着看不起你。人际交往和关系主要还是看怎么做。

想到一个点，一般vendor要是跟我说let me see what I can help，虽然somehow我理解意思是他现在不知道该做什么，觉得希望不大，但是我必须push一下，要不对方就真的觉得我let him go。。。
到别人家吃饭，主人问你这个菜怎么样？如果说，it is (a bit) different. 其实是， 不太好吃。
OMG! 我常说kind of different... 然后指出菜特别之处...最后坦诚告诉对方 喜欢或不喜欢... 这也不ok吗!？囧rz
