Not sure how much interest anyone's going to have in an unboxing video, but I bought the Xenogears 20th Anniversary Concert Blu-ray from Japan. Normally wouldn't shell out the cash for something like this, but Yasunori Mitsuda's music is transcendent, good enough to warrant gathering together an orchestra, Northern Irish Celtic Christian progressive rock singer and songwriter Joanne Hogg, and Ireland-based choral ensemble Anúna in Japan's Maihama Amphitheater to celebrate this classic with a concert that shook my soul.

The music is beautiful for sure.
The music of Xenogears is phenomenal.
I bought it, too. The concert music is the best for my life.
Music in videogames is so underrated. Great music in videogames is just as transformational to the content as much as in movies.

The way you found the concert is exactly how I stumbled over it. I've been listening to the Xenogears ost and the arranged album for years and yet the imo best version of 'Bonds of Sea and Fire' is featured in this concert. I bought the Blu-ray as well and now that I've been primed to be on the lookout have been finding so many different special soundtrack editions by Squareenix. Never would have known about the Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross orchestra CDs either.
I just learned something new. Didn't know the CT and CC orchestra CDs existed. Chrono Cross is my other favorite Yasunori Mitsuda work. Gotta give it to Xenogears overall, but CC is no slouch. I'll have to look for those now. Thanks!
And yeah, this concert is phenomenal. You're right about the version of "Bonds of Sea and Fire" here. I get a little choked up during the final piece, as they're recognizing all the different musicians while the happy part of "My Village is Number One" plays.
@@BabyArms I‘m completely on board with your opinion of Mitsuda‘s work! There are a lot of Chrono’s music covers out there, so the version you‘ll want to look for is called ‚orchestral arrangement‘ with grey covers (those are the ones released by SE in 2019). You can also listen to both albums in full on YT. Enjoy!

Tiffany! If you search "Xenogears Creid" on TH-cam, a playlist should come up. I think the whole album is great, but if I had to recommend a handful of tracks, I'd say "Melkaba," "Balto," "Creid," "June Mermaid," and "Lahan."
The Myth album I mentioned is harder to find on TH-cam, unfortunately.
I love creative productions with good soundtracks. I don't know anything about Xenogears. If I have time in the future, I will check it out.
I think you'll enjoy it. Actually, if you like games and RPGs, you ought to try to make time to just play Xenogears someday.

Man, I so appreciate that, you don't even know. I'm glad the effort is apparent, because yeah, I do put in a ton of it. Effort and time. And yes, the next video is another movie recommendation for people who liked The Batman. I wanted to get it finished and uploaded sooner, but the video for my brother took a lot longer than it should have. (I ran into one problem after another with it.) But the video on Insomnia should be ready within the next few days.
I'm really hoping these grow my channel. If I eventually end up with some kind of following on TH-cam, I'm going to be very proud to call you one of the originals. Thanks for always popping in to share feedback. I seriously look forward to it every time.

So I actually won't be able to publish it for approximately another four days. I'm out of town on a trip and don't have my PC. I tried to finish editing before leaving and got close, but it's just not ready yet. I like how it's shaping up though.
The perks of you being one of the only followers of such a small channel is that I can communicate this stuff to you directly, ha.

That is a good looking product! Youre right, though, the packaging is slick and I love that the book was in both languages. I've actually never played any of this series so I'm not familiar with the music, but I LOVE gaming music (well, and good music in general) ... so I'll have to check into it.

Is there a scan of the booklet online anywhere? I think this is the first time I've seen colored versions of Maria/Rico/Emeralda's art. I'm curious if those were specifically done for the booklet.
I'm actually not sure. I can take higher quality pictures later if you'd like, though.
