One of the things I always found interesting about Jafar is that...technically speaking...it's Iago who defeated him. While it is true that Aladdin, Genie, Jasmine, Abu, and Carpet all had their roles to play, it's technically one of Jafar's former victims of abuse who defeated him: Iago. That's one of the many reasons I love Iago as a character in Return of Jafar and the Animated Series. He's a bit more morally complex than the other characters, and while he's more antiheroic than heroic, he's a brave bird, despite all the times that people try to blame him for what Jafar did to him. He's a great character.
aye , is is indeed as you put it more nuanced in morals ,its not that he wont do good when he can... but its with bit more reflection of the vast grey areas of the ruthless existence he is part of where no matter how many species that crave love and justice... its eat or be eaten for many to stay alive

Not bad - really not bad. :) :) I was uncertain about the song at first, but got more into it as the vid went on, particularly with how 'took what is mine', 'you're in my way', '' and 'will be your king' fit Jafar's personality. :) :) I LOVE how Jafar's evil expressions and postures go with some parts of the song, particularly 'you're in my way' and 'I was meant to rule the world'. Jafar holding or reaching for Genie's lamp at 'These toys are far too much for you' is especially-delightful and catchy!!! :) :) A music vid tribute (to my other favourite Disney villain :)) which has won me over! :)
To be honest, I think Scar is inferior to Jafar, as even at his worst, Scar doesn't have quite the same ferocious wrath in his presence as Jafar does, and for me it's a lot more fun when Jafar gets the throne he secretly craves and lets his inner power-mad beast out (just my opinion).

All due respect but I much rather prefer Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold for Maleficent, Prince of Darkness by Megadeth, Das Bose By E Nomine, Dark Matter by Les Friction, Seven Devils. I have heard of the song angel of Darkness and while it is a good song, it doesn’t fit Maleficent at all. It sounds a little too light hearted. I want a song that’s dark, evil and menacing and intimidating.
