I have to agree. Living on the WEST side of the Cascades all I usually heard about from Spokane was from that "Live PD" show and the news. Usually something about some screwball from Spokane and a cockamamie plan to overthrow the State. Having actually visited for the first time and actually looking around and experiencing Spokane..I realized I was wrong...and biased. Had a very pleasant time there visiting friends and Fam. Looking forward to the next trip!!

Towards the end wen it turns to night time I noticed that you filmed from a spot that played a big part in my childhood. It's the cliff my mom and I used to go to after getting ice cream. Although many may not appreciate it, I just want to say thank you.
I was born n raised in spokane. The perry district lower south hill. I moved to Seattle when I was 20. But came back n got really bad on drugs. I was homeless n I lived under Monroe St. Bridge for a year. I know the vains of this city. It is beautiful! I'm now clean and sober but I will always remember late nights sitting in river front park n watching the falls. The video made me tear up. It was glorious
Don't know what everybody is complaining about. I miss this place dearly. SO many great memories. Great video Josh. Been overseas for 3 years and finally got to come back for a month and I didn't want to leave it. Thank you. I'm gonna go cry now because this makes me homesick.

I think those of us who live here sometimes forget just how lucky we are. Spokane is indeed a beautiful area. You can drive in any direction and be in out of the city in 15 minutes.......great if you like the outdoors.
I'm from Southern California and I just want to let you know that I have two sons that live in Spokane Washington so I went to visit them and I didn't want to leave because it was so wonderful there and the people are the nicest people that I ever meant they're not like here in LA I just want to let you know that the comment you made was a beautiful comment and you guys are the most beautiful people and you guys are fortunate it's believed that

Dont spokane is not that nice check out boise idaho now thats a nice place to live spokane has a ton of crime and lots of drug addicts lived there for 32 years and i would not raise my kids there glad i left :)

Sometimes tilt-shifting doesn't work, but this is REALLY good, the stop motion effect and increased speed really makes everything look like toys. How did you make everything look like plastic, is it a filter?
+Surprise Muthaphuckaz It is the negative attitude people have here that attract more negative people. The more people are optimistic and motivated, the more this place could grow. For example, it was great that Macklemore and Ryan Lewis filmed thier Downtown music video here. The city just needs a revamp.
+Thea Vlogs Wait until the hipsters come and invade Spokane. The times that I visited Spokane in the 90s, I thought it was pretty nice. It was in the late spring/summer times that I was there and it seemed like a nice city to me. Always different when you visit. But a lot of the bad talk seems to be from people who are from there. I look at all those cool old buildings and think one day Spokane will have it's time. Places in Western Washington are getting too expensive. The once affordable cities like Everett, Tacoma, Bellingham are now getting hipsterized. Spokane, you have been warned. lol

Thea The Nordic Witch I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. It's bad yes, but not terrible. It's only bad in the places expected to be bad like hillyard, browns addition, just south of hillyard, and a few others. Country homes, south hill, some parts of downtown are nice. But I've never actually lived in town, I live sorta out by cheney in the country, 10 miles southwest out by windsor elementary and Thorpe and I love it out here.

I lived there in 2015 and it was awesome and now I live in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania sucks. Too many tiny towns they call cities. Really boring. Every time I look at the news there is another shooting. PA has more stupid people than any other state. They aren't very many smart people here. All the so called cities have the same layout. (organized the same way). The schools are stupid. They don't know what a real city looks like. The only city they know of outside of the state is New York City. They don't have many pretty lakes to fish in. There's nothing good to watch on TV. I like to watch the weather and the news but they only have 1 good weather channel. The news channel WTAJ (Their news channel) sucks. I miss watching NWCN in Spokane.

Verathrax yeah it's a popular little spot to get a good view of the city. Plus my man john Stockton lives right behind it.
