I’m 5 years late but the fact that he has had his air tank in his inventory and not on his back the whole time is killing me
I don’t think you could put them on your character at the time. In Jacksepticeye’s original series, he never has them on his back.
The oxygen tank still has affect on his air.
When I first played this game the oxygen tank sat in your inventory and it could stack. I used to swim around with an inventory full of oxygen tanks lol.

Mark, I know this is your first time playing, but you are doing bad. Bad things can improve. This is why I will give a list of tips.
-Make another storage cube, drop it down and open it
-Go into the ship with a radiation suit
-Once you are in the ship go to the front of it and travel that way
-Make a Mammoth, it is a submarine so you can travel faster
-There is land in the game, I wont spoil it though
-When you build a base start small
-You will need a generator, plat forms and supports
-Make a Terra former, you can get earth and place it however you like
-Don't rush to build your base, if you make a Mammoth you can live in that

EVERYONE, LIKE THIS COMMENT SO MARK CAN SEE IT!!!
Mark, loving the series, keep it up, but here's a few things you really should know.
First of all, if you need water, harvest the Creepvines, they provide plenty of water and some food, so harvest them constantly. Be warned about the Stalkers that inhabit the same area of them. Speaking of Stalkers, they're aggressive, but if you dare to feed them some peepers, you'll get a temporary companion, which is important because they occasionally drop a Stalker Tooth, which you need to make computer boards.
ALSO, if you want to make a vehicle, you need to make the computer boards which require Crashmeal. Which is what's found in the pods that launch those kamikaze fish. Just lure one out to blow up, then go up to the pod and take the Crashmeal.
Vehicles are cool since you can customize them, upgrade them, and turn them into mobile fortresses rather than worrying about an immediate base.
However, one thing you should focus on is your weapons. You can make a heated blade which does more damage, and upgraded fins. You can also make a telekinetic gun (which is a total gravity gun from half life), propulsion cannon, stasis rifle and hopefully more. You'll need to make the upgrade station to turn the knife to a heated one though.
HOWEVER, the big thing you've missed was in your escape pod. At the other end, there's a small storage unit that usually has some starting equipment such as a seaglide or O2 tank. CHECK IT please, it's also a spot to put your materials in when you don't need them.
FINAL THING TO SAY, you want to explore the ship, but of course, you need to make a radiation suit. HOWEVER, DO NOT SWIM TO THE SHIP. Let's just say there's a certain horror at the ship that is not welcoming to someone who doesn't show up with either the Cyclops Submarine or Seamoth sub.

If you eat them pacingly slow (or just, a couple inbetween actual food intake) I think no problem occurs
But if you slam down a lot of them in one go (like me, or quite a few worried that death is imminent people) then you get sick from them, like a cat who only eats grass to vomit (most often)
According to the wiki, the problem incurred is actually Blood-loss, direct damage, rather, than losing food and/or water... I'm sure if it had been very recently I probably would've remember that, but I haven't exactly played it in a while, which is why I only vaguely remembered that something dire happened if not conservative about their consumption
You can eat the creepvine, Mark. it gives you food and water :) You don't even have to cook it, you can just eat it straight from your inventory

Mark, you get silver from *sandstone* deposits, and there is a storage container in the lifepod.
Also, every time you find/make a new item, you should check through the recipes again. Things from your inventory are automatically scanned when you enter the lifepod, and the recipes are added.

Some parts of the ocean are huge and deep and we have not traveled any deeper in the past 40 years. What makes it scary about the
unknown down there, is the possibility of a creature bigger than the worlds biggest creature, The Blue Whale. Although they have 'solved' the case of "THE BLOOP", it is still a pretty good possibility of something gigantic living there. Origionaly, there actually was a Sea Creature as big or possibly even bigger than The Blue Whale. The Devonian is bigger than megalodon and has a jaw that could swallow a boat whole. But, sadly, the Devonian was a very slow sea creature due to its size. But, that means the possibility of something bigger and badder than the blue whale exists. Like in SUBNAUTICA's recent update and vids about it, the skeleton of a humongus creature is in the Lost River. How big is it? I really don't know right no, but its a representation of something. There could be bigger things in places we have yet to find in the ocean. secret ares past rock, ontaining gigantic monsters. Who knows what lurks down there.

Having watched this series about 4 times now, it's always so painful watching the first few episodes. Specifically when he's running out of inventory, and drops the PEFECTLY USABLE INVENTORY STASH.
