The extra down isn’t really supposed to impact temp rating. Temp rating is determined by the baffles. Baffles control loft. The extra down keeps the down in place better. So if there is more down it won’t tend to slide to one end of the baffle as much. Which would take away loft in parts with less down. Basically you won’t have to spend as much time shaking out your quilt to get the down spread out. I had an issues with this with their 30 degree with no extra down. I didn’t have that problem with my Zpacks quilt, but Zpacks is much more expensive. Plus it could possibly have an impact on temp rating as the bag gets older and the down starts losing loft.
What’s up man love the videos I see a triple crown in your future, I got a 20degree thermarest vesper it’s far warmer than my enlightened equipment 20 . I paired it with the thermarest neo air xlite had to sell both kidneys to do it . Hopefully it works out on the pct.

@@petercornetet8267 Poser Rex repeatedly claimed he thru-hiked the "entire Appalachian Trail" when he, in fact, was a Yellow Blazer skipping major portions of the trail especially in Maine walking roads, not trail. To claim himself as a thru-hiker was disgraceful. Arizona Trail, same fleas, different dog. #charlatan #wannabe
