He respects strength. You cleared your way all the way to the tree, i doubt he would rather fight anyone else. Especially since we can actually see grace guiding him towards us in the cutscene. He first lost his grace when his last worthy enemy fell, so it kind of implies that the player character ignites that old fire in him. It’s thematically beautiful to have a rage-filled human kept in check by a calm beast advisor. Godfrey is probably my favorite character in this game. Amazing work!
Godfrey is my favorite boss in FromSoftware's catalog. Everything about him is perfect. From his presentation, to his lore, to his design, and my favorite part, his fighting style. From what I can recall, Godfrey is the only souls boss that has no gimmicks. No magic, no holy power, no lightning, or fire, or strength of the abyss. It's just him. Just his axe, his strength, and his will that opposes you. In all respects, he truly is Godfrey, The First Elden Lord. But in all respects he is also, Hoarah Loux. A Warrior
Okay. Counterpoint:Champion Gundyr. From a certain point of view, phase 1 Gael. If we will dig really deep, crown of the sunken king gank squad. And also from a certain point of view, Champion's Gravetender and Sir Alonne. The former does has a bunch of small dogs and one really big dog, but is otherwise just a sword & board guy, and the latter has the "stab someone to buff the sword" thingy, but is otherwise just a completely normal katana guy. Also, quite a few bosses from Sekiro I think, or at least their 1 phase.
@@l.o.v.e-sick5330 Those are fair points. Champion Gundyr and Sir Alonne are the only two I agree are like Godfrey. Both actually exemplify my points and actually enhance them imo. Gundyr is a failed lord. His will was not strong enough, and he was too slow to fulfill his duty. He failed to uphold what Godfrey successfully does. Alonne fought for a lord. He had no ambitions of his own. He was a warrior who was betrayed by his lack of ambition, something Godfrey (and the Elden Ring PC) clearly has.
On that point I love how his second phase is also the opposite of the usual Dark Souls boss power-up; his Shadow tries to join the fight, but then Godfrey just *kills him* and chooses instead to fight you bare-handed as his old Barbarian King self.

To me, this is how meeting Godfrey felt. Grace had completely abandoned you, when you burned the Erdtree, but now you knew your path forward. Despite the gods denying you your journey, you continued to the courtyard, where HE waited. Unlike with every other tarnished, the once and future Elden Lord was still guided by grace - and he had one obstacle left before him, the tarnished whose ambition would destroy the Golden Order beyond repair. He should have won. It was clear that every divinity had placed their backing on him, and grace itself supported him. Instead, perhaps for the first time in the Tarnished's journey, the plans of the gods were broken. It wasn't the lowly tarnished who was defeated, but Godfrey, who was even then still loved by Marika. This final test of strength broke the old Lord... but proved that the new one was worthy of a crown all their own.
grace is given by marika. not the gods. also you still have grace after the burning. it is the thing that supposedly allows for the tarnished to come back from death. supposedly godfrey doesnt have grace..or he just refuses to come back after death since he is too big of a chad to do so.
@@sudanemamimikiki1527 He does have grace, as we can see it leads him to the Tarnished when Morgott fades away. So either it left him when he died again or he just decided to not contest your lordship after you proved your strength.

I'd like to see Aviators take on the Frenzied Flame ending. I am the crazy sort of idiot that thinks the Frenzied Flame ending is the best possible ending for The Lands Between... Because no other ending has an answer for the growing corruption that is Godwyn and Those That Live In Death... A corruption that even has spread to Farum Azula, a place that is out of time and space in a way. You also have the Scarlet Rot that is also spreading across the land. Burning the land to ash may just be the only cure for a world slowly rotting away from stagnant waters and cursed lands. Life tends to blossom after the flames turn the land to ash. So such a gruesome scene may yet have the spark of hope.
YES! I knew someone would do a Godfrey inspired song eventually. Glad it was you. Very nicely done. Godfrey is probably my favourite character in Elden ring. His axe? A Mere symbol. The Beast upon his back? Actually there to keep him in check. His crown? Warranted with strength. The battle with him is basically the final crucible for the tarnished. The first lord and his distant kinsman seeing who will take the crown. Throughout the game characters belittle you for being tarnished, but ironcally the actual Elden Lord treats you with respect. He was also the first tarnished afterall. The actual fight is also up there among the best. A classic souls brawl without weird timings or magic bullshit. A solid challenge to see how well you learned the basics and if you can keep calm under a barrage of quick attacks.
My theory that as his men died in battle he got overwhelmed and surrounded I don't think that any enemy could actually fight him in 1v1 and win especially at his prime
i don't use any social media, could anyone tell me if aviators has posted anything about any new releases anywhere? its been quite some time since his last new song, if i'm not mistaken

This is absolutely fucking excellent guys. It's so quiet yet full of energy just waiting to be unleashed. It hits hard with each note getting ready to leap like a lion's pounce.
A tribute dedicated to the most badass Elden Lord ever?? Epic!
My birthday is only a few days away but this still counts.
This is perfect for me to listen to while I fight my favorite boss with each weapon.
8+ minutes... Dunno how I missed it the first time through, but heck yes! Excellent work as usual!
I finished the game finally today. Such great timing and such a great song thank you
it's always a blessing when aviators posts a song.
Holy crap it came out, I am so excited!! Can't wait to listen to this masterpiece again!!
Love the new profile Pic. I didn’t realize you were a furry till now.
You’re awesome at what you do! 🙃
Eyy it's out again!
I can’t wait for this album to come out on Apple Music. Hopefully it will soon because I need these songs downloaded
Hello Aviators. I wanted to tell you that I really like your music. I initially found you through MLP songs. And by the way, I downloaded almost all of them ^^ (I downloaded all MLP songs. I just didn’t download music without words).
In general, I want to thank you for what MLP songs were doing back then, which I consider simply masterpieces. I liked them very much. But the rest of your music is amazing too. I'm sure. I think I should search and listen more later))
I wish you all the best and success in your future work (I mean creating music).
I hope you notice this...❤
Very nice song
Good song, been enjoying it for a while.
Here we go again. :D
God I love this. You know this means right?
Now we need one for Mogh and Morgott.
This is playing in my head 24/7 while im playing the elden ring dlc, not gonna lie. It keeps me going, it's wildly motivating!!!
Bro this was fucking awesome i absolutely love the chorus of this song its just so damn perfect. It gave me chills when i heard it.
I know what I will have on repeat for the foreseeable future!
AVI THIS IS AMAZING!What a great start to the year!
I absolutely love the vibe of this song! It’s like imagining if Imagine Dragons play Dungeons & Dragons!
I've been listening to your music for many years. I have a few artists that accompany me throughout multiple stages of my life and I will definitely keep you with me for a much longer time
This human never disappoints, I swear!
AW YEAH this is my favorite song from the album!
0:57 Now I fight as Hoarah Loux... UUUUNNNNIIIICCCCOOOORRRRNNNN!!!!!
"survivor takes the lion's share" You brialliant sneaky bastard did it again with those lyrics.
A perfect song for the perfect boss, all hail the first elden lord.
This is enhancing my strength for the DLC.
Forget Golden Vow, forget Flame Grant me Strength, all I need is this song to bolster my power.
Helldivers 2 song next!!!
P.S. Love your music dude!
With video accompanying this song, it feels different, stronger, much stronger, benevolent and dignified, it sent shivers down my spine...
The beat here is so inspiring, it feels like a dance between two foes, I've found myself humming along in a great way. Great job!
A solid challenge to see how well you learned the basics and if you can keep calm under a barrage of quick attacks.
godfrey is shown dead in the beginning of elden ring it makes you wonder what kind of insanely powerful creatures/warriors are in the badlands
My theory that as his men died in battle he got overwhelmed and surrounded I don't think that any enemy could actually fight him in 1v1 and win especially at his prime
@@idkhdhdbeheb considering how many weapons he's got stuck in him, that seems plausible
@@crispylizard4348 Godwyn is shown dead, not Godfrey. Also, we know who he was killed by, it was the black knife assassins
We need a new fnaf song
The og days, i miss em! ❤
Great song btw
Well... Only Legends know that it's... Ah, forget it.
i don't use any social media, could anyone tell me if aviators has posted anything about any new releases anywhere?
its been quite some time since his last new song, if i'm not mistaken
Putting myself here in case someone replies to you so I can also get the notification
So I didn't see anything new on social media, but on Amazon Music a new (?) playlist was added on his channel last week.
@Inkarana Okay so he's at least alive, thank God.
Yeah, and he never put Metal Won't burn nor this song on iTunes, can't find the reason why... I was wondering why I didn't have them and searched them, only to come up with nothing on iTunes...
Downloaded on my phone and saved to my playlist of songs. This is just amazing!
A SONG THAT WILL FOREVER ECHO IN THE SOULSBORNE COMMUNITY
I'm surprised that Aviators haven't made a song about the movie 9 yet with their theming.
Listening to this masterpiece again cause of the dlc announcement. June cant come soon enough
another great and powerful hitting video-well done!!
Ah Godfrey thank you for all the memories and for the respect you showed me in every fight
The more I watch and listen to it the better it gets.
I love that this song could apply to Godfrey or the Tarnished equally.
This song hits harder than Malenia
This is absolutely one of those songs that just grows on you. Current earworm!
My friends and I finally beat this game last week. Glad I have another Elden song to binge to celebrate overcoming scheduling conflicts 😂 Now to do a solo run.
Still here after over ten years, and just wanted to say thank you.
Awesome as always.
...and now we are finally near the last song of Elden Ring, one of final deaths and new dawns!
This is a great song to listen to! This is going on my playlist immediately. Can't wait for the next one.❤
I love that the lyrics can refer to our Tarnished or to Godfrey.
Er diablo, epico se queda corto. Este trabajo fue de lo mejor que he escuchado de Aviators. MAGNIFICO!!!
This is easily my favorite song on the album (the whole thing is amazing btw) and a proper tribute to this absolute chad.
Thank you for the music you release, your albums help me fall asleep at night peacefully :3
once again aviators is posting peak there's never a flop in the club
